We were the same...filled up the night before last (was 1.24/litre I think) and went out for a bit yesterday and just about choked when my daughter saw the first gas station advertised 1.33/litre..like what the hell?? Since, I kinda live in the middle of nowhere, we haven't much choice to fill 'er up and do whatever we have to do. Sure cuts into the budget.

Was talking about this with a couple of my friends yesterday, wonder how high it will get before a huge % of the population will literally not be able to pay it...

and then they have this $20,000 machine in their driveway, with no way to make it work!

just food for thought

If that "helps" gas prices are going up here too, doesn't count if the local currency is getting stronger, gas price is ONLY going up. Talking about that, last time it did like two days ago, the previous was in like two weeks before. True about the world politics: common people would say: hey, US got Iraq and Kuweit is free, Saudi Arabia is in debt so they have to sell what they have, the oil, but no... There's always a "good" reason somewhere...

Well in uk gas prices are at £1.40 a litre which is about $2,they are literally pricing people off the road and driving will soon become a luxury because of it,i prefer to drive diesel cars and get some nice cheap red diesel from my friends who work on building sites, full tank for £10.,can't beat that.

I live so close to stores when I am in Florida. Was thinking I could just get rid of the car in three years. Save on the monthly car insurance of $50.

Feel for people raising their families these days. How are they supposed to take them to the seven wonders of the world when the 8th wonder of the world happens to be high gas prices.

Saw an Olympics commercial where a woman gives her son 2 bucks for gas. When I grew up, gas was 27 cents a gallon, so it would have bought just short of 8 gallons. Now it barely buys half a gallon. Need a revolution. Freedom is just an illusion. Even if governments charged zero for taxes, businesses charge usury prices for their products.

My dad would tell me when he was younger that he and his friends would pool up a ton of their change to have enough gas to drive around for the night...now if everyone pooled up all the change they could find, you would be lucky to get home

When gas was $3 a gallon and my 2000 Mazda got 30 miles to the gallon,,, that comes to paying 10 cents to drive a mile...With it at $3.50 a gallon I'm to tired and angry to figure it. Ya'll take care.

They messing with us, they like to put it way up then bring it down half of what they put it up and people think they are getting a break, it makes me mad its all tax, everything we buy is taxed,, the money you earn they take out tax, then at the enfdof the year you pay tax on whats left, whats wrong with this picture - there I vented so I wont run over anyone today.

They jacked up the prices right before Labor Day. Watch them drop right after. It is such an ugly game. I paid $4.09 for regular yesterday.

Of course most people didn't go through the gas "shortage" of 1974,,,You could only buy gas everyother day. Lines, sometime were an hour or more to get to the pump,,,stations running out of gas,,and so forth,,, that semed the time that "they" knew that they had us by the *^%#s...take care

Fortunately where I live I can get to most things on foot. I've actually been considering getting a motorcycle or a scooter for transportation as I'll be starting school in September & its around 35km from here.
