I rate that the guy was a maniac.. Very hard to put that down unless you know his play style. You win that hand more often than not against a player like that. I would put my chips in almost every time on a hand like that.. and definitely against a maniac.

It's really annoying to see a hand posted like this

What you need to do is, EDIT your post, and use ENTER after all the lines within the editing, and it will come out looking good. Just a tip and little help

I feel your pain buddy but theres nothing you can do about stuff like that. Sometimes those are the people who are paying you off big time and sometimes they are the ones getting paid big time. It is pretty standard to see some donkey do something like that he might have been trying to bluff you and show also he might have shoved if he didnt make his straight also. Yesterday some guy four bet when i had aces and i called and he had 10,9 suited and hits a straight so sometimes this happens it feels terrible.

IMO His post flop bet to me seemed weak by betting almost pot, just a thought but a raise here may have got him off the hand and stopped the suck out,I`ve raised threads before about slow playing and getting in trouble...again your half pot bet after his check on the turn was an easy call for donks chasing the straight and when that card came on the river,if you didn`t put him on the straight draw from the beginning it was a hard but not impossible fold... altho probubly pot commited...with the dangerous cards on the board...For him to be chasing for that kind of money really shows how horrible players ,play at almost any level...horrible out come my friend, make notes and you`ll get your money back from him another day...good luck!!

Thats def a bad one to take....not sure why you didnt shove on turn after his bet....if he is on a draw, make him pay the full amount...the last thing you want is for him to check fold the river if he misses his draw...but I understand if your read on him was very weak...(which it was) and you wanted to continue to let him drown himself....

...thats why cash games can give you fits when you lose huge pots like that...its def frustrating...kinda like when you flop middle set vs top set....if you get into a raising war....your losing ur stack.

Here is a small analysis of my thinking thoughts:
1. raise preflop: 7 times bb ( often refers to monsters)
2. Flop: villain bets pot (10,50 into 10,50) gives me the indication that he is either really strong or bluffing (polarized).
3. By weak calling I also give the option to the guy on my right to raise with a AJ or other marginal hand.
4.I see him having an overpair, AK or complete air. I also dont want to scare his air hands.
5. The board is so dry that (again) his hand is polarized where my disguised hand is way stronger
6. My turn bet gives him still options to cold shove and expect me to fold. Betting more gives the notice that I am already committed (which I dont want him to believe)
7. Him shoving on river made me sick.
