I`m sure there are variations ,but the way we used to play was like this ...everyone antes, lets say a dime...everyone gets 2 cards...the person to the left of the dealer either folds or takes a card face up for all to see...it continues around the table...the persons still in with their 3 cards starting again with the person next to the dealer can now bet,and the others can call or raise or fold...the trick is if you call the bet and lose you have to pay whats in the pot,the winner collects the pot and the next hand contains everyones "burn"money. Ante again and start pot 2,pots can get quite big and its up to you to have the "GUTS"to call....sometimes we played where a 3 card straight or flush bet a pair, and if all folds to the dealer and they don`t have an Ace then its a dead hand and everyone antes again and the next hand continues with double antes,it was a fun game making the long hours of travelling easier to the next hockey game on the bus!

Ive played in between, kings and wee ones and plenty of variations of guts. Ive had to cover a 2700 pot in a game before and won thank gawd. Game gets way out of hand i wouldnt play with friends at all.

I do not know if i understand well, this game is a poker game (such as Holdem, Omaha, Razz etc.) Or is a card game only? This game can be played online in a software?

This sounds like a variation of poker ... not necessarily a poker game. It would be fun to play with a bunch of friends who just want to fool around and collect some chips while doing so. Any card game can be a whole lot of fun when everyone knows the rulse. I don't think it would be a true version on any poker game that we know of though.

Played a very similar variation many years ago. Never for money, but instead to win a seat at the euchre table when we had too many players.

I played this game a few times. It isn't really a game of skill, or at least much less so than poker.

its a form of poker because you use the best poker hand,I`m sure you`ll never see this online, kind of a dealers choice type thing!

same ^ & agreed!
Used to play this game (& 'in-between' & 'stooker', etc. etc.) in my teens & as mentioned, games (size of pots) would/could get wayyyyyy out of line!!! Started playing this at ~14yrs. old saw some pretty massive pots for that age.

Back in my teens this game would get played usually after the beers wher about gone.

i also remember playing "in between".......2 cards dealt (flop).. u bet all or part of a "annteed" pot on the next card being "in between" flopped cards....you would call after flopped ace if it was hi or lo....ace lo with -ace-hi is the best odds hand.
BUT if you pair the board with your card, you double the pot...first game I saw a whole pay check in the pot DOH!!!!!..glad it wasn't mine

You hav give elaborate instruction as to how to play this game GUTS but i always find rulse complicate me unless i actually get down to playing the game then it all makes sense but from what i read i believe this would be v.enjoyable game to play with friends while having drink and play for casual fun its remind me of another game in which one person has to hold or stick card on head for every1 else to see and then i dont know the rest lol that too is one of these fun 'drinking' games
