Depends on your specialty. If you're good at SnG, I suggest you go to any site supporting a double-up deal. Say it's a 6 player SnG, then the top 3 finishers get a double-up. Far easier than regular SnG:s and actually an incredibly easy way of making fast cash. At least at the lower stakes.

Hi! I agree with ioi, the so called double-or-nothings are a good deal.
Make sure you read some post about how ICM affects your strategy in those, and remember: all you can hope for is a 55-60% winrate or so... you dont have to win every time. I used to play those and every time I made a push with something like T9s and got called I thought I made a mistake :)
You have to actually know the math of when pushing and when folding and trying to 'survive'

Hey thanks ioi and ronnald, i do well in cash games but the bad beats are killing me right now. never really thought about double ups, i also do very well at the 9 or 10 man sit & go's. but to start i think the double ups would be my best bet.

Personally, I would stay away from 9p and 10p tables. The problem is that, in a sit'n'go format, the blinds go to much higher levels once you get close to the bubble. At least if you compare it to a 6p table.

Sure, you get to play more solid hands in the beginning, but so do the others. I think outliving 4 people in a 6p is easier than outliving 7 in a 10p.

I prefer six-person sit-n-gos, too. I also play only six-person cash games. I find them much easier to win. There are fewer people to beat, easier to keep up with each player's style, and more action in the cash game. I like the double or nothing SnG's, too. I'm currently playing at PokerStars and they don't offer them, wish they did, I found them easy.

I also find heads up tournaments profitable. For me, it is similar to playing a double-or-nothing sit-n-go. I do ok on these without ever having studied the specialty.

PokerStars does actually offer Double or Nothing SNGs. You find them under the "Sit and Go" tab in the PokerStars client.

Some really good advice here. one small adjsutment id make:

$0-$1: 10ct Giveaways
$1-$2: Level 1 Beginner SnG or lower stakes
$2-$6,50: Level 2 Beginner SnG or lower stakes
$6,50-$12: $0,50 SnG or lower stakes
$12-$30: $1 SnG or lower stakes
$30-$100: $3 SnG/MTT or lower stakes
$100-$250: $5 SnG/MTT or lower stakes
$250-$500: $10 SnG/MTT or lower stakes
$500-$750: $15 SnG/MTT or lower stakes
$750-$1000: $20 SnG/MTT or lower stakes

id recommend your mtt buyins are 1/2 as big as your stt buyins due to the nature of the games, i.e. if you're playing $10sngs, paly up to $5 mtts
