Low rakeback percentage
Massive rakeback deductions
Industry-leading software
One of the largest rooms
Full Tilt Poker rakeback is popular due to the fact that it is the biggest independent poker room with rake back open to US players and because they have great software.
The downside is that the Full Tilt rakeback percentage is not especially high at just 27% and there are a lot of deductions from the rake (and tournament fees) before the actual rake back is calculated. In the end you will get closer to 20% actual rakeback, and even less so if you are not a winning player since deposit fees are deducted (the more often you have to deposit because you've lost your money, the less rakeback you will get).
This means that you shouldn't be surprised if you do not get any rakeback payment at all some weeks or if your rakeback even shows up as being minus,
especially if you make use of Full Tilt's Frequent Player Points.
You should only pick Full Tilt Poker because it is the room you really want to play at, with rakeback being your secondary reason for choosing it. If rakeback or "getting paid to play" is your main concern, then there are better rooms and
poker rewards to choose from.
Value
27% rakeback, but ends up being closer to 20% due to all deductions.
Stats Updates
The stats are updated daily. Sometimes Full Tilt Poker fail to provide an update for one or more days, in which case the missing rakeback will be included in the next update.
Calculation Method
Full Tilt Poker uses the contributed calculation method, which means that the rake is calculated according to each player's percentile contribution to the pot.
Tournaments
Tournament entry fees are included in the rake.
Payment Day
The rakeback is paid each week on Friday for the previous Tuesday to Monday period.
Payment Method
The rakeback is paid directly to your Full Tilt Poker player account. To see the payments go to Cashier, History, Past Transactions in the Full Tilt Poker software.
Payment Minimum
There is no minimum rakeback payment amount.
Bonuses
Bonuses are deducted from the rake. Full Tilt Poker also deducts basically everything
promotion related which costs them money from the rake before calculating the actual rakeback. For example using FPP points will make your rakeback lower.
Deposit Fees
Deposit fees are deducted from the rake.

Why didn't I get any rakeback payment on this Friday?
As you can see on the Full Tilt Poker rakeback page they deduct a lot of costs from the rake before calculating the actual rakeback. This means that it is possible to have zero or even negative rakeback for any week or weeks.
Any negative numbers are carried over to the next week after week for as long as it takes for you to "pay it back" in rake.
Why was my rakeback payment too small this week (or month)?
The Full Tilt Poker rakeback stats in your rewards overview show the total for each calendar month, but the actual payments are made each Friday for the previous Tuesday to Monday period.
This means that you can not look at your monthly numbers and compare them to your weekly payments since they will never ever be the same.
All rakeback payments are handled by Full Tilt Poker themselves automatically, and they never make any mistakes, so your rakeback payments are always correct.
Whatever your poker software such as PokerTracker tells you that you "should get" in rakeback is totally irrelevant since Full Tilt Poker deducts bonuses, promotions, deposit fees etc. from the rake before calculating your rakeback payments.
