It's gsp week at 888 poker!

There are several RESTRICTED Tournaments for Canadian players at 888 Poker this week to welcome GSP to the poker room. They have $1000 knockout games, a couple of $3000 freerolls and a special night to win prizes, either for free or for just 8 cents. With several ways to win a seat into the big $10,000 GSP freeroll on Sept. 1. I just got myself a seat! gl if any of my fellow Canadians are playing in any of these events!!! 
888 is becoming 1 of the best sites around now and i'm sure they even beat p/stars last year as best poker site for the amount of games and promotions it's offering,it's a great site and u can buy into 1k tournies for as little as 8cents and they always invite you to play in some decent games just for being a member just the same way they are doing this for you Canadian players,gl at the tables.

Beat Pokerstars as best site for amount of games?????? Surely you are kidding.I used to watch my Dad play on 888Poker but he actually stopped playing on there for a number of reasons, one of which was > not very many decent structured MTT's in the $5-$10 buyin range (almost all of them hit blinds 100/200 by 1st break which is a structure that is more than twice as fast as your regular speed tournament on Pokerstars).
Another reason > the site uses up alot of RAM on puter & makes it difficult to play on a bunch of poker sites at the same time (this was on a computer that had 4GB Ram, & decent processor). When he added in Tournaments from 888, his computer would begin to lag. Note he had zero problems when running as many as a half-dozen other poker sites simultaneously with up to 20 tables on screens).
Lastly, when 888Poker set multi-table restrictions to a maximum of 8 tables this was the final straw (he still played on there occassionally playing ring games for 'fun').
Deposit bonuses were pretty terrible - - offering those super fast structured freerolls instead of having a better VIP program in place (especially for the micro players).
Pluses from what I was told are: players are generally really bad on that site (in both Tournament play & ring games).
Off-topic here but wanted to mention this because I felt that the comment '888poker > stars' was just way out there & far from the truth.
(can verify by checking out the numbers on PokerScout).
