I cant win with KK lately, however 99 gives me the biggest headaches. Is 99 a raising hand or limping hand?

My hand is AK. havent had much luck with it lately...

as for the nines, you gotta raise. if you dont and overcards peel off on the flop, i would have no idea what kind of hand to put them on

99 is a raising hand in late position. But UTG I would just limp. It really is preference on how to play the 99 depending on your style.
I like KK but you need to play it just right. If there is an ace on the flop you need to fold the hand and not try to go fishing for a set. Just play smart poker and try not to lottery ticket your tournament or go fishing to much and you will do just fine.

Lost last night with KK to an ace rag on the river. I feel your pain as well, take two asprin and call me in the morning, worked for me.

I am not crazy about low pocket pairs. I kinda feel dead in the water when they don't hit the flop.

Late position raise with it....early position....limp or raise depending on how loose or tight the table is....but you should be limping more from early position...

....if your limping from late position and your opening the pot....them you are playing too tight....

....if a few people limp infront of you, consider limping along with them and set mine....some players like to raise her to isolate with one opponent in position...but it just depends of what kind of player you are....if you trust that you can get a big stack without taking bigger risks....limping behind in this situation might be best.....but if you like to gamble to try and get a big stack more quickly....raising here and trying to get some extra bets when ur foe misses flop could be an acceptable risk for you :)

yeah but thats what makes them great...when you miss...its an easy decision to fold....just try to see the flop cheaply and you dont risk much but you can get much reward.....

....so calling a raise when your in middle position is not the best formula for low pairs.

Straight up pocket 10s have killed me the last few times I played them. The last time I had I folded them and they ended up hitting a set but it was still good I folded them cause some one hit a set of jacks. Its just an appealing hand that has been nothing but trouble for me lately.

I hate pocket Tens or Jacks. They usually don't play well after the flop.

It depends on position and stack size. Cash game i would raise and be cautious. Sng i might limp in if I had a lot of chips but if i was short, i wouldn't be worried about raising or pushing with 99.

AA on low blinds UTG is always a tuff play, basically I'll slow play them by just calling the big blind and play from there, depends on how many get into the pot and then what flops and I'' decide form there how strong to play them after that, most of the time it's an esy spot to let em go if pushed.

you were worth one to them ,
he is written so in the big book but the the game incalculable ,
there is a player like that always who is playing unpredictably and everything falls from there

99 is just a pair of nines if you hit trips with it fine otherwise should probably fold, I would just call with it.

99 is considered by some to be a premium hand preflop..... to me it's just a hand that beats a pair of 8's.

Early position. I most likely limp as I would with any small pair. Middle position, with no action in front of me, maybe a min raise. Late position with no action in front.... maybe go for the blinds with a 3x or 4x raise.

All of that said, it is a two outer as any pp is.... so be ready to muck if you sense danger.

2'or 3's esp if it's UTG.....more then likely I'm tossing a flat call out there and will throw them in the muck if raised pre flop......
...if ya get lucky to see the flop then ya just never know what can come! The hand is a easy fold.
