Each country here seems to have its own style of play.

I'm from Canada, in my opinion, Canadians are generally above average poker players who play a tight aggressive game. Although outnumbered 10 to 1 in population by our American neighbors, we seem to overcome those odds in terms winning percentages.

Describe your countries style or that of our opponents country

I swore 100 times to stop playing romanian tournaments. Style of play? Retarded aggressive w/o any logic.

Americans = best. Canadians = 2nd best (I think Canadians are a lot like Americans). Sweden/Finland/UK/Norway = 3rd. If you want a good laugh, check this out: http://www.betyeh.com/ poker-players-by-country/.

Players from Balkans are generally very good. Main reason I think is because of low life standard in Balkans countries so less money for poker means better players on lower buy ins. I really try to avoid playing against players from Balkans. In other hand, I love to play against Span and Russian player. Maniac donks.

Its strange, but i have always thought Romanian players to be the toughest opponents at the table, whereas my american counterparts to be more calculating. Canadians however can be a very sneaky skilled bunch as well. It really all depends on experience really and how that particular person is willing to play and mix up their own game, regardless of country, but the are some overall similarities between a large group of each countries people

There are great poker players to me from all over the globe so I'm not going to single out one country and say who has the best and no matter what nationality players are they all have their style which keeps the game interesting.

I kind of lump Canada in with the US. I think we're pretty much the same people, Canada just likes hockey I think with such a wide variety of players in this much area, I can't pin it down to one style. However, I think that middle age to older players play tight aggressive, and the good ones have transitioned to looser play. Younger players are adopting the LAG strategy, and are much more willing to take risks.

Not only is the country that defines the player. There are many styles I believe in all countries. I agree that is visible and marked the maniacs of all in with his country, but then to generalize to all players that place is too radical
It is not easy when the guy on your side just "going all-in", but patience he will be eliminated soon, just wait

I find that a Cypriot will most often be a blind luck player. they cannot wait to get all the chips in the middle and the cards they are holding appear to have no bearing whatsoever upon that compunction

When it comes to internet poker, you will find a lot of different styles of play. does not matter what country they are from, you will find a lot of great players. Most of the times the best players make it to the final table. If they make it through all the donkeys.
