This question stayed in my mind, and it was somehow put out as thread as another poped up in the forum, regarding hit and run. I always left a table after I busted twice (I'm in for the half of maximum buy-in at a time, 50BB) or I doubled myself. Failing to do so meaning I'm tilting .
But there's always someone at the table that has more than twice the maximum buy-in, even 3 times that, meaning they're not there to hit'n'run, no way near that, they're there to win, and winning does not scare them (to leave the table).
So, when do you think it's time to leave the table (both in winning and losing) ?

I f you doubled up your buy in, its a good time to leave and save these earnings.
When you lost 1/3 of your buy in you can also consider to leave, but depending on the table. If you just had bad luck, but opponents are soft, then you can try to win money back. But try to keep tight playing and not go on tilt because of the lost money.

When you feel like merge or whatever software you're on has enough of you winning and it's time for your downswing. Then you close the program, uninstall the software, and come back in one week hoping the software forgot it's time for your downswing and you can try a normal grind again ;). Let me know how it works for you.
