Yesterday CarbonPoker in a private freeroll.SB i have KK.blinds 10/20.the guy from utg raise to 82,next one instant all in...i say in my mind KK..what can be worst AA or any ace on board...what the he... call.everyone folds.showdown:my KK vs 22(in my mind yeahhhhhh got you).flop cames 8 K 2(me again run if you can now).turn came Q.(now that's a great way to start a tournament).river 2(maybe next one i will more luck).sickkkkk.
I just beat with a JQ, J*, J* three in a row. They all had an Ace. I was hitting Jacks, and they continued. I had to fold a few times, tough to but necessary. Same thing with AA or KK. Pot comitted, get the win.
Ahhh, that's rough indeed. But believe me, it gets much worse. LOL, sometimes I wonder what it must be like to be the statistically unluckiest person in the world. I imagine that person couldn't even play poker for money .
I had a sick beat myself when I was starting to get deep in a MTT, very close to the money. Nice stack, bet a flopped set. Guy raises me (he had a open ended straight flush draw). I call, and turn QUADS. We get it all in..... boom. He hits the straight flush. 2 outs and he hits one. Ldo, right?
Min-cashed the tourney (I had him covered by a bit), but basically dwindled down to 5-6bbs and shoved / lost about a level past the money. MEH.
You just got double coolered there is nothing you can do about that its just poker and happens. Sorry for your sick beat maybe your going to be the person next time holding the aces when somebody else has the kings.
The only thing I can say here is an Ace will always beat KK. What is more incredible is that you were dealt them twice in a span of 5 minutes. Gl with them in the future.
Not to long ago I lost twice with AA in the daily dazzler....once with 15 players left when it got folded all around to the small blind who pushed his huge stack with K9 off trying to stupidly steal my bb when I had AA.....we both were big stacks in the tourney, it was such a high risk low reward play...but he sure got rewarded when he two pair.....
....i was able to rebound from that hand and build a big stack again and make it to the final table only to have my AA cracked by tens! That still didnt bust me and I chipped up some more but then utterly flailed out....I was just not destined to win that tourney even thought I played some top notch poker.... :(
