So the story starts like this..won a tournament..all very good..had some real big money in account...but after 3 hours after won..a downsing started..putting me on tilt..and I took a shot playing a 100$ super turbo heads up..had 600 stack..he 400..he was a fish..a stinkin fish..he all in with 22 ..and i payed with 88..and the flop comes 8 4 5 ...turn 3 ,river A,i almost cried lol..and soon after i lost all my money on shitty 888poker..the question is..what should i do to avoid this bad beats? They are driving me crazy.

Dude, you gotta pace yourself man. You can't push your bankroll around like that. I'm sure if that guy was a fish like you were saying he probably went and did the same thing. Bought into a bigger tournament and lost all his and your money. You're gunna get unlucky in poker and odds aren't usually 100 percent in your favor, especially before the river. You gotta spread your money out and play the percentages. Its like investing, every time you buy into a game you are investing in your ability to win. Heads up is a lot of fun and it can reap a big reward, but its also very volatile. Its all or nothing. Trying to sum up what I am getting to, don't put all your eggs in one basket. You gotta diversify your portfolio. The unfortunate news is that bad beats will always happen, you just gotta be prepared for it. P.s. patients is a virtue. Playing super turbos that rush your play may be convenient, but they can also be costly. That rushed atmosphere is going to put you in those situations that result in bad beats.

I really don't like playing at 888(Pacific Poker),because that 888 network is crawling with cheaters. You probably noticed how many people with the same nickname play in the same tournament. And 888 network does nothing to prevent that. But,if you like playing at 888 poker and can earn some money there, then my advice would be to stop playing if you start getting bad beats or when you get nervous.

Would have been tough to avoid this beat. I'm guessing that this was early in the game and blinds weren't extreme, but it was a super turbo and what else should you do with 88? Could you really have folded them heads up?

Well..it was a shot..if I won the sitngo..was break even...and I wished so much to win that..all the problems were going to disspaear...if I won that heads up,but after I lost..it played another and another and another..till bankroll went to 0..eh..it was a tough time..now I am not angry anymore..and I am just trying...to get over it and construct a new bankroll starting from 0$...and playing a lot of freerolls..even if i win some cents..it is still good..cause I dont invest nothing..just won 1$ from iron freeroll..so will try to make some from them.

Sometimes I like taking those shots but only if I feel like Im playing really good and Im zoned in. Its never a good idea to take a shot like that on a little downswing as a way to get your money back or repair your bankroll.

If you play by the br rule maybe stepping down to lower stakes.downswings can be destructive for sure..hmmmmmmm

If you almost cried, then something tells me that you played way out of your league, and didn't feel comfortable on that level. One tournament win doesn't make us masters, remember that. But the hand was very unlucky, you almost wish he had just catched his 2 on the flop, then giving him runner runner

Yeah you gotta resist the temptation, stay in the small SnG's, bankroll management etc etc. It's definitely a bad beat, but you shouldn't have been there to begin with. There's gotta be some option you can set to not let you play on the higher stakes
