I always write every thing down... everything.
thats the only way you will know exactly where you stand, winner or loser, and by how much. i dont play cash so i cant comment on that.
i have always attempted to keep 100 buyins for the level im playing.

I track my swings and stay within 100-200 buyins as an MTT player. Very few swings, I'm a bankroll nit -- Haven't gone broke yet!

Chris Fergusson BR management? God, look what he did to FoolTilt... (just joking)
If you do have time to research for his challenge, then you'll see funny things there, the first is that the income graph is twisted time-wise.

My biggest problem in online poker has been lack of bankroll management i do buyins for tourneys which i dont even put in my full effort or bet too much on cash tables sometimes and do buyins without thinking. Now iv made a conscious effort to do proper bankroll management. Not sure about Chrus Fergusson method but simple thing would be to play cash only up to the point ur balance reaches a certain fixed amount u have set for urself which should be higher than the deposit u have made on that poker client.

I'm beginning to think seriously about bankroll building, now has come the time when I can spend a lot of time playing poker. I play MTT and likes to play omaha 10/20 c. Very difficult to determine the line - number of tournaments to play in the day and how many hours spend at the cash tables - to not stay 0 bakroll.

I think the main thing in poker is good bankroll management. Just adjust a lot of rules to yourself, nad you can play profitable and remove possibility of broke.

100 buyins for mtt/sng and 50 for cash sounds about right.
It's hard to go broke if you respect this.

His bankroll management works for me even if he is a fulltilt scumbag

I agree with watermelons. Despite whatever he may have done with Full Tilt, his bankroll management is spot on. He has a degree in computer science and his parents teach game theory, so I think he knows a little about how the math of it works.

Well I am very carefully with my BR and try to stick to 50 BuyIns for cash games and about 80 - 100 buy ins for SNG.

Bankroll management is more important than how skilled you are. I remember last summer I turned $100 into $2,000 in about 3 weeks. However because I had always been playing basically with most all of my bankroll in only took one bad hand for me to lose it all. I don't agree with what most people say about bankroll management though and how low of stakes they want you to play with your bankroll. There is a point where you probably shouldn't be playing the stakes you are at but what is most important is that you aren't playing with scared money. If you playing scared your going to be easy to push around and you won't be able to take the chances/risks you probably should. Thats just how I see it though.

Bankroll management is very very important what good does it do any1 to win if they cant hold onto it? self discipline

Self discipline is most definitely the hardest aspect of proper bankroll management. The primary problem I have with proper brm is that with such a small roll <$20, the X amount of buy in's strategy is kind of thrown out the window since there are only so many types of low buy ins you can play.
