Tour of 27, that Sunday we went to the first 20 places, I do not think we played badly but I was unlucky to call it. I went with another player, who was not retained. I ,
flop ,
I all in
He all in
What do you think was the other player?
He .,
And I went home because the river tower has not entered anything to help me. I
I understand that was a good pair of JJ, but I called all in, I had not really Q, but I thought if I were him, he could opponent has three pieces and I fold. Your opinion's strategy was good or bad?

Well what happend preflop?
if he raised preflop so good chance he have hand like that but it can be 88 or 77 as well
so i wouldnt put my all stack at risk on it esp that you dont have a kicker ace so if he bluff with an ace u dominate him
so i would fold even if no raise preflop he prob have better kicker

Your not really repping the queen how you played it. So his call is perfectly fine. Also no point shoving here as you only called by worse. Bad play on yur part

Cant tell you any more as you have not posted the hand history. Just you was allin on the flop and im presuming you pushed first. But you need blinds antes stack sizes and position to help with this!

I assume he raised preflop with his jj.if so you had no buisness in that hand to begin with.for as long as i been playing ill never understand why people call raises with hands like ace rag.even if an ace hits odds are unless you hit 2 pair you are dominated by the kicker and wont fold.i agree with lee.depends on stack size, and position.probably should of put a feeler bet out there to se where you stood instead of risking all your chips.yes you misplayed a hand you shouldnt even had been in.it happens and hopefully it will help you in the long run to not repeat that mistake again.its alright to play a wide range of hands as long as you know when to fold(":

Assuming he raised pre, that shoulda gave you a lil insight that he coulda very well possibly had a decent hand. Granted it doesn't always mean that, but more often than not it does. Me personally woulda been hesitant to call that even after the flop cuz of him having a better pair and or a better kicker if he had the 9 as well. So all in all we learn things everyday and in the long run they will benefit us and our individual games. Best of luck to you. *hugs*

U don;t say much in your post...u raseed preflop? he rased preflop?? i don;t think that he just called with JJ..probably he rased and u call with 97..and this is your mistake,u don;t say in wich part of the tournament happend and the level of the blinds? this is a freerol of course that he called u with JJ on that bord...because he thought that u having a Q is very hard, the odds was favored him..so i think is your mistake getting your money in with 9 7.

Another thing you didnt say was how many hands have you played with him? is he new to the table or was there a history where you or he had a chance to get a read on each other. this would also play a role as to whether he would call in this situation.

Yea need just a little more info on the hand to make a good suggestion on how to play the hand.
From what you said all ready you should have never even been in the hand with 9 7. I understand trying to win the hand with just the 9 but if you bet and get called you need to wonder what they are calling you with. Even if they had a 9 too your kicker is not so good.
I would recommend not even playing 97.

It was just bad play.it was hard to fold JJ on a flop Q9Q.i guess raise was something like no more then 3BB,cause if it was bigger you should not even see that flop.as i say only a bad play with 97 offsuited.next time try to fold this kind of cards.

I have 97, he JJ , Q9Q on the table, all in both, I bet he is not Q, and I bet my pair of 99, and he bet his pair of JJ, I expected to see any more come, or expect to do straight, I played every pair of at all in.
