Doubt they're 'stupid' criminals as was suggested in OP. I personally haven't met many dummies who move 1/2 billion worth of drugs.

The value of the dope is never what's reported in the news. They inflate that number to make the bust look good. I laugh every time they publish some stupid # and sometimes I'll get a calculator out to see how they came up with it. Usually, it doesn't calculate even if you were to value each point at street level.

And ya, you don't play at that level if you're dumb. The higher up you are, the more heat you have -- you're always on the radar unless you're one of the fortunate few who is lucky to not be detected. Big dogs aren't dumb. In fact, they're very, very smart. It's very high risk, very high reward. I know someone who was associated with a group who got busted with over $100 mill (REAL value) in dope a few years back. Shit happens even to the biggest cats in the game. I hear Oz is one of the toughest places to bring it in and also one of the most, if not THE MOST, lucrative place for dope. One load can retire you and then some. You'd probably have to do it a dozen times to make the same amount of $ if you were to bring it into my city.

I remember way back in the 70s and 80s they use to burn found drugs nowadays,hear of a big drug bust the next day that drug is all over the streets,crooked cops are plenty around here.

I use to work in a prison when i was in my mid twentys, i saw a lot of drugs , i hope they get all involved send them to prison and thru the key away
