What is everybody's opinion on this in general? Putting the tournament on delay for 2 months?

I personally love it. I think it allows the media to build up the event, it allows the players to get a little bit of fame. Plus it definitely gets the players plenty of time to try and put a rail together for the final table

I Think its great for the press...personally feel its bad for the player.
i mean you are on this run and get thru all those players wouldn't you want to contuine that run without waiting 2 months?
i know i would i would not want to wait 2 months and hope that i am still running good i want to win it now maybe take a day or so off sure but not two months

Makes no diff to me,they will watch, pick up some tells from previous tables and come in more prepared ,its way better for the players IMO,who ever is in middle chip position will win!

Kind of crazy to me having to wait a couple months in order to resume a tournament.

I guess i agree with ravenkitty, you are obviously running good if you get to the final 9 out of 6000 people, but looking at donkinbucks post as well, it gives players a chance to look at their opponents playing tendencies etc etc

After a grind like that they need some rest but two months is a long time its probably has something to do with sponsorship money or who knows

Sponsors probably have something to do with it. Also, ESPN is able to market it. However, this year it's gonna be in October...won't the MLB playoffs still be going on? I'm just saying, if an event like this is trying to get ratings, I feel like they would wait until it's not fighting against a powerhouse like the MLB

I think it makes a lot of sense to delay the final table for 2 months. Marketing, sponsorship, TV etc. I think it probably also helps the players to get away from it after 6 or 7 days of intense poker just to get to the final table.
