Ctrl + "Prt Sc" or "Prt Scn" (located towards the upper right of your keyboard) will take a screenshot for you. When you take it, it's copied to your clipboard and can be immediate pasted into paint or any editor you choose. Paint is the easiest.

Hope this helps!

I think by far the easiest, simplest & FASTEST way by far is to use 'ScreenHunter 5.0 free'. The software is free to download & is very easy to use (straightforward even for the computer illiterate types... like myself, lol). After using this for screenshots I wouldn't go back to using anyother method ever!

I have been always use prnt screen and then copy paste on paint and save as png or jpg but now i recently upload image using this method my results are not good. on my own comp yes v.nice but when i upload here the image is blur its not englarged version because it is not saved correctly i feel. i think best would be to use a software for saving images of the desktop i would stick to snipping tool im sure it would work well next time i upload image using this method i will know my result.

For mac users, even if using windows parallel to OSX the following options exist:
  • Command-Shift-3: Take a screenshot of the screen, and save it as a file on the desktop
  • Command-Shift-4, then select an area: Take a screenshot of an area and save it as a file on the desktop
  • Command-Shift-4, then space, then click a window: Take a screenshot of a window and save it as a file on the desktop
  • Command-Control-Shift-3: Take a screenshot of the screen, and save it to the clipboard
  • Command-Control-Shift-4, then select an area: Take a screenshot of an area and save it to the clipboard
  • Command-Control-Shift-4, then space, then click a window: Take a screenshot of a window and save it to the clipboard
In Leopard and later, the following keys can be held down while selecting an area (via Command-Shift-4 or Command-Control-Shift-4):
  • Space, to lock the size of the selected region and instead move it when the mouse moves
  • Shift, to resize only one edge of the selected region
  • Option, to resize the selected region with its center as the anchor point

You must hold down the "alt" key as well as hit "Prnt Scrn" at the same time. Good luck

ScreenHunter5.0 free is the easiest to use.
When taking screenshots of Merge tables though, click cursor onto desktop first (instead of directly onto the table) & then drag cursor to whatever sized box you wish to take screenshot of.

You could always just use the print screen button on your desktop/laptop then paste that into paint or similar software and save as JPEG after making any neccessary edits to the picture that you have print screened

I normally have been use print screen to save images of the desktop which is v.convenient but im still not sure about this if its correct method or not simply because when i had try to upload the image on poker.org it was not clear enough but on my computer it saves v.clear just how it normally look on screen. so im guessing better way to save it keeping in mind u want to upload images onto website would be to use the snipping tool if not prnt scrn and save as high quality jpg so even if its zoomed down to smaller size its clear for other images on local comp u can just save as jpg default setting.
