That was a really poorly played hand. You had nothing when you tried to bluff him with the reraise, and didn't reraise nearly enough to make it look convincing. He had something like 6-1 pot odds to call your raise, and no one is going to fold that.

Then you called his all-in with an over pair to your 8's possible on the board and a flush draw.

Guts...possibly but if I was him I wouldn't have folded that either. Wit the odds in hitting especially the flush and only re raising the minimum in hopes of him folding his flush chance I think is only teasing them to play the hand and most will. Had you raised bigger when you hit your pair and not re raised when you had nothing then perhaps the outcome woulda been better. We all play things differently tho of course as well as learn lessons as we go too.

I wasn't putting him as having hit the Queens, or a pair of any sort Which is why I min-raised him, and I was half correct. Looking back on it I should have raised more on the flop.

Very bold call on the turn. In this situation it was the right one. Just an unlucky river.
