How many of you raise AK preflop? does it usually work out with you? My experience is, it doesnt, so I dont raise preflop. Then again I am a very tricky and might switch up my game.

So do you? yes or no and plz tell me why? I read books, played many many games. Just looking to view opinions here

I raise, but it depends on the other betters. If there are a lot of betters, i will usually limp in case I get screwed on the flop

Yes i will raise AK pre in any position, the trick is knowing when to give it up. sometimes you will have the best hand without even pairing the board. you need to get your read and feeling from your apponent. his betting ect... should give you the info you need and also the hands he has showed down in the past.

Depends on position. If you're UTG, raise 3xBB to eliminate competition from those that were just planning to limp. Only those with stronger hands, (except donks of course) will either call or reraise. On the button, if it hasn't yet been raised, again 3xbb bet here. If your stack is large enough and it's already been raised, 3x bet the raise to see if the raiser is actually comitted to the hand and to give the impression that you may have a better hand. It's better to be HU with 1 player than just calling and end up having others hit the flop and continuing with the chance of killing your AK.
