and yeah, I agree on a free league is not quite nice to complain given the FREE character but is also good to let the managers know if something is not good. the point that is free shouldn't mean we just have to accept everything hands down either, the point is to get balance.
You're entitled to your opinion. But in the end I decide what and who's acceptable. The majority of players in the league can to be honest easily be considered to be our by far least valuable customers. We can't have our least valuable customers take up the majority of our time. Makes no sense.

If you're so disappointed, you're welcome to go somewhere "better". If some people in the company could decide, everything but western Europe and North America would be blocked from the site altogether.

For those that don't seem to understand, businesses are in business to make money. Unless you are a tracked player to Poker.org and generate them rake or some sort of income, you're not really an asset. To act like you're entitled or that Poker.org owes you something is stupid and naive. They have the right to do whatever they want, however they want, whenever they want -- golden rule in business "he who has the money makes the rules". If you have issues with the system, sure, voice it -- but don't be an ass or dramatic about it. And when you do it, respect the host/provider's time.

Imagine if you were in their shoes. Not just the league and prize money, but think about the content on this site, the contributions of the writers, all that work and more. It's all FREE to you and they DON'T ask for anything back other than to respect their guidelines and not waste their time. On that note, I do realize and appreciate everything Guru and Co. has done.

.

4) I have changed the prize money to the final from $1000 to $250 and will be giving the $750 difference out to the top 10 players in the final who have played in at least 5 events during the season.

5) I have given ROYALKNIGHT forum admin rights so he can delete threads/posts.

6) There appear to be a lot of conspiracy theorists here. No league will ever be perfect, free or not, just look at the cheating going on in the huge tournaments on PokerStars etc. You should spend less of your time whining about this stuff and more enjoying yourselves.

We actually have systems in place to look for duplicate accounts, and I can assure you it's not even remotely as common as you may believe.

7) Posts in the non-English forums no longer give points. I'm also going to start cleaning up the blogs and guestbooks etc. Anything non-English will give 0 points and be invisible to members who don't speak that language. Way too much russian posts now.

8) I have rescheduled the upcoming weekends events so that I can go over some e-mails regarding chip dumping.

9) I will probably edit this post with more things. I don't want to see any more threads with constant whining. If you want to contribute to the forum, do so by talking about interesting things. If you don't like it. Go somewhere else.
These two things are huge for the league and solve two monster problems we had in the past. Easily killing two birds with one stone. Most of you know royalknight the player. I know royaknight the man. His love and respect for this league is 2nd to none outisde the poker.org staff. His ideas that he has for side games is pure genius. While we take a short term absence we get a long term gain.

Since the league will not be playing this week maybe we can finally do our side game heads up tournament!

Good stuff.
I always thought how rude people are when it comes to Free Money.
If people would understand that not all things go according to plan.
There will always be Human error and Mechanical error.
Thanks for the effort Guru.
Remember if you don't get your way..Don't Trip!!
See ya next week.

I find that many poker players would be professional complainers if someone would pay them for it. Live they berate dealers and complain about the establishment constantly. With the anonymous nature of the internet only makes the trait grow.

I think you need to constantly remind them that what they are complaining about is FREE. Also that their participation is not a right, but a privilege that can be revoked without what they think of as "due process". Most will be able to see the ridiculousness of their stance and back off.

Some, however are here for the divisiveness, not for the poker, the free stuff, or the awards. they want to argue and dispute. It is why they play

man, I never said you didnt have authority to say whats acceptable or not
and I never said I was your MOST valuable customer
and if someone in the company decide to block everybody but those continents you mentioned my life is gonna stay the same...so I dont know why so sensitive on me, I just said it was good to get some balance but if its so bad...ok, you're the boss

I am here because I meet the requirements of the league...if you need something else from the players, just ask, but dont make me feel like I owe you something. instead of making the whole crew feel like a charity club ask for higher requirements or rake quotas so you dont have to say stuff like "you're the least valuable customers"

Guru dhernandezq ( David ) is one of the nicest guys I have meant on this forum and he is a very respectable guy. I honestly don't think he meant more then yes it's free but you should be able to ask questions about things you don't agree with or want to question. I mean I'm a member here and I feel I should be able to ask a question without feeling I did anything wrong. Potstealer

It's this statement here: " the point that is free shouldn't mean we just have to accept everything hands down either" (and yes I know you said something about balance). That could be read as "so what if it's free? Doesn't mean we have to put up with the rules if we think it's unfair." (and the answer to that statement is....yes, you actually do or you can leave).

Guru may have came online after a few days absent, behind on some things with Poker.org, and then he has to read god knows how many threads/posts about things insignificant to his bottom line. Everyone here has vented and I think he has the right to "vent" as well. You might not like what he said but he has the right to speak the truth and I think he communicated that very clearly. No beating around the bush -- would you rather have him run circles trying to explain something? Most of us, including myself, are not valuable customers to Poker.org.

He is the host, we are the guests. We need to respect his hospitality not the other way around. Oh and I forgot, he's running a business.

and on the other hand I am not disrespecting his hospitality, I am just saying I meet the requirements of the league which are HIS requirements which means I am doing my part for the league am I not? if I have to do something else... tell me.
He's not saying that you aren't. But I can definitely understand how he might find some of your statements mildly offensive to him. My take is that what you're saying to him and what he's saying to you is being taken out of context from both sides -- he didn't like what you wrote, you didn't like what he wrote back. It's just a misunderstanding.

Congrats Royalknight , if I can help, just call .
In my humble opinion, legalize the "chip dumping", will be one less problem, and the tournament will be played as a team really

Hell no they shouldnt allow legalized mutli accounting you have your site for that already.

Some of like to play poker the right way! Dream team poker worked without people having to use cheap tricks.

You can play as a team without ever having to use things that violate almost every single poker rooms rules.
