DUBLIN – October 15, 2012 – Full Tilt Poker today announced that two of the biggest names in poker – Tom “durrrr” Dwan and Viktor “Isildur1” Blom – are joining Danish poker legend Gus Hansen to form a new team of Full Tilt Poker ambassadors known collectively as “The Professionals.”
Dwan’s return to Full Tilt Poker, combined with the signing of his great online rival Blom,
will reignite a fierce competition at the highest stakes tables on the Full Tilt Poker site and
creates a formidable team to represent the site at re-launch.
Dwan said: “I’m very excited that Full Tilt Poker is re-launching. I think it is great for poker
and I’m excited to be a part of it.”
Like Dwan, Swedish pro Blom is another online prodigy who has been dominating poker
in recent years. Blom is best-known for his hyper-aggressive poker style and the speed
with which he first made an impact on the game. He first started playing anonymously
as “Isildur1” in 2009 and was soon crushing opponents in the very biggest games.
“I always loved playing on the Full Tilt Poker software, it is where I made my name and
enjoyed some of my greatest victories. When they approached me about joining the team I knew this was the right fit for me.”
On a sidenote, I can't say I am too surprised to see these players join FTP. Isildur's departure from the PokerStars Pro Team had a rather good timing, so to speak. Very good choice of faces so far.
I really wonder if Patrik Antonius and Phil Ivey will join as well.
I have to admit im excited about playing on FTP again,i never thought i would've been this way after everything that has happened but they are doing alot of the right things and it's going to be good to see them 2 playing again aswel as the others,i always loved FTP software and the Rush games, now it's zoom on stars and i think there will be tons of players back playing on there.
Really goona find it hard to Download Full tilt . Still a bit angry at what went on even though my bank roll was very small. my anger is more aimed at removing my many USA friends when it all went tits up. But saying that i did find it a very enjoyable site to play on. So when the time comes i will hit the down load button and have a look at it. Dont really care who the faces are to get me to down load as long as the crack is good

Dwan just moved to Macau. He has not played online since black friday but has been playing a lot of live high stake cash games.
noooo What sad day this makes. FTP and PS are, or rather were the only sites. I have ever enjoy playing. Even though the bad beats fell like rain droplets. Oh well bring it on Merge.
May the tables have mercy on us all.
I should say those players name are very good for FTP but i hope the site dont go the way that last teams go and from my point of view having great and well know players on the fulltilt is good for people who wants to trust again in online poker

I'll be in the same boat Is it sad for me to say I never uninstalled FTP??!! I agree those players are a fantastic start to a new beginning. Will be fun to rail them once again

True, but realistically, think about the casual player, who doesn't see much of poker besides ESPN and WSOP and players like Phil Ivey. I mean, that's what recreational players recognize. So it only makes sense to have big name pros front the site. Not saying I disagree with you -- it shouldn't say anything about the trustworthiness of the site. But it's just one of those things, like, what else are they gonna do?
For me FTP was all about the traffic! Watch the stars, play some freerolls, the FTPA, micro and low any game you wish.Don't like a table get another.... Merge just does not have the glam. FTP was like browsing Macy's and getting what you needed at walmart at the same time....Except Esther Rossi KICKS ASS!!! and the walmart lady is well...the walmart lady
I think i mentioned on this before though the news of the pros was new to me. this kid "isildur1" is in odd choice. i watched this kid play big stakes before. where does he get this kind of cash to play like that?????? family money. i am sure he made a ton after the fact but where did this kid come from??? i would love to play some high staked games like that, its all a matter of perception. 1 dollar or 100,000 thousand dollars, a bet is a bet. who am i kidding, i would wet my pants risking that kind of $$$ on a poker hand. i will download fuul tilt to watch like others have mentioned and can only wish i could play RUSH POKER.
For me, there was nothing like FTP's non-turbo 45-man SNGs. The traffic was delightful -- I especially liked playing the early morning US hours to get at all the LAG donks playing on Euro time. Oh, the good old days.
