Its a good idea to play the games individually, it gives you a solid base to start from. also dont over play the games that you think your better at because you will end up playing to many hands in that game and bleed chip from what should be your bread and butter games.
in the games that you may not have as much experience with, play basic abc poker and watch for the players that do have experience in them ( and yes some people do know how to play razz, lol) other than that have fun , horse is one of my favorite formats in poker, gl

That's a good idea. It is just hard to find a lot of Razz, Stud, Stud Hi Lo games to play outside of a HORSE tournament. I will give it a go though.

For HORSE lovers, such a tournament is starting at CarbonPoker the same time as the league's. I play them both, and always a good game since I think it's not as boring as playing the same game for hours, that being NLHE. It's challenging by shifting the rules every table orbit.

I played HORSE sit and go freeroll tournaments at Big Bet Poker and didn't know how to play Razz,Stud or Omaha.I only knew how to play NLHE,so I always wanted to finish the tournament before we got to Omaha,Razz and Stud.Nowadays I play NLHE and sometimes PLO and still don't know how to play Razz or Stud,because they aren't popular as much as NLHE.

I played HORSE for the first time i got v.confused. Initially it was normal texas holdem then suddenly when horse mode got activated i just kept on betting without realising what im doing and won the hand lol after that sat out for a while. Obv i dint win dint last for more than 15 mins because i was knowing not what i was doing. Can someone plz explain HORSE in simple manner i wud like to play this fun game again i just need to understand the rules better.

What is the difference between holdem poker and horse poker? Where would I go to find that type of information?

Horse has 5 games that are played this in order:
H = holdem, O= omaha h/l, R = razz, S = 7 stud hi only, E = 7 stud h/l
in tournaments, the game changes at each blind level, and starts over at the end of 7 stud h/l.
most of the time it is played in limit form.
the merge network has horse tournaments

You like it because a big part of the people played at this tourney dont know how to play the other poker styles like : Razz, Seven card stud ! Big part of the players that played at this tourney know how to play only holdem and small part omaha the other just push and reise with no idea what they have ! And for the H.O.R.S.E and i dont know some part of the other styles of the poker and prefer to play only holdem and omaha !

Thank you for this extremely nice explanation of the game. I would play it again had played it on carbon once was doing well till omaha then didnt understand what happened after that. I shall learn more about razz and stud games before playing HORSE again. I have never played those before should be fun to learn new types of poker

I love playing all poker games yrs ago it was stud now a days its holdem horse is a good game to play if you like all poker in one have done very well in them but at the end of the day i just love saying ALL IN LOL gl in all your games

One of the nice things about learning different games is that you learn things that translate back to games that you think you know well.
Also the variety of games makes the whole game itself more interesting.

AdiGBN on site PokerStars is very detailed and clearly written all the rules of these games. I advise you to play in turnament for playmaney to lean how to play these games

I like horse,play most everyday at hero micro,finish itm 7-8 times of 10.i like the game,i hate the freeroll at merge horse,2 many players with reraisging on 3 cards in razz and stud,razz is brutal.not good to play just b4 making itm ,a234 needs a 5th and 2 many times ive seen it burned,u have 2 bluff a lot more in razz with 3 low cards up.only lke 3 cards 7 and below to start.

Yep elwood i agree its like u are brushing up ur skill in many different types of poker games during the same game i wonder if this is actually played in live poker events or is this just an online game. Has it been around for a long time mayb it would have but i just heard of it recently i never even knew about it

Yeah i like to play horse some times with horse if one game is not working for you ma by the next will plus you forced to change your game and thought pattern i have had some luck playing it its a game that keeps you on your toes for sure

I don t like to play horse ...because i played only free horse on carbon ..and it is pot limit...but once i finished second place ,,,

I dont play HORSE too, but if i would play may be i would play only 1 tournament at a time cuz if i play 6-7 turneys at a time it will be sick to play sum HORSE gameI wont be able to concentrate in another games thats 4 sure, so my strategy is if u play HORSE - play it single

I play carbon's horse 200 fr sometimes, it's ok but you have to pay attention when the game switch or you will be in trouble for sure..lol

Yeah, the worst switch is from razz to stud. I get confused fairly often at that point. It is easy to tell when going from Hold Em to Omaha, Omaha to Razz and Stud Hi-Lo to Hold Em since the number of cards dealt is different. Stud to Stud-Hi Lo isn't bad since a good Stud hand can be a good Stud-Hi Lo hand as well.
