If anyone is following this Redbull Stratos thing it's going tobe sick tomorrow.

Supersonic speed in freefall record is expected.
New record: Mach 1/ 690 miles per hour (1,110 km/h) (expected minimum)

Previous record: Mach 0.9/614 miles per hour (988 km/h) by Joseph Kittinger in 1960

http://www.redbullstratos.com/

Who thinks he'll pass 700 MPH?

Wow that sounds crazy. I cant believe that the record has not been broken for over 50 years considering all of the dare devils we have in todays society.

And to what point? All the money put into this stupid shit could have been used on more useful things. It's just ridiculous.

That's my 2 cents

So right Mich !!!! So so right. This world throws away money on dumb stuff and selfish stuff. Very crazy or brave and fun if you can handle free falling. I cant. What a sight to be on the edge of space but at some1 elses expense. Red bull wrote it off or got funded from god knows who. Never would they waste there business profit to throw away on a jump. Advertising and sponsorship pitch in for sure. The cost ?? 1 Mill or more. At least. There are starving poker players who want a BR and a trip to WSOP. J/K I think he will break 700mph.

Well i watch this thing live on the interweb. Ive got to say it was the most interesting thing i have witness for a long time. After he did it i went outside for a smoke and just stared up to the night sky. It was a clear night and all i could think of was what a brave and crazy fella he was. i bet the rush he had jumping like that for 4.16 mins was amazing. i know when we fall some distance like on a roller coaster my stomach feels like it coming out of my mouth but this fella must have have that feeling for the time in the air .
10/10 when it comes to things you witness in a lifetime.

Ridiculous or not, scientists now have much more data thanks to Felix Baumgartner. And to me it's more ridiculous and especially absurd that governments spend billions on ammunition and on improving weapons.

Stop it !!!! No more drama... We have other drama to talk about. Sure we got a spaceship and we will never see it, like the stealth bomber when its first came out. Came out cause the got better stuff for them and for us to wonder about. My dad and I know a air traffic control man for the U.S and he has many stories. He is retired but there were things on the radar that were not theres and doing things we cant. Then again, its top secret so thats means no 1 knows. Only very select few. Even the things i have worked on for military we never got the full blueprint too. Different companies making several different pieces and then all being shipped to the assemblers to complete but stays top secret, we knew what we were building but did not have the blueprints to complete it. Still I agree, waste of money to play war. What we have is good enough, just drop a bomb and forget about new stuff. There was talk of a space station and that would be a good idea. Cause were killing this planet and where we gonna go? Sure if its built we arent going unless you got boo kooo dollars. Quit taking are tax dollar and wasting it thats what I say. Of course this is as far as that goes. Dont get me wrong this is cool but we pay for it. If some1 payed for me to play on sunday for $15,000, that would be killer right. I didnt pay.

If you can live under the sea in 'Red October' for 3yrs I think some spacemen can live for 20yrs with the right equipment and spaceship. Worse come to worse they can jet back to planet earth and parachute in.

We're getting there.
