Poker Maximus Goal

I am making a goal for myself to earn 100$ before the Poker Maximus series starts from only playing freerolls. I have been winning pretty often in freerolls but end up losing it playing cash games or tournaments. This time I am going to wait untill I win 10$ to start playing real money games. My plan is to try to satellite into the 15k tournaments on Sundays by playing the 1$ satellites. Are their any suggestions on other low buy in tournaments that I could play in?

There are several 33 cent games, the Micro Hero PLO $30 Guarantee, Micro Hero NL $30 Guarantee, and the Micro Hero HORSE $30 guarantee.
If you keep playing real money games, you also win coupons for free tourneys for each level from like level 5 to 99.
There is a daily MTT Hero $99 Daily pays top 9 players $11 which gets you the amount you are looking for. Usually about 175 players. I usually can money once every three weeks, sometimes 3 times in a lucky week.
There is a Triumvirate $100 Hero Daily tourney that pays $50, $20, $10, but only 3 winners and everyone else goes home empty.
Good luck on building your bankroll. I have over $500, so requested $100 to be paid to me today, so I do not use it all on the felt.

Thanks for the support everyone. I will probably download hero poker because it seems like they have a lot of good low buy in tournaments. I cashed for 1$ in an Americas Cardroom freeroll last night. Only 99$ more to go!

Yep plan sounds great and the satellites are the way to go. The Hero advice was really good take it and run with it and once you build a lil more br check out the $1 $33 satty move up make it a $2 game u get kicked out b4 the addon play the next one, dont get cought up in the rebuy trap and keed rebuying it can become a trap same gos for the $$60 and the $109 tickets good luck!

Sometimes I'm just tempted to deposit on sites instead of trying to grind the micro stakes as it doesnt really seem worth it but good luck on that and I hope you keep the determination I always seem to lose

I agree with you but their are very few options to deposit for American players. I was able to deposit 50$ on Americas Cardroom a few months ago. I ended up running it up to 210$ and tryed to cash out 100$ and had problems with their support by the time everything was cleared up I was broke.

Hey best of luck! I found playing limit micro stakes when you are with a nano bankroll helps. I'm doing the same thing on carbon poker. I hit- got broke, hit- got broke, hit- got broke, decided to take it as dedicated as I could. It is easy to fall victom of bad play because it surrounds you at micro stakes with a few players that are actually quiet good. Then they get your lazy play money and you start over. I hit a second place finish in a freeroll just over a week ago got $9.00 and played the smallest stakes I could find. I had a good day the other day so to fill my tourney demon I played the Quater quicky finished final table and got anthoer $6. On a roll now and finished 4th in 1k gaur. rebuy yesterday and hit $94.00. I'm near $135.00 now and feeling a little less pressured. I still am going to stick to %5 max of roll while building. Now I just actually have enough to cover it! My main point is though let your cash game earnings dictate your tourney play. Win $5 play a $1 or less tourney and take a guarenteed $4 profit to bed with you!

Thanks for your help. I think if I do what you did I will have a better chance of building a bankroll.

Its always a great idea to set goals for yourself in poker. Striving for something makes you focus on it and when ur focused you do a lot better!

As Lep says , it is always a great idea to set goals for yourself in poker and in life . You really do become more focused and if you want to accomplish your goals , you have to find a way to get there . If you start small and keep building on that , you give yourself a real chance to accomplish reaching your goals . I have a friend of mine who is playing in the WSOP and has set his goal to cash in a tournament but hasn't cashed yet but he has come very close ! I believe that if you don't set high goals for yourself , you will always wonder, what if . Hoping all the best for you , unless your against me of course ,lol .

For God's sake we all forgot to mention the Captin obvious here! You had damn well better be playing in the winter league tourney's Sat and Sun. One of the highest percentage player/payout tourney's around. 20 spots for field of 120-140........ Get your Winter on credsfan!

I just final tabled a freeroll on Carbon Poker. Top ten got paid and I finished in tenth for .70. I would have much rather have won the 10.50 that first gets but my top pair got cracked by a straight. Hopefully I can add to my bankroll this weekend in the Winter Series.

Good luck in your goal! I agree its a lot better mentally when you have something to work towards going up instead of just playing trying not to go down to zero... Think positive!
