Seems like 7 card stud poker is not as popular as it was 10 years ago. I remember walking in a casino and see several stud games here at Harrahs New Orleans. Now there is none. Most games are 1/2 NL with some limit and omaha games.

I don't like the hold'em style of stud. When I used to play it, I kind of played it like 5-card draw, only 7 cards, but I guess that was just me That's the type I like, not the hold'em type.

What? There's no such thing as holdem type stud. And I think it sucks too, knight, you can't find stud anywhere. NLHE is the only game now, and some times it just seems like watching paint dry.

I remember that my dad only played 7 stud or 5-card draw, a few years ago when we were playing he didn't knew it what was omaha and only knew the basic rules of holdem. Time is changing.

Game I learned poker with but much prefer NLHE and limit. Do play friendly games now and then nickle / dime stuff with friends.

I think 7 card is better than 5 card draw, but 2-7 is a really fun game with a lot of strategy
