I was playing a double or nothing on merge and the blinds were still at 15.30. I hadn't played a hand yet and started the hand with 1500 chips. I'm on the button with tens and the guy in front of me raises to 90. I 3-bet him to 180 and he flats. The flop comes A-10-5 rainbow. He bets 180 and I raise him to 400. He then jams and I'm thinking cha-ching! He rolls over 77 and I think to myself what a idiot.......Then a turn 7 and a river 7 I want to strangle him......wasn't that much money but I thought about that hand for days.

Not only did he stay but he jammed me........It was only a $1 tourney that I was playing to pass time. So I really didn't care about the buck, but that hand was in my head for days. lol

I have seen these players many times playing on merge. You just unlucky. lol Yea, I tend to think about bad beats a day or two after also. Always feels like punch to the gut. Just gotta shake it off. GL in your future games

Yea i normally do just shake it off and normally never let a bad beat bother me. I mean we have all got our money in with the best hand and lost just like we have all got our money in with the worst hand and lost. That beat though I just was absolutely stunned. I was like how can u play so bad and catch so good. lol

Well that was a tough loss but i have lostt with quards before , it deffinitely hurts but i always say thats poker and from a merge site , it seems to always happen a lot with the merge sites, its something we all have to put up with and the guy that one proberly shouldn`t of stayed after the flop but some players just play anything and go all the way with them, but just forget about it and go on playing with that hand behind you

Seems there was a similar hand a few years ago featured in a WPT trny...In that hand the only way he could win was with a runner runner turn river to match his pair, and it hit. I don't recall what they said the odds was against that happening, but it was amazingly high!

I don't think I've ever taken a beat like this. I remember way back in the day I had A8 vs 88 on 8 x x. 8 high flop. And we got it all in. I was thinking I was probably good at the time - this must have been in a freeroll since it was when I first started playing. Anyhow I hit A A for the win. Almost as brutal as running 7s but not quite since there were three aces left and only two 7s. Cant say ive ever lost to running 1 outters like that. Pretty gross man!

Like all said, it was bad play of that person. But me want to say you dont see it at merge only.
Incredible with what kind of hands people plays and get away with it. At the end they will lose but its so frustating you get beaten by them.
