Do you always set a limit and stick to it?

Jus curious when playn at cash tables, tourney's whether it be live or online, do you set a maximum limit that you wont spend over. It's inevitable that nobody wins every single time as we have all lost some. Curious as to any kind of limit strategies some set, if any, or are one of the some that have a hard time applying self control and let someone at the table get the better of them and ultimately end up quite a bit worse than you had intended on being the bottom line of that table for you.
