How Did You Derive On Your Poker Alias?

The town I live in has a famous painted water tower that say Florence Y'all. I decided to choose my online poker alias “POKERYALL” based on a little history of the tower which stands in the city of Florence, Kentucky and is located between the Florence Mall and interstate highways 75 and 71where it is seen by millions of interstate motorists annually.

Originally painted with the words "FLORENCE MALL" in giant letters, legal questions were raised and some business owners claimed unfair advertising practices for the new mall that was being built, then the city of Florence was informed by the Bureau of Highways in July 1974 that the signage was in violation of state law restricting how tall a sign promoting a business could be, and a change was mandated. The then Mayor of Florence, devised the idea of removing the vertical lines at the sides of the M in MALL, adding a stem to make it a Y, it was a corny solution at the time, but it was very cost effective, and the tower has become an instantly recognizable landmark over the decades.

Looking for a unique poker alias when I started playing poker online some years back, I decided to use the word y’all, which is used quite a lot from folks around this part of the country, and placed it in front of the word poker. When playing online and someone makes that infamous comment “that’s poker” referring to beast or bad play, I just can’t help typing in the chat box, “ that’s poker y’all”...

So in the late 1990s when I took this name wingman13, my two sons were into radio controlled planes and flight simulator on the computer. I was kinda new to the internet and I asked my son to suggest a nick for me. The 13 is my birth date and lucky number.
I like the name and it is the ONLY nick I use everywhere give or take a number change here and there. My sons are now adults and one is a recreational private pilot and the other just finished air traffic control school.
I'm also a very nurturing person so I tend to be everyone's wingman.

Over 10 Friday the 13th sequels say differently. Although Jason could make a case for luck I guess. My father and son were born on Friday the 13th, so I do think it is a good day for more than just movie titles and negative connotation.

I use pricechoppin pretty much every where and I have had this screename for many years. When i went back to work p/t i started at a grocery store here in Canada called Pricechopper (now they have all closed in Ontario) but anyways i was on yahoo one night with a personal friend and she said will you be on tomorrow and i said no i am pricechoppin! We both laughed. So on the days i worked i would set my personal status to pricehoppin. Naturally as i became more active online that was the name that stuck. Throughout the years as people got to know me I have been called several variations of the name and i do answer to them all. In fact i know who calls me what even, but pricey seems to be the one mostly used now as i think its a bit more feminine. These are some of the names i get called to my face anyways!!! ROFLAMO
PRICE, PRICEY, CHOPP, CHOPPER, PRICECHOPPIN, MSPRICEY and my real name is Kathy. I started useing MsPricey and Pricey on some of my other merge sites as pricechoppin has been put to good use.
