I have noticed something that is very common in all of the forums I have belonged to. People tend to create, post and reply to threads and blogs without reading others.
When I log on here for example. The first thing I do is read all the latest and updated threads and the replies. I go to the very beginning or to the point I had left off and read every single reply. Then, if I have something to ask or add I feel confident that it is new material. I look at the list of threads asking the same question or saying the same thing and I do not understand why that is.
9 times out of 10 your issue has been addressed and your question has been answered. All you have to do is read.
Happy reading everyone.....

Good post wingman
I seen alot posts made and they did not read the entire thing before they posted.
If people would spend a few moments reading the threads and posts, they can seek the answer they looking for.

Like for instance, today, I replied on 3 different threads regarding the same question..
And I locked a few.

I was thinking the same this this morning when I saw a new thread asking a question that was just answered on another thread.

Part of it is getting used to the layout, patience ;)

You make a good point and to be honest I have done this myself. I do try to read the complete story in a series of posts as it is often very relevant how it develops. However sometimes when I log on I do not have a lot of time and I therefore need to put my hand up as being guilty as charged sometimes.

Because of earning points m8

I think when having a site like this with many members, almost everything is said.
So people try to get their points with double posting, useless posts etc.

And u r so right, you see it at lots of other forums. Only posting to get their entrance or password.

Nothing will change untill owners/administrators have more time available to watch closely to posts (deleting).

I think its like curt said....some people might not be familiar with all the places certain things are being talked about....it happens all the time in diff forums...be patient and things will all work out in the long run ...good luck in finding out what people think and what goes on in their heads hahaha.

I think alot of the repeats is as previously mentioned, that people sometimes do have time to read everyones post, although i try to now, back when i was a super newbie , ( its only been 2 weeks) i was really just trying to find my way, and would ask silly questions, ( sorry ). I just find being able to make friends a really cool thing at this site.

I think the point is they are trying to acquire points and perhaps dont have the time to look for every thread about the same thing, but when answering the one they do pick to post on, they should at least read the answers already given because most are the same that have just been replied to just sayin but good point!

I agree I've seen it on a lot of forms myself, I try to pick the ones that interest me before I just start writing. I dont want to just put up any old thing.

Good point Geraldo. Sure thats most of the reason and the other is maybe just laziness and dont care . I read All if not most. Sometimes its alot and you dont have time. Then you just post, I have been guilty of doing a few times im sure. Pretty soon the new admistrator will be wingman. If position opens vote 4 wingman. If she observes the game like she observes these posts, WATCH OUT!

Good point,as a lazy git.i usually just read the thread and flick through some of the comments, unless theres only a hand full.then i post a comment if i have something to say,if that happens to repeat what someones put but i aint noticed, then at least the thread author hasnt just got one persons point of view which he might not agree with but 2 to which might make him think oh well maybe there right and im wrong,,,just my 2 cents.
and i will always be to lazy to read every single comment when lots have been posted ,sorry but bet im not the only one whose that lazy ,

The thing is about not reading all of the threads from the beginning is, very often buried in those threads is very important information posted by RK or Guru or Ioi. They do not usually make a separate thread. I have found one liners by Guru with new info. In fact I have reposted them in a new thread to call attention to them. It is your choice to read it all or not.

First and foremost im here try have fun and enjoy myself, without causing drama.so reading every single word in long threads or reading every single comment on a post or thread deters from my enjoyment.good luck every 1 and heres to doing what makes each and every one happy without causing unnecessary drama.

I think it has alot to do with members trying to get points so they're eligible to play in the freerolls.
Members will post useless posts, double-posting, etc.
Probably mostly only posting so that they can get into the games. I see it on a few other forums too.

OMG! I should've read 'every' post on this thread (I skipped a few) cuz I just noticed mine looks almost like a repeat of Geraldo's. (omg! and now mine is lookin' like a double-post of a repeat! ... sigh).

Admin. must have a heck of a job on this site! I commend them on their efforts! (is 'commend' the correct word here?).

I don't agree with you here geraldo... Personally I think is a better idea to create the culture in the players to write valuable material than creating a "post-deleting Patrol" It's about culture not about regulation and opression
