A break from poker is always good when stress or upset starts to interfere with your game. I've just recently returned from a 4 month absence and feel somewhat refreshed. I've also had some success already in some small buyin games, cashing about 50%.

Take it easy for a while and everything should fall back into place when you return! Hope all will be ok with you in a few days!

A good mental state is very important for a poker player. Need a little rest, aside from poker. And then you can come with new forces into battle

Sorry to hear you've had some bad news lately. Hopefully things start going better for you soon. And taking a break when your head isn't in the game is a very good idea. I hope the cards are better to you this weekend.

Yeah, i recently took about 1 - 2 weeks break from poker as things just werent looking good on the tables and i was busy in RL.. back now and im fine. Taking a break from poker when your playing badly or even just stressed for even just a few hours always helps.. Good Luck.

You are suffering from Poker Fatigue. It seems there are times when we just wonder what the heck we're doing when playing this game. A break will probaly do you some good . I suggest that you also pick up one of your favorite poker books and do some reading. That workds for me and it reminds me of the the things I'm doing wrong. God luck .

Thats a good choice. When you feel your game is poor just stop playing for a while. I have one trick that you can use. When I start to play bad I find some good poker videos out there. It helps me keep focus and keep being serious.

Yeah, like when getting busted with AA vs 27... rofl. No quicker way to get fatigued. Just happened in a $40+4 on Bovada. Idiot tried to steal blind vs blind and flops the damned boat. So nasty but that's how it goes sometimes.

I think I'm just gonna wrap myself up in some Starcraft 2 for a while... lol.

Sorry to hear of your bad news. Know how you feel. The break always works for me. I have taking many breaks and always come back doing better. When i have a streak of bad luck and start to make angry bingo choices. I know its break time. When im back im less angry, more patient, and ready to play for hours if needed. Good luck on the felts buddy.

Sorry to hear this it sucks when your game not going well and the worse part is you actually continuously lose the more you try to recovery iv actually started to totally stop playing after losing 2 double up sngs in a day and try again next day its worked better for me i recommend this for you whatever is your game in which u make a decent buyin dont play more than two of those in a day if u lose,if u win keep playing till u lose 1 or maximum two of them then just play freerolls if any or small stake games if u still wana play that is

Sorry to hear of your bad news but in my opinion breaks of more than a few sessions do not help much. You expect to return to playing again and all of the run bad will be gone, but when you actually find out is some of the problem is in how you have been playing.

I find that instead of a break of more than a session or two, I like to read a poker book, replay older hands, look for leaks in my game , this will help if it is actually something I can change in my game. of if it is actually run bad problem.

Sorry to hear things have not gone well in your personal life lately. From time to time I like to take a step back as well, which i have been doing a bit myself lately. It has not helped my poker game much but it is helping me not feel so sick of the same old same old all the time which when u play alot of poker, like i use to it can get to you at times. Sometimes its hard to deal with the disappointments. I play for the love of the game and when things are not going well emotionally how can we expect the game to go well if our minds are elsewhere. Good luck and I hope things change for you soon.

As BuzzDryver and other people said, take a break from poker. It will refresh yourself and make you lose and forget all those stress or troublesome feelings that you have. Hope you feel better soon and win some money in poker. Good Luck donkinbuck and see you in the tables.

Clear your head and come back stronger. Hopefully you'll have a good game but don't let it beat you back down if the cards don't come your way. Good luck!
