Have never been a fan of those posting forums, the ones where y’all have to make posts to be considered an active member so you can play their hosted tournaments. But as I’m into my second month here at poker.org, I’m finding this forum quite enjoyable so far.

I know this forum requires points to play each of the series tournaments ( 20 points per buy in ) and I’ve been spending the last 4 weeks making and commenting on post in order to acquire a points bankroll for the next scheduled event series, sitting at almost 300 points so far.

With all of my posting lately I’m kinda wondering do others member here try to build up a large points bankroll just before a series starts so that once it begins they can concentrate on the series and have the points to play it, or are you a player who will just post during the week to get the points need to play on the weekend?........

I know what you mean, most of the forums where you have to post to qualify for the games are usually not great quality posts. This is definitely an exception though. Everybody on here is very intelligent, and the threads that people talk about definitely get you thinking.

I cannot see the downs side of building points each and every day. Why not have them in place if and when you need them. Waiting til you need them leads too much to chance. Why scramble the last minute? It is so easy to get them at your leisure.

Well RK, we know you ARE the man! LOL I have been in the position where I needed to post, in order to get the points to register, and I don't like it. So if I can have at least a small balance saved up, I feel more comfortable. :)

Im thinking that earning them as much as possible and storing them so when needed im not scrambling is the way to go. i dont like posting, would rather earn them playing personally, but we will see how it goes.

I am a point builder, but I don't plan it that way, it just happens. I try and login everyday, put my two cents in when I feel it's suitable. I enjoy this site very much, points have come with ease to me.

It would be nice if there were a way to share or trade or give points to those who need them.

On one of my bankrolls I was short of an addon after forgetting I had done a cashout the previous week. Better to earn the points when things are not critical, than trying to jump hoops at the last momento. Saves a ton of headaches, too.

I like to buid some up so i know i wont be short but i am not the type to post to hoard them and def not the type to scramble to get some to enter. I found once you have some saved up you just do your normal forum post when and where u have something to say and do what u like to do here at the forum and th points add up in no time while your doing what u like to do and would do anyways being a member of the forum.

I like to have my account built up and finding it fairly easy to do so. Post, post and post some more. It's one way to get to know some of the members, as well. It doesn't have be all business, you know. The goal is to have enough points to play most or all of the next season, before the next series begins. Sound like a plan?
Another fine 5 pointer there Mr. Pokeryall.

Its always nice to have enough points when you need them.
So I am also trying to build up enough points in time to have enough for at least half of the season when it starts.

I like to have points in my account ... the more the better. I try to visit poker org every day and contribute to the content here. I much prefer to be able to contribute content that people find interesteting to read or to reply to posts that are meaninfull than to have to respond to whatever is posted here because some are looking for points although I have been caught in that situation at times , didt it and didn't like it much. I find it unfortunate that blogs aren'te encouraged more because they take quite a while to write if you want them to be interesting and the reward for writing them is minimal . I prefer to have a stack of points and try to visit the site daily to read the new material that is posted. Love poker org.

Wouldn't that defeat the purpose of making each member be an active participant of the forum them?

Everyone still has to collect them to be able to trade them. Sometimes its hard to be new or if you are away to scramble for points. Its just a way to help out.

I just comment on posts that interest me, it seems that the points take care of themselves and build easily enough. I hope they don't raise the points for any future series we might play, but as we all know, anything is possible.

Was not much into poker forums like yourself POKERYALL . Mainly because i can not seem to get off the poker tables long enough to check them out. I have been a member of railbirds.com since 2008 but only become active last summer. When i was introduced to poker.org i immediately took a liking to it. I like the easy navigability combined with all the valuable information made available by all the great members of this site. The points gained toward freerolls was for sure the reason why i became a member here. Since becoming a member i notice myself becoming more involved with the site everyday. I am sure that my interest in the site would not change for the worse if the freerolls were no longer available. I would like to say thank you to the sites owners and members for what has been a pleasurable experience thus far . Hope to get to know all of you better in the future. Good luck to all of you on and off the felt!!

What's a good point range to be at around this time? Not too sure if one should build up their pont bankroll to the max, what I mean is they may expire. I don't mind if they do, I'll just have to build them back up. It is amazing, some folks have very good things to say. I myself, am not the greatest at communicating or writing a strong article. Especially my poker grammar, not good at all. Let's look for improvement over the time... til then c ya

I'm a procrastinator , if I don't have a clock counting down the time on me , I just won't get it done . But I'm surprising myself by actually building up a few points instead of waiting until the last minute as usual . I have found that there is all kinds of valuable information made available on this site which has made it easier to find blogs to comment on . I hope I can stay ahead of the game & not do my usual and leave it to the last minute . Good luck to all of you gathering your points and on the felt !
