Was just curious what training sites you guys are using or have tried?

i was just using the training videos and written material in Leakbuster, but was thinking of checking out Cardrunners.

I would definitely recommend checking out cardrunners. How is leakbuster? I havent checked out those videos. Honestly, I find a lot of good videos just searching youtube. If you think of a topic you wanna search: like "floating the flop" or "c-betting" and theres a ton of good vids there. Dragthebar has a few good videos. If you dont read the forums pocketfives or twoplustwo you should definitely read those.

Leakbuster is really good if you play cash games. It has quite a bit of training content, and the vids and written material are both good. The program has helped me quite a bit, i had a ton of leaks when i first started, but now have it down to just a few that are giving me problems. Mostly folding and calling a bit too much on the river. so trying to work those out.

But it really goes in depth in your database. Will find spots where you are missing value, or situations where you aren't playing optimally, etc i'd definitely recommend it.

I have never used training sites, unless you count FTP when they had watch videos to get in their monthly free rolls.

This is a totally biased answer, but Pokersavvy Plus is the one I used. Great videos and had a good core base to the forums. There is little to no activity now, no current vid's being posted. It was a paid memebership site that I happily paid for more than four years. If your into HUSNG's there is a great site for that just look MJW006's profile here at poker.org and you can find it, he also made vid's for Pokersavvy and is how I came to poker.org with a link in his skype profile.

Interesting that you mentioned this one > PokerSavvy, because it too was one of my favourites!
Vids. by Foucault were fantastic! Also watched a bunch of Tony Dunst vids. (aka Bond18) on there (I like his stuff). Don't often hear others mention that site.

TakinOver... let me guess. Umm.. you've never had Training Site memberships.... am I right?
Personally I think money invested in a training site is FAR from being a waste. I know of a handful of players who I've watched their games grow in leaps & bounds as a result of joining a training site (not to mention the connections they made by doing so, often times being able to join into a skype/msn group with some well-established players which could prove to be invaluable).
IMO, training sites are GREAT & definitely a good investment (& the way to go if you haven't gone that route already). But like anything else, you get out of it what you put into it (ie. you can sit there and have a vid. playing while you've got a few tables up & running, maybe the TV on in the background, 'or' you can watch it very closely & work at trying to get the most out of it (< ie. I used to pause the vid. & attempt to predict what advice or line the coach was about to take, & the 'why' behind each play. Also, on vids. where they were critiquing another member/players HH vid., I would also do similiar > disect the play & then see how in line it was with coach's advice). You can get alot more out of them this way imo.

There are sooooooo many different 'types' of vids. It's endless. Just a huge wealth of knowledge at one's disposal. You definitely can't go wrong. (diff. sites specialize in diff. formats of games, so it'd be best to ask around to see what site might be tailored best to suit your needs)

I found Poker Zion through the Leakbuster software. it is by the same people. i hadn't really heard of it before. But i did like the video content and approach in LB so decided to check it out. They have regular videos, but they offer training courses. they have beginner, The Roots and Iron Lion courses. I decided to go with "the roots" course. it is 24 weeks. and each week they send you new training content on a specific concept. kind of a cool idea.

so far the stuff i've seen in the course is pretty good, so might be worth a look.

Yes Andrew's vids were among some of the best there. Was happy when he was picked up by Pokestars for team online, played with him in his home games and home game tournies on Sundays before Black Friday. Another one who had a really good grasp on cash games was Epic Fold Guy he could read hands like no one else I ever met always funt to sweat.

Yeah, I started playing poker by reading articles on pokerstrategy. I think it is the best resource, plus you can get 50$ for completing the quiz (non-US)

If you not only want a good time, but also learn how to play poker so consistently earn real money, you need to spend a little time learning the style of play in internete.Chtoby learn to play poker effectively, do not be afraid to be aggressive, because this game is much more profitable than carefully and sensibly. If you are afraid of losing money, just play for play money or on tables with a low limit, like $ 0.01-$ 0.02. The more you play, the more confidence and will disappear fear.
