Is Being Aggressive with Draws Good or Bad Play?

Some poker pros say bet your draws, it induces your opponents to fold, but they dont fold when they have a strong pair or a two pair sometimes, imo play depending on the reads you sense on your opponents and how much youve already commited to the pot.

Sometimes its a nice way to trap, not bet too much though, value bet your draw, then if it hits on turn, a check looks like your scared and opponent may try to bluff you with big bet, works sometimes.

I think it definitely is good to be aggressive if u know ur cards are v.good so there is lesser competition so more chance of winning. but at the same time doesnt always make sense to go all in better to call first even if u have A n K like how i just lost right now. The other guy had A n Q n there was a queen in the river.

Well first off chasing a draw aggressively is one of my own personal leaks. I can't tell you how many flushes and straights I have chased and lost, the odds just usually aren't in your favor. That is of course unless your playing on the Merge network, in that case you can always could to get sucked out on the river. But I digress, I think current blinds and your chip stack play an integral role in your decision whether to chase or not. For instance I actually play draws quite often in the early rounds simply because blinds are cheap and when you hit it you are usually paid off quite well. But as the tournament progresses and it cost more to chase I find myself becoming more of a nit in regards to draws. But to each their own, play your style.

I will play mid aggressive early in the blinds, meaning that 2/3 pot raises still leaves me a solid chipstack, and reduce the aggression as the blinds ncrease. Also the timing and table position can allow an aggressive play. I f i've been playing tight and have a stable table, then that also let's me bet out as a semi=bluff because of table rep.

This topic seems very situational. It depends where your chip stack stands, and what type of gaming you're playing (full ring, tournament, etc...) Being aggro with draws isn't too good because you have the chance of being caught, but if you just check it you can calculate pot odds and if you're not getting good odds, then it's probably good to fold.

Yeah I always try to calculating the pot odds and the outs on the table, it could be good or it could be bad depending of the situation.

Raising a draw on the flop is one thing raising a draw on the turn is almost shear insanity unless you are drawing close to 40% of the deck which is rare

Depends on stack sizes and how big of a draw and how much is in the pot. odds are the key
