I felt good about my game lately so decided to jump into a good structured $20+2 5k GTD on Carbon. You start with 3k in chips and after the first hour I had 4k. Stayed pretty much the same after the 2nd hour but at the 3rd hour break, I took some hits and had just 2k...which at this stage is not so good :)

I went upstairs to grab a drink and my two yr old Bella was there so I took her back down with me saying, "Are you gonna be my good luck charm?" and "I hope you got your run good shoes on Bella." As soon as we started playing again, I started winning some pots and it was a crazy action packed hour. My stack went from 4k to 9k and back again....but the final two hands before the 4th break would belong to me and I ended up with 17k.

I then had all my prem hands hold up getting double knockouts with pocket KK twice! I also won a huge hand vs another big stack who overplayed their AK vs my AA. When we got down to 20 players I was chip leader...having twice as much chips as the 2nd place player. i was in this exact same spot the day before in the $500 Exclusive FR and in that tourney I attacked the blinds and was bulldozed....out in 13th....so today with 10 minute blinds and a huge stack, i chose to pick my spots...it worked and I was chp leader till we got down to 5 players...

The hand that crippled me was just a bad beat in a real big spot....blinds 4k/8k and this guy shoves 115k with 33....im in BB with QQ and have him covered by 40k...I snap and a crab bit me on the flop! So much for GTD $810 going for $1200 with chip lead....ughhhh..
