You ever think that there really is no such thing as a bad beat?

Maybe it's just me but the cards do what they do and the player does what they do. Often your actions are what creates the so-called bad beat. Just sayin'.

It's only a bad beat if you played your hand correctly.

Proof players regard bed-bit as unpleasant, but an inevitable component of strategy which in the majority all the same is advantageous. All players in poker face sooner or later this unpleasant phenomenon.

yep absolutely true i went all in on a straight considering there was no possibility of a flush thought im gonna win for sure and was hoping someone would call. Well someone did call but he had a full house so that definitely was a bad beat my worse one till date! Losing on a flush if u hav a lower card is not really a bad beat according to me but this definitely was it sucked big time considering thr were only 4 ppl left n i would be in itm

I wouldn't consider a straight getting beat by a fullhouse cause you didn't see a paired board and didn't consider the fh possibility a badbeat.

This is a badbeat: After losing a majority of my stack with AA, after an A x 5 flop, went allin, got called by 5 5, the river was the one out 5 (badbeat #1), i proceeded to build stack back up, then got J 10 in bb, flop J J K, decided to slow play with only 1 other in pot, turn was the 10, giving me the fullhouse, still slow playing with small bets after turn, river an A, giving me hope to get paid off, straight poss., 3 hearts so flush possible, and sure enough, I get him to go allin, what does he flip over, A J, better fullhouse, guess not really a badbeat since his starting hand was better, but really sucked after earlier hand.

Obviously there are such things as bad beats.. Think about it. If pocket aces loses to 26 off suit isn't that a bad way for the aces to lose? Lol may sound pretty simple minded but it's as simple as a response that I could come up with. Or you can just considered a bad beat if you go by odds.

Bad beats happen so much in poker due to so many combo ways of making hands and players playin loosely base of blinds or nature.deal with it and move on..gl

Ya that's rough. Can't blame him for calling. I would call that a bad beat cooler. You were destined to go broke whichever way you got to the river.

That's not a bad beat if he already had his boat when you shoved. That's called bad luck.

You are 100% correct.. if there were not loose players creating action there would be no bad beats... There would also be no Fish so keep up the action play.

Sometimes you meet players who play every hand. I am lost AA vs. J2 playing all-in preflop .So I did not play loose .where is the mistake here? I think it's important to consider if you're wrong, to analyze what happened, and to improve your game permanently. sometimes lose playing the hand correctly.

All seems to me it is nonsense. Yes there are rigid moving, bad beat, but it is normal. Without them anywhere and from them not to get to anywhere. It is poker and a distance will give) Good luck!

Alot of bad beats are brought on by our play this is true.

Bad beats are caused by the opponent being in the hand when they shouldnt be . that and that rng thing thats really bugging me the more i lose to wildly improbable stuff like the A3 that open shoved on me when i had AA he flopped a 3 and rivered a 3

I agree with Jbetta here .. A 3 ? The only time I think A 3 should be in a hand is if it's a blind that no one raises .. I have gone all in with Ace rag if I am way, way short stacked and more often than not it does not pay. I see a lot of A rag in these games and its taking a lot to get used to. If I have A rag and someone raises three times the blind .. I am most likely going to go away UNLESS I know the player to be a complete idgit who will shove with anything .

is there really a correct way to play your hand in poker? there are so many different ways to play the same hand that can work. Just need the right timing.

A bad beat in my opinion is uhave the winning hand and the only way your opponent can win is runner runner, the other ways of bad beat is u r ahead and they have to hit 1-4 outter on the river,an 8 outter or more is not a bad beat, going allin with pocket aces and getting cracked is only a bad beat if its late in tourney and a fair amount of money is lost, going allin with ak and getting beat by 83off is not a bad beat for example.this is my opinion

If you get your chips in when you are way ahead and lose that is a bad beat

ie. - if you have KK, flop a set, but allow a guy (by making it cheap) to make runner-runner straight with his TJ, it's not a bad beat. My definition of bad beat is when the money goes in and you're at least 70% vs 30% and still lose
