Uhhh. Is PS trying to do a monopoly on rush poker...

PokerStars have taken over the battle to patent Full Tilt’s Rush Poker according to a recent eGaming Review article.Having never secured exclusive rights to the software they created a few years ago, Full Tilt's fight has now been handed to PokerStars along with the rest of their company.[...]Because Full Tilt never managed to acquire a patent a number of copies emerged, including PokerStars' own Zoom Poker, but now it seems the new owners are moving to these identical products.[...]

If a competitor tries to do something similar, they can sue them. Being as everyone else is smaller, with less capital, the threat of a cash sucking lawsuit is a very good deterrent.
It is now a common tactic corporately even if it is unsavory to sensible persons

When PokerStars assets acquired Full Tilt Poker, along with the poker room was purchased and the development of Rush Poker. Recall that Rush Poker was the first poker fastest in the world, based on which further PokerStars and created his own Zoom Poker. Now guide Starz intends to defend quick poker copyright.
In 2010, when Full Tilt released a Rush Poker, this idea seemed super-innovative. Players were able to reside in the thick of things, and the waiting time has been reduced to a minimum. In 2012, the market is flooded rapid variations of poker. Today there has been competition between Zoom Poker (PokerStars), Blaze Poker (Microgaming Network), Speed Holdem (iPoker), Fast Forward (PartyPoker) and InstaDeal (Terminal Poker).

If they haven't bought FTP they wouldn't had any rights to do this. This means they had a plan to buy out FTP when they introduced Zoom or they are just trying to make a monopoly over internet poker.

Don't get me wrong, I'm gratefull that PS bought FTP and returned players money but a monopoly is never a good thing in poker. With so many slight edges nowdays is hard being a pro
