Carbon Poker has been offering real money online poker on the Merge Gaming platform since 2006. With a stable poker download for both Windows and Mac, an extensive player loyalty reward system, incentives for new players, and monthly challenges for tournament players, Carbon Poker is an exciting poker entertainment option for players of all types.

Players that are new to Carbon Poker may earn up to $5.000 in Carbon Poker bonus cash. With the exclusive Carbon Poker bonus code CARBONPK, Carbon Poker will match the player's first deposit 200%, which will be paid out $5 at a time for each 375 VIP Points the player earns.

Carbon Poker also rewards player loyalty with the multi-tiered Carbon poker VIP Program. From casual players to daily grinders and high rollers, everyone who acquires at least 250 VIP Points per month will benefit from the Carbon Poker VIP Program.

Operating on the Merge Gaming software platform, the Carbon Poker download is available for both Mac and PC. Solid and reliable, the Carbon Poker client is regularly updated, and provides a secure gaming environment for online poker players. The Carbon Poker software is fully featured, including an in-game hand re-player, support for up to 18 cash game tables at once, and filters and table stats in the lobby to aid in table selection.

The traffic volume at Carbon Poker is more than sufficient to find good cash game and tournament action at any time of day. While the rarer game forms available at Carbon Poker receive little patronage, players will always be able to find No Limit Hold'em, Fixed Limit Hold'em, Pot Limit Omaha and Pot Limit Omaha Hi/Lo cash tables.

There are a great deal of tight, rock steady regulars populating the mid limits at Carbon Poker. High rollers have difficulty finding competition at stakes above $5/$10, but those looking for action in the upper stakes will find a handful of prospective opponents patiently waiting at tables up to $50/$100.

Customer service may be contacted via email at Carbon Poker. There is no live chat or telephone support. However, Carbon Poker does promise to respond to all inquiries within 48 hours. Deposits and withdrawals may be made via credit card or a number of e-wallet options, including Moneybookers and NETeller.

Overall, Carbon Poker offers great incentives for new and loyal patrons, a sophisticated online gaming environment, accessibility for Mac users, and sufficient 24-hour player traffic. To learn more about Carbon Poker, please read our in-depth Carbon Poker Review.

CARBONPK
The Carbon Poker bonus will be paid out in $5 increments for every 375 VIP Points players earn for participation in real money online poker games at Carbon Poker. VIP Points are awarded to all players actively dealt into a cash game hand when the flop is seen, at a rate of 10 VIP points per $1 contributed to the rake (fractional points are also awarded). Each $1 paid in multi-table tournament and Sit and Go entry fees will also earn players 10 VIP Points.

A tournament entry fee is a small service charge paid to the poker room for facilitating the online poker tournament. In a $50+$5 poker tournament, the entrant pays $50 into the total prize pool, and $5 to Carbon Poker as an entry fee. This tournament would earn the player 50 VIP Points.

Players will continue to earn bonus dollars on their first deposit until a withdrawal is made. Thus, to accumulate the highest possible CarbonPoker bonus, it is advisable to refrain from making a withdrawal until all of the pending bonus cash has been released, or the bonus deadline posted in the cashier section has been reached.

VIP Points acquired in the casino and side games at Carbon Poker will not be counted toward the release of Carbon Poker bonus dollars. These games include Blackjack, Roulette, Caribbean Stud, Video Poker, Backgammon and Eucre. Only the VIP Points earned in real money online poker cash games, tournaments and Sit and Gos can release the Carbon Poker bonus.

Example Carbon Poker Bonus Scenario
Signing up a new player account at Carbon Poker, an online poker player decides make a first deposit of $200. Entering the Carbon Poker bonus code CARBONPK, the player activates the 200% Carbon Poker bonus.

As the player engages in real money cash games, he accumulates 10 VIP Points for every $1 he contributes to the table rake. The player also enters Sit and Gos and tournaments, earning 10 VIP Points for each $1 he pays in tournament entry fees. When the player reaches 375 VIP Points, $5 of the Carbon Poker bonus is released into his real money account.

If the player accumulates the required number of VIP Points before withdrawing funds from his real money poker account, he will receive the full amount of the Carbon Poker bonus. However, if he chooses to withdraw his funds early, the remainder of pending bonus cash will be forfeited.

I love the abundant amount of freerolls available. Once you get your first cash, you can build a bankroll without spending a dime. The SNG's starting out at .11 gives anyone a chance to build from the ground up. The competition is better than most US sites. I currently do not have experience with the withdraw process but it seems pretty straight forward. Carbon is by far my favorite.

I kind of think I am being generous here with the 2 stars. Personally I cant stand all the goofy emoticon things dancing all over the screen and the people who constantly over use them drive me insane. I also cannot stand the rabbit feature. Its always the fish that rabbit every damn hand for NO reason at all. They are not using the information given for anything of value other than wasting my damn time, this is especially annoying in tournaments.

One of the sites ONLY saving graces is the private tournaments that they offer/support. Beyond that seriously I just dont like the site to be anything more than a backup to a backup.

I used to play a lot on Full Tilt, which was my favorite room before Black Friday here in the USA. Lot of decent ring games with quite a few loose players made for building a good bankroll at the lower stakes.
Since Black Friday I really haven't been able to play online at all, so I packed away my want to play. Luckily here in Oregon I found a few live places to sate my Hold Em thirst but it was a bit of a hassle to take time out of a busy week at work to get time at the tables.
Finding Carbon Poker was a huge relief, it is just as good as Full Tilt was in my mind and until the USA gets their head straight and allows Internet Poker I am fairly stuck with limited options as for online. Carbon has quite a few freeroll options, though at the lower tables it seems that a lot of people tend to go in with too many crap hands and catch what they need so it has been hard to want to play decent hands like I would live online because of it.
Overall I think that Carbon is going to be the best choice for online poker in the USA going at this point in the game, although unless I get a bit of a bankroll built up I am gonna stick to freeroll's and playing live tournaments.

Carbon is one the best poker sites left to the US market, if not the Best. The User-Interface is easy to use and navigate, there is a wide selection of game styles to choose from and action is very good. Plenty of free tournaments for first time deposits and many more freerolls to enter once you start building points from play along with many Private Forum freerolls. Carbon is always running good promotions from Happy Hour to Two-A-Days to Free seats to The Sunday Big Ticket $100K Gtd. I also really like the variations of table skins to choose from for your own personalized table theme! The multi table screen options are very good too which allows you to tile, cascade or stack your tables. Also, a fun thing to note about Carbon is while seated at a table, you have the option of tons of little "smiley animations" and other fun gestures that you can use while playing.

If you are also into sports betting like I am, take advantage of all the sports that are offered through Carbon's Sports Book. Very good lines and odds when compared to Bovada or Sports Book. Your Carbon poker balance is already there so no need to transfer it back and forth. There is also a Carbon Casino tab which offers most Casino style table games, but as with any online casino game such as blackjack, craps or slots, I would suggest you pass. The odds simply aren't in your favor!

I give the site a 4.5 (more like 4.9) out of 5 rating. The only missing that I really love is the chip animation like Full Tilt has, although they aren't accepting US based players currently. I would easily rate Carbon a full 5/5 with a slightly better chip animation.

Non the less, Carbon Poker is an All-Around great place to play cards and I recommend you check it out already if you haven't.

It is March 31, 2013, Easter to many. The goody-two-shoes people are at church services. The resurrection I can plainly see from where I sit are the birds at the feeder, a woodpecker building a nest in a dead tree just twenty feet from my porch and red buds bursting out on the trees. After I write this review of Carbon, I'll go and play poker there.

Reality #1: I play at Carbon because over the years I have won more money, and lost less money, there than anywhere else.

Reality #2: I like the cartoon characters and the cute icons I can give my opponents, like the yellow champion crown, the blue crown, the green tick mark and the muppet. It is an add on in the category of pure entertainment.

Reality #3: Cards do not have a memory nor a conscience. While we can make reasonable predictions about the weather based on observations and known patterns, we cannot do this with cards. Cards don't give a hoot. Y'all who complained about the software just do not know the gambler's fallacy and the law of independent trials. Carbon very likely has the exact same RNG as every other site has. You don't get to shoot the messenger or the dealer of the cards, human or computer. So suck it up when you get sucked out.

Reality #4: Happy Easter, whether you hold it to be true that one human being survived being killed and lived to tell about it, or that trees blossom in the Spring. I find both rather amazing and it may be true that in the end we survive death the same way we survive at poker. [you have probably noticed the proliferation of ghost stories on TV, so just shut up and play your hand.]

One of the only sites that are likely semi-legitimate for U.S. players to actually play for real money. Pretty good for casual players like me, but for someone in the U.S. looking to make a career of poker, probably better to get a summer home in Canada or a winter home in Mexico. Most of the lower limit games and freerolls on Carbon have more fishermen and maniacs than the Santa Monica pier on a full moon. That being said if you just play for fun or are only semi-serious Carbon poker is a good place to play.

Carbon Poker micro stakes are the biggest farce I have ever seen. I for one suspect at least 3 bots, with Evanem taking the lead. If you go to a hand tracker you will realize that there are a many as 10 players doing 10 to 12 tables at a time in .05/.10, which would be fine except that every one of them doesn't spike high or low. Meaning they are always getting a minimum of 200% ROI each sitting. That works out to approximately $300 a session on micro. Sorry that my friends is nearly impossible given the amount of Bad Beats the random dealer gives. Something real fishy there.

With the smileys, I can do without, but to each their own, some times comlcal, and other times annoying, as some go way overboard with it. Good Luck all.

They have got back a lot of the guarantees and the prize pools just arent what they used to be. I also dont like that almost all of their tournament are 5 minute blind levels. In my opinion that is not poker, that is a scam. On top of all this it takes 6-8 weeks to cash out. This site could use some improvement.

There's also a wide range of games to play from $0.02/$0.04 cash tables to $0.60 SnG's. They have good guarantees especially the dollar frenzy played every night. Carbon is pretty easy to navigate and the various options for color, emotions , player notes are pretty good . The table layout has many options for personalization .You can disable chat boxes and ads/banners , avatars and chip animations . Freerolls and a variety of games run all the time on Carbon making it easy to start a small bankroll . The best thing is all the private freerolls like poker.org . The downside of Carbon is that you cannot rail a player at the tables if you are not playing in the tournament . Also the majority of the MTT tournament selection in micros are turbos or super turbos . The customer support team usually email you back within 24 hours with a ticket number asking you for more information which is not terribly helpful at all . I find that the software is questionable and with the random card shuffler , it appears that there are more bad beats then other sites ! Carbon Poker is no better or no worse than any other sites out there !

I've heard a LOT of complaining about getting 'merged', when there is a bad beat, and it does seem to happen a LOT when you are ahead, but I don't have much experience in comparing this to other sites. Been playing mostly the fun steps on Carbon to try to build a bankroll, and to me, theses games seem staged. Bad players making poor calls catch cards almost every time, and it is very rare for me to ever go on a run of good luck. Alot of boards with four cards to str8 or 4 to flush, dominated kicker win alot, any flop with a pair on board and the other player made trips. So much 'Bad Luck" that it seems these free games are rigged, and if a site will rig free games whats to stop them from rigging money games, too?
Took my winning to the micro stakes sngs and had some good results until the "rig day" when every game i played ended with a bad beat. I have been playing live poker, mostly sng, for 15 years and dont have these runs of "bad luck" very often.

Carbon Poker is definitely one of the best sites to play on currently for US-based players. If you have no bankroll to start out, it's pretty easy to get started via the Fun Steps or various other freerolls (both Carbon and non-Carbon sponsored) and build a bankroll from scratch.

If "freerolling" up isn't your fancy, depositing on Carbon Poker is safe and relatively easy. In the past, I have deposited both via Western Union and VISA before and have had success using each.

One of the things I enjoy most about Carbon Poker is the flexibility they have in the customization for the lobby and poker tables. This helps you create a really good, personalized gaming experience for you that fits your wants and needs well.

The play on Carbon Poker isn't entirely weak across the board. There are a few regulars who you find yourself play against often, but there are enough fish and newbies still to make play relatively easy and profitable over the long run, I believe.

From Cash Games to SnG's to Tournaments, Carbon Poker has it all. Whatever game type you enjoy most, you'll always be able to find something for you at Carbon Poker.

One feature I especially enjoy is the "accolades" feature. If you win or place ITM in a major tournament or Freeroll, you get a small "accolade" beside your name that allows others to see you're accomplishments and how well you've stacked up against others in the past.

The only downside I believe Carbon Poker has is the traffic/volume levels. Unlike FTP or Pokerstars before Black Friday, you aren't ever going to find the $2.20 180-man SnG fill up and be played. Due to lower traffic levels, Carbon's also dropped the prize pool guarantees for a lot of their tournaments.

Regardless of that, though, I still believe the Carbon Poker is the best site for US-based players, and that overall, the experience and winnings one can achieve here are very well suited for poker players of all ages and skill levels.

A huge positive is that the new cashier is up and working as of last week so if you are low on funds you can easily deposit using a cc online (which I tested with a minimum deposit of $20 last week) or a money transfer option which is probably like WU

Furthermore --- Carbon along with PDC and Aced allow affiliates like PO to set up private freerolls or cash buyin games so that friends can get together and play

Unique play features like 'All in show downs' & "Deal it Twice" add some fun as you follow play Easy, relaxed and fast playing, Carbon Poker has a good feel. It's relatively quick to download & install - all very intuitive - you can be playing in just a couple of minutes. Table Features I like include: Rabbit Hunt (what card would have come next) and Expose One Card also add depth to the game and help you learn. Time Bank You accumulate time from previous hands that you made quick decisions, banking it for future use. All in Percentages at a showdown with the relative win % of those remaining in a hand are great. Deal it Twice gives 2 all-in players the option to deal the turn and river community cards two times. Player accolades - earn a customisable award to your player identity showing off you've won a big event. Crazy, but bragging rights at the table influence opponents There are some genuinely unique play & lobby features.

After black friday opened account there and have learned to love the site.I like how they have variety of diiferent poker like 2-7 lowball a-5 lowball badugi 5draw and so on.
That way you dont always have to play the hold em.
Iv found micro stakes to be very loose and fun. Bad omen is that cash out takes 6-8 weeks to get a check but u will get ur money.
i have heard depositing is difficult but if you are winning player you have no worries

Not much of as choice for U.S players, for now this is the best site around. IMO. Scottys thread has it nailed to a t. Support does answer quickly, withdraw's, i dont know but will tell you soon. Hoping that goes well. Cash tables are great. Micro stakes is all I play but its ok. Not a lot of games for micro but I guess its enough. Wishing the would pick up some micro games from another merge site called Iron Duke. They have many but no traffic. Traffic is great on Carbon but has slowed with software change.Yes promos do benefit mid/high stakes players. Overall very good software and best site around for now.

Pros:
1) Table Layout has many options for personalization. You can disable all the BS like chat boxes and ads/banners. You can even disable avatars and chip animations. This enables you to focus on the cards and the cards only, which is great.
2) Freerolls run all the friggin time on this site. Great place for someone who is a beginner to pick up a small BR.
3) Promos and Support. The promos are pretty solid but certainly favor people playing mid/high stakes but they atleast give micro players a shot at winning big. The support team is fairly good. They usually email back within 24hrs.
Cons:
1) TRAFFFICCCC. Good luck entering a 180 man sng cause I've never seen one fill up.
2) MTT Selection. The guarantees are far less than those I dream about on PokerStars. Most Micros are turbos. The prize pool is mainly divided amongst the top 2 or 3 (Probably the case among all sites however). Yeah the Sunday tourneys look appetizing, but dont expect to make any money unless you have the entire day to play in one event.

Nonetheless the site is great. More money to be won on any non US site (as far as MTTs are concerned) but cash games are fantastic and sngs, with exception of 180s are decent.

Obviously being US friendly is a huge benefit, and they have solid freerolls (for PO and .org members); however, their tournament selection is limited, and the structures are just bad. Biggest complaint is their hand histories, I mean really, no stack sizes, thats just absurd and is something they could easily fix. Plus, there are no replayers that I can find that are merge compatible. If it werent for the private freerolls I would never play on carbon.

The good:
It's USA friendly that's a plus. A lot of good private free rolls. The carbon free rolls are now for cash. A lot of good promotions which lead to free tournament entries or extra money. Being able to customize tables and have your own avatar. Rake back is good. Probably one of the best options available right now for USA players.-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The bad: I don't like that the majority of the MTT tournament selection in micros are turbos or super turbos. Agonizingly slow payouts. Not being able to chat while railing. The SNG's at micro are all turbo or super turbo unless you play double or nothing. MTT Sit n go's take forever to fill up. Starting stacks except in deep stack tournaments seem kind of small especially since the majority are turbos.

Being a USA player I was turned onto Carbon after Black Friday. I enjoy it because of the variety of games available, the ability to still play for real $ and play among friends. The freerolls are decent, I treat them as a warm-up for my real $ games. Only a couple of downsides...cannot verbally rail a player at the tables (but I do understand why) and although I have not had any issues with it, I have heard that customer support can be a real headache at times. Overall, a nice place to get your game on

I actually like Carbon Poker with the new look. I like the lobby and the tables and with the new series of mtt's its a great site to play on.

The fact that US can play is a plus but I wouldn't keep to much money in there just to be in the safe side. Just deposit daily or weekly.

I would give it a 3/5 stars

Not a great site, why? not a lot of tourney options, again depositing is a joke.have to deposit in dollars.as i get charged 4 pounds by my bank.this wont be happening for me.seems be holdem holdem or holdem with a few plo,plo8 and horse thrown in.dont mind the freerolls but only because they are Free.plus is the freerolls are now cash payouts rather than mickey mouse tickets.
