I love the challenge, poker is a thinking persons game like chess. it is a very complex game, some people think that if you just wait on good cards you will be a winner. there are many aspects of the game and different courses of stratagy that must be applied and changed frequently throughout a tournament. and when it all comes together and you win, the feeling you get is one of great accomplishment. thats what i love about poker. oh yeah, GO GIANTS!!!

I love to make the final table in a tourney, especially live! i like playing against great players. i feel more at home there than anywhere. wish i could win one or 2 to keep on playing more.

I used to love poker, when it actually took skill to play the game....lately it seems like the online variation has taken a turn for the worst...Shoving all in with 4-9 K-2 and other crazy hands is not poker, its like playing a video game nowadays.

I still love the live game....you know, the one where the best hand actually holds up 90% of the time? the where you cant get away with hiding behind a keyboard and screen and clicking a button?

Maybe the online world would be better if they made you video chat while you played...I bet less people would play reckless ifthey couldnt hide their faces!

I love playing poker its a great past time for someone in my condition, i spends hours everyday online except when i go to the casino

Playing poker is a great sport its a lot like life competition and decision making when im playing poker i believe it open up your brain or a part of it that makes you make a quicker decision then you might make in a normal life's day

For me, playing poker helped knowing me better. And that is, by far, the most and best result of playing poker since, not any tournament win of any kind, not any cash win for the stakes I play, because poker is, in small, just a reflection of the big picture of life.

I luv poker because it passes my time specially at work when there is no work its the best thing to do and i play only freerolls as of now so tho the cash is not much its ok im atleast passing my time rather than watching something on youtube i jus realise i have not seen somethin on youtube since ages.

All greetings! Having read your responses I can draw a conclusion (the truth many will disagree) all of us play not only for pleasure who to stir a brain, but the main thing for dialogue and let this dialogue sometimes silent, but it all the same dialogue.

To tell you the truth.. i don't know for sure , it could be because i like learning new things, or maybe i like to get into some groups to talk and meet new people, to win some money, to train my nerves.. to tell you the truth i don't know.
But i can tell you it's the best game i ever played

because I love playing poker and relax, are upset or angry poker game, forget everything and I come back to me is a therapy

I enjoy the competition.
I like that you can learn the game in minutes but it can take a lifetime to master it.
It's also a great escape.... especially if you rungood in a tournament & find yourself on the final table.

I do play Poker like I do in Chess, reading the pot odds, your opponents and everything else you can do at the table.
Poker always keeping me entertaiment but it would be great if I could even success a positive wins all the time.

dont we all want to be in the positive all the time ? :-) but of course in poker there will certainly be winners and losers, sites like pokerstars rake in millions of dollars in rake so they will always be on the winning side, except for the fines that pokerstars were charged in the usa market which was a lot of money, so those are the liabilities, but ya strong pokersites rake in a lot of cash

I like working with numbers. thinking about each hand as a percentage and if it makes sense to call or not. then the feeling after winning a huge mtt, that cant be beat.

I love to play poker because it relaxes me after a long day. I play for fun since I've never won a tournament other a few fun steps in carbon poker. But I would like to get good enough to win some money in the future.
