Has anyone out there ever attended the Little League World Series in Williamsport, Pa.? I have been to the Western Regionals in San Bernardino many, many times, and have put the LLWS down as one of my bucket lists, but living in californai, makes this one tough. If you have been to a regional and the world series, could you please give some feedback on how the two compare. As a little leaguer when i was 12 i actually got the chance to play on the western regional field as a player ( not in all stars ) but the league i played for actually rented it for the weekend. ONe of the greatest weekends of my life!!!!! Looking for to some feedback, OH by the way LETS GO WEST NORTHERN CALIFORNIA ALL THE WAY!

The Team from Glace Bay the Coronols have been down there numerous times,they were beat by a very strong team from BC this year in fact just last week so that will be the team Canada sends,when my Dad came to visit me a few years back they had the championship here,but him being a hardball player and coach thought the games were somehat easy as there is no stealing etc. he wasnt inpressed as his Tyke team back in `69 won the OBA all Ontario Baseball Assoc. at that time,but I do enjoy watching the games from Williamsport when they are on TV.

Always fun to watch the LLWS. I wrote a paper a couple years ago though about how the LLWS is compared to professional sports...constant ESPN coverage, super slo-mo instant replay breaking down every move/mistake the kids make. A lot of pressure on these 10/11 year old kids...

In response to PoTaHolic, it has been a bucket for me, ( Attending Williamsport ) for 2 decades . When i was 12 i played at Western Regionals ( regular season game, not in the All-stars) i even hit a home run there, never forget that weekend for the rest of my life. I am not sure where you are from but even attending a Regional Semi, or Final is an unbelievable experience. and it is free to attend, i dont even think they charge to park either!

I definitely think Tennessee was legit, just as Northern California was legit, but have to admit that the Japan team , may have been one for the ages, their cleanup hitter hit 64 homeruns just this year, and they said he hit over 130 in the last 3 yrs., i dont know what the leagues around your area are but my little league has hit just 22 homeruns in the LAST 2 YEARS TOTAL. so that kid alone is unbelievable!
