The only time ive seen that they let you rail n chat is after the final hand in a tourney anyone can speak. i agree we should be able to chat a little

UB and AP you had to have deposited to be able to chat at the tables. Different sites, different rules, lot of trash talking on FT with those not even playing but had something to say. Less security or looking into compaints of chat logs with those only playing at the tables who can chat.

From my experience, Merge has a tighter security regarding fraud, this seems to be part of the mind set of what they are wanting from there overall comminuty. Doesn't lend to being as social as some other sites and really discourages railing for sure. Great question, not sure I have seen this ask here.

Maybe they trying to cut down on drama,I think you have 2 minutes to type after being took out,so if someone is tilted and cussing,they only got 2 minutes,thank god,but it does take away the fun in railing your friends,its nice to say hi and let him no you railing.

I would'nt want guests or ko's to be able to talk at tables that they are not part of.

Yeah you can even observe and chat at the same time. You couldnt do that on sites like UB until you deposited but I dont think carbon will ever allow observer chat. I would like carbon much more if I could chat with some buddies on the felt.

Correct player...u do have 2 minutes avail to chat after being put out in a trny.
But to add insult to injury, what I dislike is after being put out of a trny, not being able to use the "last hand" feature. All it shows is the last hand I was involved in. If imma railing a table, I'd like to walk away from my pc and be able to scroll back on the hands i've missed.

It would be handy to be able to chat with buddys in a turny.but the network is right,in my opinion,they are only doing what they think is best for the players at the table.disgruntled players stalking tables and ranting and raving can definitely be distracting,and there is the percieved possibilty of [coaching] of a player.or collusion.

I think they give you a few minuets to brow beat the player that busted you i don't no other then when your done your done .

Distraction, lack of sportsmanship, begging, harassment to name a few are all good reasons not to have railers chatting. Do I miss it sometimes? Sure. Is it a good decision not to have it on the part of the Carbon? Yes.

Yeah... i agree with most players here. it's nice to talk with your friends, but there're more people trying to bother than friends railing so it's better to have that feature off and allow just 2 minutes for the recently eliminated players

I agree with wingman13. Good decision not to have it. I see too many use the chat to spout pure meanness. They are not in the hand, it is at a more critical level as there are fewer players and should not interfere with the game progression. I liked when sites cut off chat the moment a player went all in on a hand. That was a huge move. For example, stopped the complaints that people said one should go in because the player is a bluffer and other unneeded suggestions.

Sorry i totally disagree,over the years of playing full tilt,many friends have been made through being able support or be supported by players you ko or get koed by,plus there is a mute button if you dont want idiots giving you grief over what they thought was a bad call which koed them,plus these people risk losing chat for x amount of days etc.some permanantly if they continue abuse the chat.
when i go online i like to look which friends are online,if they are playing i like to drop in and say hello and wish them luck.on carbon at times i see no point in being able to see your friends are on line as you cant communicate less your in the same tourney and at the same table its a freakin joke.
and playing the private games ,when you get koed its nice to at least have the option of staying and having fun with a little but of a chat etc,so much fun as been had by so many in the private games after you are no longer in said game.i love being railed and must admit it makes me play loads better at times,nothing worse than friends seeing you play trash and rely on pure luck to stay in the tourneys they are railing you in.
ANY ONE EVER GIVES YOU AGGRO OR ABUSE MUTE THEM.

If anyone can chat that makes a whole lof of posts in the lobby. Personally I fing chat distracting when I'm playing and I don't miss that at all.
