Merge clock in lobby

Is it odd to everyone or am I not with it anymore... the new change your time in the lobby.

My laptop displays I am in the Central Time Zone. On Carbon, I have to set my Carbon poker lobby display clock on Eastern Time Zone to match the clock on my laptop.

I took an hour expaining to my Mom why we need to display her Tennessee time in the Galapagos time zone instead of her proper time the Eastern Time Zone.

I finally switched my time zone to GMT - xxx so I would not have to see EST in my CT zone. I need to give up poker.

Time is messed up in my Carbon lobby too, but I don't give much attention to it, I still know and / or remember the times my tournaments start, so I don't care. Tried my best (for a very short time, I must admit) to make it work and display the right time, but I give up, still putting me 1 hour behind. Other than that, no problems with the lobby or the play itself.

After the new software update automatically it also changed the time of the lobby, going to show the local time (Brazil) and also remains a problem of registration of the tournament, showing incorrect number of registered players in a tournament, especially in Sit & Go, that hinders a bit because I never know the number of players who are actually registered in the tournament

Wrong bensprocket, if I set the lobby time to Central time I miss the game by an hour. I have to set the time for eastern time in the lobby to have the 7:00 games start at 7:00., and I am residing in the Central time zone, not the eastern time zone for the summer.

I just am the person that does not like to find oranges in bags listed as apples. In computer jargon, they loaded their array with the wrong data.

My moms time zone was off also. She had to set her Carbon time zone for the galapagos islands timezone to not miss tournaments. there are no kimono dragons in her state of tennessee. If she chooses the eastern time zone, she misses the tourneys by one hour. So I am suggesting that Merge has their U.S. timezones incorrectly listed by 1 hour.

Yeah, it's pretty annoying. At first, I thought I just had to set my time zone off by one hour to get the right time to show up in the lobby.

The real problem is that the lobby time is off by one hour from the tournament start times.

So when I see 21:15 as my lobby time, I was quite surprised to go register for the tournament starting at 21:15, only to find that it had already been running for an hour.

I thought it would only be slightly tilting, but it's actually been messing with me a lot. Makes it difficult to schedule tourneys a day or two in advance.

The times seem to match up correctly on UTC, so that's what I'm on right now, but obviously it is WAY off from my actual time zone.

To deal with the frustration, I noticed there is a UTC -100, UTC -200, UTC -300, UTC -400 all the way to UTC -2300 in the clock settings. So I just set it to the correct UTC -xxx time for my time zone. This just displays a heading of -xxx.

Oops, GMT, not UTC.

Hmmm, interesting. I think I'll try this. I would love to remedy this and I'm not sure when Merge will provide a fix (especially considering all the problems with 6.0, and how long it took them to consider integrating time zones into the client). Will try it when I get home later. Thanks.

Yeah, I am -5 EST but when I did that my time was still off. I ended up putting -4 and it turned out to work with the clock that i go back. Hope that helps.

Its probably my biggest gripe about Carbon....the tournament lobby takes waaaaaaay to long to update....you have to click on the lobby and sit there and wait for it to update....its so annoying and troublesome especially around the bubble.
