I used to win at ap or where ever everyday lol or i win 1k a week......my bs detector continues to go ding ding ding....lol if you subtract what you lost from what you won thats the real profit lol ..ever get sick of hearing this bs ? ive played online since it started and it would be very very hard to profit from a first deposit i dont care who you are. I profit-----stats might not show it but i havent deposited since 2002 and play buy ins everyday----if you make yourself quit depositing youd find out how good you can be without having that bail out option. try it sometime

I agree.i quit depositing since black friday and still have a bankroll on 3 sites.when you take the safety net away you tend to play different and have more appreciation for bankroll management.as far as first deposits go i have never only had to deposit once on a site, but several times.all be it when i first started depositing i only do the min of 10 or twenty dollas and it virtually impossible to start a winning capita with that.it not only takes away the room for swings and variance,it also limits the number of games and stakes you can play in.still do got money on bovada though i never deposited there.won the old 500 dollar freeroll they used to have when it was bodog.probably the only reason is i dont use it for poker games on there but 4 the sportsbook.

From my money I have deposited just once..100$ and lost them in one day:)) after this i did not deposited my own money..i won them from freerol and then deposited on the site i wanted to play..this is the best thing u can do if u want to make money from nothing...some ppl don;t understand how I can make money from nothing...well...u can if u are a good freerol poker player...then the hard part will come, after u have a bankroll is hard to make a decent profit monthly,I had a medium profit only at cash game on stars 0.1 0.2 cents and 0.5 0.10 but after i went to 0.10 0.25 I've lost all my profits in one day...so i got back to 0.5 0.10..I;m not ready yet for that stake..u are right is hard to make a decent profit from poker...u need to play very very good, and not panic when u lose money from your bankroll.

@Ler0y : good to know someoen else that has never deposited on Carbon either. I know from expericence, just like you do, that if you give your best, then you will succeed, Good ppoker will always prevail. Dont go on tilt , and proper bankroll management is the real way to go. Numerous times i have been able to get my bankroll up just from freeroll and grinding out 5% of my bankroll per session. its very possible. It all depends on how bad you want it and how hungry you are.

They did screw us. I can't even log on to AP or UB and I have decent bankrolls on both. Makes me sick.

Can't believe how they could get away with this. This is why so many clients are now banned from the US. I know that bodog screwed me, and they even wanted money from me when they owed me. Very sick, one day I will burn them to the ground wether that be here, in hell, in heaven or whereever... I want my money ******

I know you pretty well Leroy. I have played aginst you for years. You have a good poker game.
I won a litttle bit from UB. But most of my big wins are from Fulltilt. Now I have to play on Carbon and it has been really tough to win on that site because of all the bad play and river suck outs.
I would go back to Fulltilt if they reopened in a minute.

I do know what you mean...everybody saying that they used to win on one site (ie, pre-black friday), but can't on this other site. And the first thing they try to say is , "Well, the site is rigged!" haha bad bad bad.

Its not that the sites are rigged, they are fair to every1.its the fact that the money they rake from cash games and tourneys is what keeps them in buisness.the more players in a pot the more rake they get.they could care less who wins.only that as many people stay in the pot as possible to generate a bigger rake!!!its common sense.so in that way it is rigged.how many times in live poker to you some1 dealt.aa.kk.qq.and ak the same hand at 1 table.hardly ever.online very frequently.look up the odds of that happening sometimes and youd be quite overwhelmed.online poker is nothing more than mere bingo and should be looked upon as such.or even 3 people with poket pairs.the odds of being dealt a pp are 16/1.three people i have no clue.you can listen to the bs they push down your throat about you see more hands in a shorter period of time online.bottom line is they need to make money to stay in buisness.

Agreed...:)

i've never brought a cent in from the 'real world ' into poker-world...

if one doesnt allow oneself the option of a deposit, then it sharpens one's game no end, and forces good bankroll management....and good brm is as important as good poker skills to stay above the game....

sayin that...in my earlier days i went broke 3 times....lol...it really sucks bad havin to start at the bottom again.... that should be motivation enough...:)....

glgl to ya..:)

I hate to break it to ya but i use to withdraw between 800 to 1500 every week for almost 2 years on ub. There was tricks to it and it was a grind but i know of several that did the same.

Also my first deposit of 50 bucks i had at 7k before 2 weeks time most of that comein from a win in a 100 buy in but entirely possible.

Alot of it had to do ith the structure and the the ability to convert TDS into cash by playin Heads up however the site caught on to us and stopped it.

I was fortunate that I did a withdraw on AP or UB about 2 months before Black Friday. So I am only out about $80 on AP/UB combined.

Yeah. I have deposited, but by withdrawing winnings from my other sites. I generally will do a $20 deposit and it keeps me on the good side for no hassle withdrawals. I know another time I did a $200 deposit, withdrawing $500 on another site. The $200 is sitting at over $650 now.

Be willing to jump to the sites that pay you the most for your valuable time. Poker.org has it right. Offering a bunch of $250 freerolls puts them right up there on the list of must play games.

im not inclined to think that its the bad play of others that makes the games so tough since black friday, its the fact the the only ppl willing to go through the hassles of depositing and withdrawing from the sites avalible are the people that are better players and are still trying to improve their games. in other words the fish are gone and only the higher end of the food chain are left.

what do you mean its very hard to profit from a first deposit?

I understand what you mean about using the deposit option as a crutch or an excuse to subconsciously not play ur best ....and to the avg player I would agree...especially players who dep the min....like $20 at a time....its very easy to blow thru that and you might go through 5 dep's before you turn it around and start making profit.....compared to depositing for $100 and going down to $70 before turning it around..............when you dep $20 u are prepared to redeposit......when you dep $100 you are prepared to build upon it.

.....but as for your comment about its hard to profit after a first deposit.....I dont know why you say that is?

Bankroll., I disregard it, I would be very difficult because I play a lot of SNGs, not weight, I understand from friends that is in your favor to make your bankroll better, that if you play the tables for those who play steadily, I read somewhere that bankroll goal is to combine and maintain a constant balance between what you spend and earn. I have not made large deposits or have invested a lot in this game, we had deposits of $ 10, $ 20, which I have invested in small tournaments with entry $ 0.11, $ 0.60, $ 1.10 and $ 2.20 bonty tour, or free, we won we reinvested

I'm not really a profit at all, looking at my negatives ROI.
I think I got at least over $3000 negative comparing from my other stats.

If at least made a money over it, it goes directly into a +roi.

I have a spreadsheet online that i redo every day with my deposits and balances and i am 100+ in the black. don't really consider myself a winning player but i do win my fair share and i think that they are right its only the higher food chain that are playing the cash buyins here the fish have moved on to either not playing at all or just playing at their local casino.

I think it's fine if someone wants to deposit (during a downswing) rather than keep large amounts online to avoid depositing. If they didn't, they would be playing under-rolled.

As a micro/small stakes player -- I now play $3-11 and used to grind $5.50 and $11 45-mans on FTP -- I find that for the sites I play on (Merge, Cake) I shouldn't need to deposit. Although I do play under-rolled sometimes as a result. For example, if I win $50 or $100 in freerolls, I'm not going to drop to $.50 buy-ins for bankroll management. I'm gonna play 1/10th or so of my BR at a time on that site and if I go bust, grind more freerolls.

If I saw better value in the tournament scene, I would feel better about depositing, as a decent ROI at decent volume would make freerolls worthless. But right now, I can no longer even play MTSNGS -- there is 0 traffic. MTTs are not my strong suit, in comparison, though I am certainly winning overall.
