What not to wear.

So I ask you....Hoodies or not? Sunglasses or not? Earbuds or not???? While each of these items might have a place at the poker table did you ever think that if you sat down at a low limit game wearing all three you might be perceived as a poser playing at the final table of the WSOP. Some of the other players might make comments and some might even be gunning for you.
I put this out for discussion. What do you wear at the casino? What are your thoughts on glasses and hoodies and earbuds?

As for me, I am a be who you are gal. I do not own too many hoodies nor do I feel comfortable in them. Earbuds bother my ears. I do like sunglasses but in an indoor environment (regardless on any reads people can get from my eye movement), I would not feel the need to wear them.

I guess that I am not very easy to read. I am basing that assumption on only a few instances when I was bluffing and a couple when I was not. One in particular stands out where the opponent actually said "I bet you missed the whole flop and have nothing (yep), but they folded anyway.

I do not wear anything to disguise. no hoodie, no shades

If I sit at a poker table in a casino, I would not use the items of clothing to hide my face from opponents, can not be read so easily, and I think this is a defect, to have always a serious face. Friends always tell me they do not know when joking or serious vb as not to betray me. So no sunglasses, nohoodies

Ollyy, you sound like me. My blank, "no expression" face looks like a slight frown to most people and is only slightly less animated than my "happy face"

Hoodies are fine, I am always wearing sweatshirts so I wear that all the time.

I agree no sunglasses, a lot of poker players have made the case that wearing no sunglasses makes you look intimadating and can help you as well, as opposed to hiding behind your sunglasses and lookiing cowardly.

As for the earbuds i can go either way. It can obviously get boring getting dealt no premium hands and not playing any hands, and music can help ease that. However, when you are in a hand and listening to music, and askingc"how much did you bet" "did you check?" "whos turn is it?" because you cant hear. that is VERY annoying

I'll be darn if I do not walk into an air conditioned building without a hoodie within arms reach. I go for comfort and am too tired of the refrigeration being blasted. So hoodie is a must. Doesn't mean I put the head on. Also, sometimes have to step out to the car and grab sweatpants, because 99 percent of my life I am in shorts(My current definition of success is, wear shorts for the whole year). And again. Same thing, I'll be dang if I am going to let a place freeze me out, so, if needs be, grab the sweatpants.

I don't need glasses to hide my face. I have not tried headphones yet, it seems rude. I do wear one earbud in lots of times when I go grocery shopping.

Now, if my hands go under the table, people should worry. That usually means I have the nuts. (I hide my hands, is my tell, because the damn things don't stop shaking).

To be honest, physical tells play such a small role in today's live poker game that wearing sun glasses and hoodies is not necessary.

When I'm the casino playing poker I don't wear anything different than I would for going to meet friends or for work. Don't wear sunglasses, earbuds or hoodies, nothing to hide or disguise. Most of the time I'm trying to get action at the table not discourage it or hide it.

I have lots of hoodies, sunglasses etc, but that doesn't factor in when I am playn poker. I wear wut I feel like wearing for that particular day. Wear scrubs all week long for work so I tend to dress up if you would on the weekends but wouldn't go that extreme at the poker table. That's an immediate target for sure lol .

I usually wear some kind of over shirt cause its usually cold in the casino and i plan to be there for most of the day hopefully winning...never wore sunglasses at a table and don't see the need for it unless its like a tv table and the lights are bright
i personally don't like to listen to music when playing it seems to throw my game off and the idle chatter is where you get alot of tells imho

I don't wear anything special, usually just whatever's not in the wash. Last time I went to Vegas I wore a T-shirt with the name of the forum that paid for the trip...I had to represent. As for ipods and such, nah that's kind of antisocial.
