Looks like to me the number of people etc are dropping on carbon probably why.

Hello, pokerscout shows that number of players from july througt september fell by 500 players.
It's difficult and hard time for the people and for the pokers sites too.
I think that is the explanation for this

They may be losing players but its possibly due to the fact that the software sucks. 2 outers hittin like crazy suck out suck out suck out. players may be taking a break or playing somewhere else to change things up

You say the software sucks because "outers are hitting". Wouldn't that only make it suck for the person who is getting sucked out on? It is not like Carbonpoker is cheating you out of money...it is not like Carbonpoker makes money when you lose...some people are rediculous...it just sounds stupid when they say the software cheats them, because Carbonpoker makes money whether you win OR lose...it is in their best interest to have fair software.

That's unfortunate. This seems to be the best site/network for US players. I feel like if US players are leaving this network, they aren't switching to other rooms, they are dropping out. Just my opinion.

They gotta start letting us onto the bigger sites!

I do agree that overlay may have something to do with the guarantee's reducing. This is something all rooms monitor and poker sites make adjustments based on volume. All other references and speculation here is not really needed.

Also, the promo's they just ran like poker maximus and last man standing will impact on drawing in more prize money and players to the site while they might also see a reduction in regular tourney's played.

I don't know about you but after 3-4hrs of tourney play I'm burnt out.

I wish I could say it effected me but im just a donator, Nah that does suck what I find confusing the time of day can change the buy in.

Like afternoon games seem higher buy ins for the same payout of games that are cheaper at night

Even the sattys, The afternoon $1bi is GTD for 6 tickets ($11) whereas the night sattys for the same price gtd 10 tickets

Its the global economy ---itll get worse in the next 6 months--its happened before-they call it seasonal adjustments lol

The same reason why the freeroll in our league games went from $500 to $300 to $150.

The same reason why our gas prices quadrupled in recent months and years.

I've noticed this as well. You need to catch these tournaments just before they drop the guarantee down so you can take advantage of the overlay. You don't often see an overlay in these, but sometimes you can get lucky.

Now the $200 free rolls are $ 50...

It seems to me, they are cutting cost, they have dwindling traffics, and have toss alot of free stuff into the mix.
If the GTY were not being met, I can see em tightening up.

I have almost stopped betting at Carbon because my favorite site is returning.Carbon was always a temporary fix for me.
As a side issue, my physical fitness has improved because I exercise during the time I put aside for poker.

I HAVE SPENT SOME TIME READING SVERAL OF THESE FORUM TOPICS AND THERE IS A LOT OF GOOD ADVICE OUT THERE BUT WHEN I SEE PEOPLE SAYING THEY PERSONALLY ARE GETTING CHEATED BY CERTIAN SOFTWARE SITES(POKER ROOMS) IT MAKES ME LAUGH. LIKE ONE GUY SAID, THEY MAKE MONEY WETHER YOU WIN OR LOSE. I HAVE WITNESSED A LOT OF CRAZY STUFF AT BOTH LIVE AND ONLINE TABLES SO YOU CAN NEVER REALLY KNOW WHAT TO EXPECT. ITS POKER. AS PAINFUL AS IT CAN BE TO THE POCKET BOOK SOMETIMES IT IS WHAT I LOVE ABOUT THE GAME.

Yea I think all the guaratee games have droped the $11 23:00 use to be $6k gt its $3.5 now, free rolls are $50 now, the Sunday $11 use to be $20k its now $15k. Times are tuff, I think its cool they are gtn something though haha. Keep grinden and gl!

FTP is now in the looming balance and the NOV. 9 and a fresh new batch of college freshman not yet cut off by thier parents before thanksgiving will all help in the long run. Competitive to the economy and it's audience will be driving the wind in sites sails. An election year in the US will change wind speeds to. No worries, It's still poker everytime you sit down ; )

I played a $300 GTY today, and buyins were short by 40 bucks. So if they have cut back, look for it to continue.
