I've played on worse and better. From what I rad they seem to pay out in a timely fashion. A big thing for me online. The way late reg and re-entry in the gtds is a downer, but if you're patient, you can get through it. Pulled a 7th out of a $1000 gtd over this week end (Friday).

Carbon poker is a great site and is my favorite site out of the hand full that we have to choose from at this point and time. A lot of great GTD tourneys and the SNG's and Cash games are always ready~ Plus with a free HUD it by far surpasses what other sites can offer and give. Easy cash outs and a great site for all stakes!

Deposited $50

55 preflop, 5JJ I flop a fullhouse, I go all in,
guy flops quads.
-$25

KK, flop is 66Q, go all in, guy has quads
-$25

gtfo, terrible site and quads should not be that common, and this all happened within the span of 20-30 minutes too. It's ridiculous.

Currently I feel the best in US, it has good number of tournaments. I am not giving 10 because, the guaranteed prizes are not big like pokerstars. But for Americans it is the best

I like this site a lot. Great number of tourneys going as well as an amazing amount of traffic for cash games. The site has cool features such as being able to make your own screen name and customize your avatar. You can get ribbons and achievements for winning. The games are fairly soft due to the high amount of traffic on them. Overall great American card room.

8 stars from me for one of the best poker places you can find online! I just love double up sit'n goes there especially because rake there is very decent. Software is good as well and i i'm very exited to play there again. I'v tried a lot of poker sites in last 2 years but Carbon poker definitely won my sympathy!

Carbon IMO is the best that we have to choose from in the UNITED STATES..I love the Emoticons , i love the Merge software way more then i love the Merge Network. Personalization of tables is better here then on any other site and to me thats huge, i am superstitious and i switch my color scheme and cards as well as table border allot if i am running bad lol.. I like the promos for the most part, Payouts are slow but without much worry! Overall it couldn't wear Poker Stars Jockstrap but ill take it over Bovada Or Acr, or BetOnline all day everyday! So as USA resident i will proudly give carbon Poker a perfect score!~!

Big fan of Carbon. Even though some people think it's rigged and out to get them. To that I say, well think about the times you've sucked out on somebody. Not thet they'll ever accept tht common sense though.

I like the Carbon, or Merge software for the most part, but one change they made a little while back pissed me off:
Taking away the color coding. I really liked that feature - made it easier to spot friends and foes.
I haven't been playing much anywhere lately, but when I have, it's usually on Carbon, even though I have funds on lots of sites. Can't say anything about their cashouts personally as I've never deposited there.

I play on Aced instead of Carbon even though all players play together ( I think I was verified on aced first ) and the only thing is Aced does not have a sportsbook
..but that's fine I prefer to keep my sports money separate but other than that it's my favorite room I've found and checks have always came

I never really had a problem with this site and feel the customer service has been pretty good throughout my time on Carbon. I really think it has good graphics and a chill place to play with new friends and peer. I like to play online when I do not get to play live and you can't beat the low buy-ins and cool smileys that come along with this site. It was one of the first sites i started on over a decade ago so I can say through all the changes this site has seen, it it probably one of the more reliable sites for US players.

I enjoy playing on Carbon. I like the tourney schedule, the big in's, and the traffic on the site is continually increasing. I do not like the 2-4 hour late registration times in MTT's and how poker pairs get cracked by weak aces constantly.

I don't mind Carbon but I loved Carbon poker back in like 2008/2009, back than they use to hold Satellites to live events (Which now they had cut off)+they use to hold massive LB reward programs before (Again they cut these off), last but not least before they use to hold free-rolls for money (Now it's a ticket to a game and blah blah blah), don't get me wrong it's still a good site but it's not the best site out today.

I recently started playing at Carbon Poker. I am from the US and being a US friendly poker room is a plus. Additionally, I like the table options and the versatility it gives you ie... changing your seat if you happen to be in another game so both actions can be seen, and you do not miss a play. I like how Carbon extends themselves and allows poker.org the opportunity to have private games for their members.

I would say currently Carbon Poker is the best online poker room for US players, they were better ones back in the hay day of online poker, but for now its the best. They have plenty of freerolls to get you started, micro levels, and even high stakes, 100,000 GTD every Sunday, and offer a variety of games to choose from. they have a casino and blackjack if your into that. The only downside is they only offer a check if you want to withdraw. Currently there are no other options. So you need to look at whats most important to you. Bovada has the best withdrawl methods and fastest, But still i choose carbon. It generally takes 2-3 weeks to get your check. They have great customer service. If you have a question they get a response back to you via email within 24 hours. Depositing is easy same options as others, visa, they have an ewallet you can use, or a cash transfer. Good luck at the tables.

I thought I'd posted a review on Carbon, but it seems this new rendition of .org doesn't show it. Carbon is okay for the short term game that I actually play through .org, but I don't much care for it outside the freeroll since it continues to show my br as play chips. So I keep any games played here to a minimum where I can simply play poker without risk.

Being in the USA and all the sites I really love are gone I would say its not bad. The software is not too bad deposits are pretty easy. The only thing lately I did not like was the 3 hour late registration I do not know why there is that long of late registration? but its the dumbest thing there.Your playing for three hours and someone comes in and goes all in every hand kinda terrible that way.Table options and preferences are not bad.

Carbon is one of the best remaining poker rooms for the U.S. player. Many private forum games, so a person can build a bankroll from nothing. Carbon has also been upping their game with month long promotions, and I do not mean the same boring 100% deposit bonus match.

I have only just discovered the merge network in the last few months or so. I see players complaining about Merge on tables. But I have not found anything to complain about yet.

I'm loving Carbon. Great promotions. Players must just remember to opt-in for the promotions and you are good to go.
I just wish they would drop the minimum deposit to $20 instead of $25. Exchange rate gets me everytime.

Friends feature is an excellent feature too. You can rail your friends while they play or join in the tourney they are playing.

A definite poker room to have in your collection.

Carbon is on the top of my list for US poker sites. It's the best software, the largest US player base, and reliable cashouts. They've made a lot of changes recently that haven't been popular as far as MTTs, promos, and rake goes. At the same time, I feel that extra money is helping to keep the site reliable with the cashouts, and beggars can't be choosers!

As a TAG player, I'm a huge fan of the fish percentage at Carbon. Wait for premium hands, and then go and hook them LOL. Not a big fan of the late reg for the MTT's, but I've learned to adjust and to become more patient. The "double or nothing" SNG's are a wonderful way to build up your bankroll.

Carbon or "car-bomb" as I call it. Has the most traffic for US players. Before I talk too good about them though I want to make this point clear. "They are the girlfriend you keep around until you meet your wife." They have made some changes to improve the site such as misclick all-in protection, SNG's have been retooled, more guaranteed tourneys. That being said I still don't care for their SNG turbo's, and 3 hour late tourney entry offers little respect for the players who have been grinding a hard table to watch players buy-in after 2:50 then shove 'once for the show and two for the money'.

Carbone was my favorite site after Black Friday. Software is actually pretty good considering what's left out there for US players. But Carbone is dropping like a stone in my book. Cash games have dried up to a major nitfest, SNG's take years to load (ok, just seems like years), Freerolls are really trimmed back, player base eroded as skins peel off. It really smells like the end could be near for this fading star. I've moved most of my play to Bovadaa--mostly an improvement. However, Bovadaa's software def below Carbone's.

I like this site its okay I mean the software is alright not my favorite, but its okay. I don't really get how bad beats is a thing to use in rating the site. I think there is a decent amount of not good players, but man the late reg is a deal breaker too that's why its a 2 star. Majority of us are micro players so I know that none of us want to play a 75 grtd trny with 4 hr late reg man its just not worth it now if the prize pools was bigger the late reg wouldn't be as bad but for 75 dollars prize for first making like 30 bucks I'll pass and go watch a movie or something instead.

.org uses it for games
cartoon smileys great fun
clean and un-cluttered

Bad points

late reg far too long in games
too many 3/4 x runners and flushes

once koed only 2 mins to chat
payout times vary so much
low traffic

Not a site I would recommend nor play on very often apart from league games

I've played here off n on for a few years. All n all I like it. I wish I could catch more limit games, and I haven't caught a HORSE game in the micros in a while. I must agree with everyone here in that the free rolls were amazing while the lasted and are greatly miss. Furthermore, I still consider carbon one of my top sites to play at. The look is nice e and the option for Americans to play is always great. However, i'd have to say that if i ever won a big amount I'd probably withdraw 95% of it asap cause something about the merged site in general give me a worry feeling that one day they will all vanish poof gone.

Simply put, I think that Carbon is the 2nd best poker room still available to the majority of the US population. Cashouts do take a bit of time, but I've only ever had a check bounce once from them, and the situation was resolved fairly quickly from support, with a new check arriving in less than a week.

The software is pretty good, could be better, but definitely better than most networks out there available to the US population.

Probably has the best SNG traffic available to US as well, but their new tournament structure isn't of great quality. Preferred the old lineup of events.

I mostly play in Carbon for the Free Rolls, I started on the free rolls and worked my way up to build a small cash balance that I used to grind the tables. I'm up a few thousand bucks, the cashout is quick. I'm talking about 8 days quick. Never had a problem with, and hopefully I never will.

I like Carbon, but I just don't like the suckouts that it gives.. other than that, it's one of the best options for USA poker players to play online poker. Also, they have a nice look for the lobby and table games. Tournaments are ok, I just don't like that most tournaments have a re-entry option.. especially in $1 tournaments that are guaranteed.. I see that as a waste of money (for me). Other than that, Carbon is still a good site to play..

I've been grinding on Carbon/Aced/and other merge skins for the past 2 years or so since Black Friday happened for USA players. This site continues to be (in my opinion) the best option in regards to sng part time grinders. Lately volume has gone down a lot with rooms segregating and whatnot, but cashouts are FAST (last cashout I had check in hand within a week) & volume is decent for a US player. I won't give Carbon or any Merge skin a 4 or 5 star rating since there needs to be improvement to cater to grinders & regulars. Promos are not even close to the standards set by Pokerstars.

Best option for USA players in my opinion, unless you live in Nevada and have a few more options. The site has been around for years now and is definitely one of the best softwares and overall interface. There have been issues with checks taking forever to receive (6-8 weeks) but people have been saying that its a lot faster now (less than 2 weeks). I think that was their biggest issue.

Right now this site is better because they have freeroll options ofr us micro spenders, and it allows US players to deposit. The site is kind of bland, and the game filters suck, if I click registering only as a filter it shows nothing, but if I uncheck it shows those registering with everything else. They could improve that, otherwise it is a good site.

OVERALL ITS A GOOD SITE WITH SOME GOOD AND BAD PLAYERS SO WHATEVER YOUR SKILL LEVEL IS THEYRES A GAME FOR YOU. THE ONLY THING I DONT LIKE IS THE NEW TOURNEY LOBBY SCREEN BUT ITS A LOBBY JUST LIKED THE OLDER ONES BETTER,BUT AS FAR AS GAME PLAY AND GRAPHICS ITS GREAT SITE I LOVE THE ANIMATIONS IT MAKES IT FUN AT THE TABLE AND IT LIGHTENS THE MOOD WHEN U CAN LAUGH AT SOMETHING, THE GOOD PARTS OF THE SITE IS THEY HAVE LOTS OF DIFFERENT GAMES TO CHOOSE CASH OR TOURNAMENT, THEY HAVE CASINO STUFF AND SPORTSBOOK , I LIKE THAT YOU CAN RE ENTER INTO THE TOURNEYS WHICH CREATES A BIGGER PAYOUT, THE BAD PARTS OF THE SITE ARE , THE SMALLER BANKROLLED GAMES ARENT THE BEST STRUCTURE ID LIKE TO SEE A BETTER STRUCTURE FOR THEM , LIKE MORE DEEPSTACKED TOURNEYS , AND WISHED THE SNG MULTI'S FILLED UP FASTER , BUT OVERALL IM THANKFUL I HAVE A SITE IN AMERICA TO EVEN PLAY , IVE RECOMMENDED THIS SITE TO A BUNCHA PEOPLE AND WOULD STILL DO SO IF U LIKE PLAYING POKER.

Have recently joined this site and i find the graphics and table play pretty good...
i would rate this site as being in the top 3 poker sites i have played on...
as i am only playing for fun here... i'm not rating the site for game availabilty or getting money on or off the site...
other sites i've been at can be hard to navigate and find what you want or slow my computer down...

Best site for U.S. players to get going again online until we can go back to Stars or Fulltilt...like I said it is the best we have for now but just keep in mind that there are not very many players so you have to be in more selective as to your state of mind and game selection...don't just play to play...if the game is stale move on to a different table if one is available or come back later when/if things look better

The only drawback is the time delay for withdrawal and that there have been occasions in which checks were returned for insufficient funds. That put me back on my heels and almost steered me away completely after having my issues with Full Tilt, but it didn't happen to me personally and I haven't had an issue yet. The games are good, players are generally sociable and easy to get along with, and there are enough bad players to separate the good from the great when it comes to dealing with minefield tourneys and the like, while paying off the better players.

I did wanna note that I don't see nearly as many bad beats as people make it sound like happen. If you just go in playing super tight, picking your spots, and not moving from early position, you can easily avoid those traps. It happens in live play too, where players swear the deck's rigged. It just means you expected one thing to happen and something else did. Handle it well and act like you've been there before.

...I have played on Carbon poker for a very long time, since way back when it became the sister site and eventually the main platform for poker.com that was a while ago yes? Their poker software has seen it's up and downs over the years and Black Friday really didn't so ny poker room a favor. I like the cash tables there and they have excelant tonraments for the buy ins. It's one of the few poker clients I can access anymore and play on. It is also one of the few rooms that still offer the game of RAZZ as a poker option, although finding anyone on the tables in ther eis a bit diffucult.

The software loads quick and has very few snags. There are alot of table options as well that the player can set ot his or her liking. Multiple table options are nice as well and so is the color options a playr has to mark othe rplayers. Teh software does not seem to clash when I'm running other programs which is always nice, hate to be in a lrge hand only to have it freeze up becase you running background programs anbd you los the hand.

Carbon is okay. I think there are a lot of suckouts and they took out fun steps so it's not as great as it used to be for micro players.

But it is one of the easiest options for US players to deposit and play. Though withdrawal is slow, I never withdraw anyway! Haha! But there are some sharks there as well. Watch out!

Not a huge fan of Carbon. Rake on ring is sick. MTTs that were once freezeouts are now re entrys. One positive about the site is its private freerolls and our (votf) potm games. Freerolls are easy $.

I play mainly on carbon, but I do vary between carbon, bcp, and juicy! I like carbons tables and game selection the best, I am upset that they got rid of the fun steps they were a good place to go and tilt if you had a bad beat, and that is also where I started my bankroll. We had a challenge going with some different people to see who could win the most dollars! I can't say that I won that challenge but I gave it one heck of a shot.

I have noticed the traffic slowing down a little, and there are times I wish the traffic on BCP was a little more I do like their software as well and the tables move very fast!

Very Pro feeling software. I run a ton better if I have a little cash in the bank. Overall 4 out of 5 stars in my opinion. The only drawback that i could find with this software is that it is hard to find your friends in the freerolls or any tourney that has more than 1000 peeps.

It is a good site but tough players. They smell trouble and hard to get them in with marginal hands.

Their filters on sit-n-gos don't work by design. They are trying to get you into any game. I really hate all of the games I am not at all interested.

I think the software is good.

My favorite of the sites I can play on. Good clean interface. Cute animations. Decent sized player base, and almost always a tournament and/or sit-n-go available at any stake. Lots of freerolls associated with various poker forums so starting a bankroll from scratch is not too difficult. Would probably give it a higher score if it had anywhere near the player base that Pokerstars has -- though I can no longer play on Stars. But best option for US players in my opinion.

I love the abundant amount of freerolls available. Once you get your first cash, you can build a bankroll without spending a dime. The SNG's starting out at .11 gives anyone a chance to build from the ground up. The competition is better than most US sites. I currently do not have experience with the withdraw process but it seems pretty straight forward. Carbon is by far my favorite.

. Also good design and a loot of gamblers here!
The table put u in a different way in a strange atmosphere ....silent one...the sounds are good, the clarity is 100% and the reactions response are great! The negative point is that the lobby don't show u at second the places and the chips there. But a simple reentry will clarify that!

Carbon Poker is a good pokersite and I believe has one of the best softwares, however I do have problems making deposits. I kind of think I am being generous here with the 2 stars. Personally I cant stand all the goofy emoticon things dancing all over the screen and the people who constantly over use them drive me insane. I also cannot stand the rabbit feature. Its always the fish that rabbit every damn hand for NO reason at all. They are not using the information given for anything of value other than wasting my damn time, this is especially annoying in tournaments.

One of the sites ONLY saving graces is the private tournaments that they offer/support. Beyond that seriously I just dont like the site to be anything more than a backup to a backup.

Carbon is a Good poker site. just like the rest of Merge. theres not alot of people to fill the tournys but ring games are always available. they have frequent freerolls. and i think that is a plus for carbon. they have a points system that blends in with freerolls at the end of the month. carbon does not compare to pokerstars or fulltilt. but it would be my 3rd choice overall. being that ive only played those three sites.

I used to play a lot on Full Tilt, which was my favorite room before Black Friday here in the USA. Lot of decent ring games with quite a few loose players made for building a good bankroll at the lower stakes.
Since Black Friday I really haven't been able to play online at all, so I packed away my want to play. Luckily here in Oregon I found a few live places to sate my Hold Em thirst but it was a bit of a hassle to take time out of a busy week at work to get time at the tables.
Finding Carbon Poker was a huge relief, it is just as good as Full Tilt was in my mind and until the USA gets their head straight and allows Internet Poker I am fairly stuck with limited options as for online. Carbon has quite a few freeroll options, though at the lower tables it seems that a lot of people tend to go in with too many crap hands and catch what they need so it has been hard to want to play decent hands like I would live online because of it.
Overall I think that Carbon is going to be the best choice for online poker in the USA going at this point in the game, although unless I get a bit of a bankroll built up I am gonna stick to freeroll's and playing live tournaments.

Carbon is one the best poker sites left to the US market, if not the Best. The User-Interface is easy to use and navigate, there is a wide selection of game styles to choose from and action is very good. Plenty of free tournaments for first time deposits and many more freerolls to enter once you start building points from play along with many Private Forum freerolls. Carbon is always running good promotions from Happy Hour to Two-A-Days to Free seats to The Sunday Big Ticket $100K Gtd. I also really like the variations of table skins to choose from for your own personalized table theme! The multi table screen options are very good too which allows you to tile, cascade or stack your tables. Also, a fun thing to note about Carbon is while seated at a table, you have the option of tons of little "smiley animations" and other fun gestures that you can use while playing.

If you are also into sports betting like I am, take advantage of all the sports that are offered through Carbon's Sports Book. Very good lines and odds when compared to Bovada or Sports Book. Your Carbon poker balance is already there so no need to transfer it back and forth. There is also a Carbon Casino tab which offers most Casino style table games, but as with any online casino game such as blackjack, craps or slots, I would suggest you pass. The odds simply aren't in your favor!

I give the site a 4.5 (more like 4.9) out of 5 rating. The only missing that I really love is the chip animation like Full Tilt has, although they aren't accepting US based players currently. I would easily rate Carbon a full 5/5 with a slightly better chip animation.

Non the less, Carbon Poker is an All-Around great place to play cards and I recommend you check it out already if you haven't.

It has a nice set up for skins and emoticons. They also have numerous exclusive games that vary amongst all playing prefferences. There is a wide spread of game choices from the casino, blackjack, and varies of poker (Texas Holdem, Omaha, Stud, Razz, Lowball, Badugi, and many more)!

It is March 31, 2013, Easter to many. The goody-two-shoes people are at church services. The resurrection I can plainly see from where I sit are the birds at the feeder, a woodpecker building a nest in a dead tree just twenty feet from my porch and red buds bursting out on the trees. After I write this review of Carbon, I'll go and play poker there.

Reality #1: I play at Carbon because over the years I have won more money, and lost less money, there than anywhere else.

Reality #2: I like the cartoon characters and the cute icons I can give my opponents, like the yellow champion crown, the blue crown, the green tick mark and the muppet. It is an add on in the category of pure entertainment.

Reality #3: Cards do not have a memory nor a conscience. While we can make reasonable predictions about the weather based on observations and known patterns, we cannot do this with cards. Cards don't give a hoot. Y'all who complained about the software just do not know the gambler's fallacy and the law of independent trials. Carbon very likely has the exact same RNG as every other site has. You don't get to shoot the messenger or the dealer of the cards, human or computer. So suck it up when you get sucked out.

Reality #4: Happy Easter, whether you hold it to be true that one human being survived being killed and lived to tell about it, or that trees blossom in the Spring. I find both rather amazing and it may be true that in the end we survive death the same way we survive at poker. [you have probably noticed the proliferation of ghost stories on TV, so just shut up and play your hand.]

One of the only sites that are likely semi-legitimate for U.S. players to actually play for real money. Pretty good for casual players like me, but for someone in the U.S. looking to make a career of poker, probably better to get a summer home in Canada or a winter home in Mexico. Most of the lower limit games and freerolls on Carbon have more fishermen and maniacs than the Santa Monica pier on a full moon. That being said if you just play for fun or are only semi-serious Carbon poker is a good place to play.

Easily one of my favorite poker rooms online.

From the interface,to the many friends from here & other forums who play there,to the freerolls & steps that allow bankroll building from scratch for those of us who "Refuse to Deposit",i really enjoy playing at Carbon.

Oh yeah,& the feeling of having to watch the little emoticon guy "ROFL" after getting my aces cracked by cards that had absolutely no business even being in the hand,PRICELESS !?!

Carbon Poker micro stakes are the biggest farce I have ever seen. I for one suspect at least 3 bots, with Evanem taking the lead. If you go to a hand tracker you will realize that there are a many as 10 players doing 10 to 12 tables at a time in .05/.10, which would be fine except that every one of them doesn't spike high or low. Meaning they are always getting a minimum of 200% ROI each sitting. That works out to approximately $300 a session on micro. Sorry that my friends is nearly impossible given the amount of Bad Beats the random dealer gives. Something real fishy there.

They can be a decent website most of the time with plenty of freerolls and games to enter for American players. I feel that many bad beats occur on the website though, and even though I understand that this happens frequently in poker, it seems to play out a lot on Carbon Poker.

Carbon poker is about as good as a piece of shit. This poker site has the worse bad beats. we say MERGE when most of the time pocket AA lose to 2 6 off suit after flopping trips. AA never stand up against many hands and the free rolls are hard to win.

Had to switch to Carbon when Hero shut down. They have good customer support and the best software of the U.S. facing sites.Still not as good as Hero for building a bankroll.

I like Carbon Poker, it has decent freerolls and Step tourneys. Withdrawing may be slow, but hey, it withdraws! Some of the sit n go's take a while to fill. More players would be nice. The monthly challenges are fun!

I spend most of my time on Carbon or Lock. Lock has been having a lot of server issues recently so I have turned to Carbon for my main site to play on. I can not deposit on any sites since Black Friday. So, I play where I can get the most for my time spent at a table.

I was always a fan of the much bigger sites like Absolute, Ultimate Bet and Fulltilt. I never liked the merge network. Now with the limited options left to US players to deposit, withdraw and play, I suppose Carbon is the best of the worst.

Truthfully i kinda like hero more for some reason ive been playing on carbon for about 5 months been an up n down ride-they realy dont have as much to offer in the way of building scratch nankroll but that everywhere-i do like the fact they just revamped the v.i.p section making it possible for me to play in earth vip freeroll thats cool-i also have grown to like merges graphics and the fact that you have all those little faces u can make is off the hook when im buzzed so im giving carbon overall a top rating

Despite what many say, about this site being fixed, and what not. I do not think this is true. I have good days and bad days, and this site is very consistant with their hands.

If there is a problem, it was its deposit options in the last year, but that seems to have been fixed as the Visa option is back, and I do not have to go through hhops to get money on there.

With the smileys, I can do without, but to each their own, some times comlcal, and other times annoying, as some go way overboard with it.
Good Luck all.

Carbon has gone from being one of the best sites available to USA players, to one of the worst. Since they got rid of p2p the volume really died down. Merge in general got hurt by it a lot. They have got back a lot of the guarantees and the prize pools just arent what they used to be. I also dont like that almost all of their tournament are 5 minute blind levels. In my opinion that is not poker, that is a scam. On top of all this it takes 6-8 weeks to cash out. This site could use some improvement.

Carbon is a good room to play in. The freerolls are frequent, so they give you a chance to build a bankroll in no time. The pool of players are also good and get better the higher the stakes you play. It is also a good site for beginners to start with funsteps to get a grasp of the game. I was fortunate enough to get locked into a good promotion when I opened my account, so there are good promotions if you keep an eye out for them. There's also a wide range of games to play from $0.02/$0.04 cash tables to $0.60 SnG's. They have good guarantees especially the dollar frenzy played every night. There are normally plenty of players to get into your preferred game.

Carbon is pretty easy to navigate and the various options for color, emotions , player notes are pretty good . The table layout has many options for personalization .You can disable chat boxes and ads/banners , avatars and chip animations . Freerolls and a variety of games run all the time on Carbon making it easy to start a small bankroll . The best thing is all the private freerolls like poker.org . The downside of Carbon is that you cannot rail a player at the tables if you are not playing in the tournament . Also the majority of the MTT tournament selection in micros are turbos or super turbos . The customer support team usually email you back within 24 hours with a ticket number asking you for more information which is not terribly helpful at all . I find that the software is questionable and with the random card shuffler , it appears that there are more bad beats then other sites ! Carbon Poker is no better or no worse than any other sites out there !

I've only played on a few sites, partly because the players in the US have very few options. But I have found Carbon easy to navigate, and the options given (color, emotions, player notes) are nice to have, for those that want them. I've heard a LOT of complaining about getting 'merged', when there is a bad beat, and it does seem to happen a LOT when you are ahead, but I don't have much experience in comparing this to other sites. Overall, I can deal with it, and have fun when I play.

Worst site out there that i have ever played on. it was lucky to receive a half star mainly bec they have good tournies but worst software and random card shuffler ever. it was obvious I was taking bad beats ever single hand that i was ahead because they want me to deposit again. scum bags. Carbon is the best poker site out there right now for U.S. players in my opinion. It has a variety of cash games, mtts, and the best thing is all the private freerolls for those who don't want to deposit or do not have the extra money to do so. All in all, i have had good results on Carbon, especially in cash games. So no bad words for Carbon on my end.

I like to play at Carbon and the biggest plus side it gives me a chance to play real money with my USA friends. Another plus side is that Mac owners can play poker there and also the variety of games is very good. I know some people don't like the smileys lol but hmmm I love the fart one lololol! It's a good poker site to play on and well the suckouts are about the same as they are on other sites ~ it all evens out so to speak. The biggest downside to the site I feel is that you can't rail your friends if you are not playing in the tournament. But all in all a positive experience!

+ Available for Mac owners
+ Gives me a chance to play real money with my US friends
+ The fart smiley

+ Variety of games

- You can't rail your friends when you are not in a tournament

- Some features not yet Mac available

Been playing mostly the fun steps on Carbon to try to build a bankroll, and to me, theses games seem staged. Bad players making poor calls catch cards almost every time, and it is very rare for me to ever go on a run of good luck. Alot of boards with four cards to str8 or 4 to flush, dominated kicker win alot, any flop with a pair on board and the other player made trips. So much 'Bad Luck" that it seems these free games are rigged, and if a site will rig free games whats to stop them from rigging money games, too?
Took my winning to the micro stakes sngs and had some good results until the "rig day" when every game i played ended with a bad beat. I have been playing live poker, mostly sng, for 15 years and dont have these runs of "bad luck" very often.

I've never had an issue with Carbon. It's the first program I used when I started playing and I think it's easy to navigate and proves to be an effective way to enjoy my online poker! While I wish I knew more ways to get into the freerolls and whatnot, I appreciate that there are some that are easy to get into and don't prove to be too difficult. Overall, i'm quite satisfied.

Everyone speaks of bad players. So tired of hearing that crap. If you are that good, then why are you not only in a freeroll but bashing people who are brought here for the purpose of gaining knowledge and know-how about the game of poker here at poker.org
If I thought of myself as being a really good poker player and everyone else (mostly) are bad players, I certainly would'nt say anything.
Why not just take their coin then.

Mew emw w cxzxcs Once upon a time there were two little kids named Jesse and Mary Sue. They were brother and sister. Their mom and dad had divorced years ago. And their dad now was seeing someone else. She was cruel to them behind their father’s back. She said if they got married, she would make their life’s miserable from the moment she said I do”. One day their dad called them into his room. When they got in there he told them to sit on the bed, then he said “there’s going to be a new member in the family and a lot of changes too. What I’m trying to say is I’m getting married”. “What”, they said. "Quite the surprise isn’t it?" said their father. Father you can’t it’ll ruin our family tree said Jesse. Well I’m sorry kids but I love her, before their father could say anything more they ran out of the house and let the door slam behind them.

Carbon Poker is definitely one of the best sites to play on currently for US-based players. If you have no bankroll to start out, it's pretty easy to get started via the Fun Steps or various other freerolls (both Carbon and non-Carbon sponsored) and build a bankroll from scratch.

If "freerolling" up isn't your fancy, depositing on Carbon Poker is safe and relatively easy. In the past, I have deposited both via Western Union and VISA before and have had success using each.

One of the things I enjoy most about Carbon Poker is the flexibility they have in the customization for the lobby and poker tables. This helps you create a really good, personalized gaming experience for you that fits your wants and needs well.

The play on Carbon Poker isn't entirely weak across the board. There are a few regulars who you find yourself play against often, but there are enough fish and newbies still to make play relatively easy and profitable over the long run, I believe.

From Cash Games to SnG's to Tournaments, Carbon Poker has it all. Whatever game type you enjoy most, you'll always be able to find something for you at Carbon Poker.

One feature I especially enjoy is the "accolades" feature. If you win or place ITM in a major tournament or Freeroll, you get a small "accolade" beside your name that allows others to see you're accomplishments and how well you've stacked up against others in the past.

The only downside I believe Carbon Poker has is the traffic/volume levels. Unlike FTP or Pokerstars before Black Friday, you aren't ever going to find the $2.20 180-man SnG fill up and be played. Due to lower traffic levels, Carbon's also dropped the prize pool guarantees for a lot of their tournaments.

Regardless of that, though, I still believe the Carbon Poker is the best site for US-based players, and that overall, the experience and winnings one can achieve here are very well suited for poker players of all ages and skill levels.

A lot of merge sites have come and gone, but Carbon has managed to stay, it was the first site I downloaded and I found the emoticans gave it a special flair always need a bit of fun expecialy if your poker sucks lol. I dont understand why they have so many merge sites, what is the advantage of spreading yourself so thin, wouldnt it make more sense to have more peeps on say 3 merge skins instead of what is it 50 +.

I like this site for the fact that it is still open to the US. Considering the options we USA have it has a decent amount of traffic. Not paticularly a fan of the amount of time it takes to get a withdraw check but realize that is in part due to the government . I like a lot of things about this site such as the software, traffic , emoticons and selection of games and stakes. I like everything except that I CANT WIN ON THIS SITE. Other than that its fine.

The big plus in my mind is that Carbon allows US players to compete for real money -- from micro to large buy-ins you have a variety of games to choose from at Tourney and SNG

A huge positive is that the new cashier is up and working as of last week so if you are low on funds you can easily deposit using a cc online (which I tested with a minimum deposit of $20 last week) or a money transfer option which is probably like WU

Furthermore --- Carbon along with PDC and Aced allow affiliates like PO to set up private freerolls or cash buyin games so that friends can get together and play

I've been playing Carbon recently for fun, mostly micro stakes, double up and bounty SnGs. Its a good way to get back into the game after a recent hiatus without putting a whole lot of money on the line. The freerolls have been good for getting the bankroll up to a level where I can play those games. Hopefully I'll be able to actually get enough from nothing to cash out at some point

Competition here is average. Not a ton of fish here from 10$ up buy ins tho. Love the graphics fast credit time on deposits. Love the ability to use diff skins to mix it up for players.

Other than the fact that I am also in the US.......I think Carbon is actually a damn good site! With the ability to do the 'fun-steps' for cash or freerolls daily I have been doing just fine there in regards to cashing a lil here & there to acquire a BR that has allowed me to play what I want & the ability to increase my roll...... & with the league play there from .org just 1 more chance to add to the BR when finishing ITM! SO woooooot Im all for Carbon and will be as long as I continue to do well & not have any issues from them! & Thanks to them like Arwen said at least we CAN play for real $$$ while the DOJ continue to jerk us & our $ around!

Another States player here. Since BF it's all pretty much the same. Play the freerolls and build your Br as much as possible. Its taught me and still teaching me BRM....funny how it's turned into a piggy bank thats Unbreakable.....no matter how hard you try to get the funds out they slide another requirement and other sercurity info some mya feel unwilling to give out.

As for me I have been a victum of Identity theft so untill all is back to normal (Did he say Normal hahahahaha....ok ed) I'll just leave it there and play with some very Hi Voltage Players that have only improved my game. I Thank them all very much. I would name then but am fearful of forgetting someone to has been there for me as well.

So Hi Voltage wishes to all both On and Off the Tables or

Somehow the whole card room has a friendly feel to it compared to many "big brand" generic poker sites. The site offers lots of easy payout methods including some especially to help out US based players. Unique play features like 'All in show downs' & "Deal it Twice" add some fun as you follow play Easy, relaxed and fast playing, Carbon Poker has a good feel. It's relatively quick to download & install - all very intuitive - you can be playing in just a couple of minutes. Table Features I like include: Rabbit Hunt (what card would have come next) and Expose One Card also add depth to the game and help you learn. Time Bank You accumulate time from previous hands that you made quick decisions, banking it for future use. All in Percentages at a showdown with the relative win % of those remaining in a hand are great. Deal it Twice gives 2 all-in players the option to deal the turn and river community cards two times. Player accolades - earn a customisable award to your player identity showing off you've won a big event. Crazy, but bragging rights at the table influence opponents There are some genuinely unique play & lobby features.

That way you dont always have to play the hold em.
Iv found micro stakes to be very loose and fun. Bad omen is that cash out takes 6-8 weeks to get a check but u will get ur money.

Not much of as choice for U.S players, for now this is the best site around. IMO. Scottys thread has it nailed to a t. Support does answer quickly, withdraw's, i dont know but will tell you soon. Hoping that goes well. Cash tables are great. Micro stakes is all I play but its ok. Not a lot of games for micro but I guess its enough. Wishing the would pick up some micro games from another merge site called Iron Duke. They have many but no traffic. Traffic is great on Carbon but has slowed with software change.Yes promos do benefit mid/high stakes players. Overall very good software and best site around for now.

Pros:
1) Table Layout has many options for personalization. You can disable all the BS like chat boxes and ads/banners. You can even disable avatars and chip animations. This enables you to focus on the cards and the cards only, which is great.
2) Freerolls run all the friggin time on this site. Great place for someone who is a beginner to pick up a small BR.
3) Promos and Support. The promos are pretty solid but certainly favor people playing mid/high stakes but they atleast give micro players a shot at winning big. The support team is fairly good. They usually email back within 24hrs.
Cons:
1) TRAFFFICCCC. Good luck entering a 180 man sng cause I've never seen one fill up.
2) MTT Selection. The guarantees are far less than those I dream about on PokerStars. Most Micros are turbos. The prize pool is mainly divided amongst the top 2 or 3 (Probably the case among all sites however). Yeah the Sunday tourneys look appetizing, but dont expect to make any money unless you have the entire day to play in one event.

Nonetheless the site is great. More money to be won on any non US site (as far as MTTs are concerned) but cash games are fantastic and sngs, with exception of 180s are decent.

Obviously being US friendly is a huge benefit, and they have solid freerolls (for PO and .org members); however, their tournament selection is limited, and the structures are just bad. Biggest complaint is their hand histories, I mean really, no stack sizes, thats just absurd and is something they could easily fix. Plus, there are no replayers that I can find that are merge compatible. If it werent for the private freerolls I would never play on carbon.

The good:
It's USA friendly that's a plus. A lot of good private free rolls. The carbon free rolls are now for cash. A lot of good promotions which lead to free tournament entries or extra money. Being able to customize tables and have your own avatar. Rake back is good. Probably one of the best options available right now for USA players.-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The bad: I don't like that the majority of the MTT tournament selection in micros are turbos or super turbos. Agonizingly slow payouts. Not being able to chat while railing. The SNG's at micro are all turbo or super turbo unless you play double or nothing. MTT Sit n go's take forever to fill up. Starting stacks except in deep stack tournaments seem kind of small especially since the majority are turbos.

Being a USA player I was turned onto Carbon after Black Friday. I enjoy it because of the variety of games available, the ability to still play for real $ and play among friends. The freerolls are decent, I treat them as a warm-up for my real $ games. Only a couple of downsides...cannot verbally rail a player at the tables (but I do understand why) and although I have not had any issues with it, I have heard that customer support can be a real headache at times. Overall, a nice place to get your game on

I actually like Carbon Poker with the new look. I like the lobby and the tables and with the new series of mtt's its a great site to play on.

The fact that US can play is a plus but I wouldn't keep to much money in there just to be in the safe side. Just deposit daily or weekly.

I would give it a 3/5 stars

Not a great site, why? not a lot of tourney options, again depositing is a joke.have to deposit in dollars.as i get charged 4 pounds by my bank.this wont be happening for me.seems be holdem holdem or holdem with a few plo,plo8 and horse thrown in.dont mind the freerolls but only because they are Free.plus is the freerolls are now cash payouts rather than mickey mouse tickets.
