We all hear about Fulltilt just about every day.We can fairly guess whats happening there.
What About Ultimatebet/Absolutepoker?I had about the same at AP/UB as I did Fulltilt. How come we are not hearing anything about the owners of AP/UB.the Cereus network?

Wheres my AP/UB money?

Cereus is dead and gone. No one has interests there anymore. FTP is obviously targeted by someone who wants them down. It was also way bigger than cereus and needed more attention.

It wasn't because someone wanted to take them down, it was because they were a fraud. Don't you find it slightly disturbing what Ferguson and Lederer did?

By the way, to stay on topic (something I'm not good at) Cereus is long gone and totally and completely bankrupt. You will never see your money, and I don't even think there software is still up. I hate to say it, because UB used to be my favorite site, but its never coming back

I'm not saying that they don't deserve it. I'm sure they did the things they are accused off and much more.
What i'm saying is that those things wouldn't come out if someone didn't want them down. Do you think PS didn't had skeletons in the closet? I'm sure they had. It's true they managed to handle it good and pay all players but still.
AGCC moved very fast to revoke FTP's license while Cereus still runs, even if they have just 5 players. Cereus is in worse shape than FTP for sure and you don't hear nothing about it.
If i learned something is this life is that nothing happens in this world if somebody doesn't profit from it.

And the latest news on AGCC revoking FTP's license come to confirm my statement... Do they look like they care about player's money how they stated at the beginning?
Whatever the truth is, it sucks bad for the people with money still stuck in those sites. They are just collateral damage in the game of the big guys.

I was wondering about AP as well. I dont think they are bankrupt as they made a ton of money. They had huge rakes at cash tables with the bad beat jackpots and some of the highest buyins fees for tournaments/sng's of any site. Not to mention all the money made on their blackjack and casino. I think they are just laying low and waiting for some kind of regulation.

I don't think they are screwed either. They were associated with UB, but they can't be in that bad shape as UB. With that said, I don't think they're rolling in the money or anything. I think both are headed in really bad directions, and won't ever get back to their former (shaky still) status

I get what you're saying. I think someone might have been responsible, but with the DOJ or FBI, all that takes is leaking a small bit of information. It would be effortless. With that said, I have no idea who would do it

I think it's been stated that FTP was not a ponzi scheme. Two different situations -- bad management of player funds/bad management vs outright cheating scandal and bad management.

Ap/Ub seem to slowly letting cashouts happen, that has to be the difference why they still have a license.

I think the ponzi reference is in regards to only the people at the top getting paid while everyone else loses once it collapses

The alleged ponzi scheme with FTP was that shareholders were getting paid from funds from depositors and not from profits. Those that wish to withdraw will get paid from subsequent depositors. Since not all players will withdraw all their funds at one time, the scheme can continue until the company lacks funds to pay out withdrawals which would cause a collapse. Or until an audit is ordered like the DoJ has done.
