I love LOCK, I really love all the sites I have ever played on. I love the fact you have to learn to adjust your play for all the different styles of play on every site. No2 have been the same and playing multiple sites helps me to become a well rounded player...and if you pay attention to the styles that tend to group on each site you can make bank and be a profitable player. I have heard many complain about Lock and I laugh at those players. it means they are the types that don't know how to adjust their play nor do they have the knowledge of the game to pat their back on their loss when they got the call they wanted even if the result kicks them in the ass and puts them on the rail. #1 don't play out of bank roll , Play micros until you can determine your win rate and even if you feel like you are the best player on the site .... never be to big in the britches to go back down to the lower levels until you get your roll back up. Always get your money in right and stop worrying about how many times you get sucked out on , on a particular site.... be proud you got that call win or lose...keep getting it in good and you will be a winning player in the end. #2 Never try and push fish off ... don't give odds for them to get in too cheap not only for hand protection but for value purposes but don't get mad that they don't fold...be happy! That's what you want! lol #3 if you ever catch yourself saying this site always yadda yadda yadda ...then you have now become a rigtard and need to take a break and study up before coming back. #4 Have fun! :) Come experience the private Lock games with me and my Railbird family and my clan the Angel's ...they will donk it up at times but they are tough as hell and so much fun to play with. rrrrrrriiiiiiiiiiipppppppp Good luck on the felts. P.S. I don't spell well and I never preproofread so it is what it is .... and if I said something stupid well that's me... the Angel of Perfection at your service! :) Muah!

The MTT tourneys on this site are by far the easiest to win on any online poker site. There are a few problems with the site though. Their mac client looks and operates like a program from windows 95 and has a few glitches. They have also had some recent cashout problems. I cashed out recently in January and received my money almost 4 months later. It causes a lot of frustrations not seeing your money as fast but if you have the patience, I'd recommend this room.

The site isnt horrible if you have a half way decent pc with a fair bit of ram due to its wonderful resource hogging. Overall the graphics are simple and straight forward with enough options to change the look and feel of tables. The lobby is a little off but still easy enough to get sorted and find your way to tables and tournies.

As for the play, probably a few too many crazy russians but the couple days a month they are hitting doesnt disrupt the many that they arent. The notes section and color coding keep things simple too which is nice as you dont have to do pop-ups or anything as its all within the chat box section. The tournament selection is ok, not great but still alright.

Promotions are constant and deposit/reload bonuses are great if you know the codes and plenty of time to clear them without trying to hustle ass to get it done. All deposit bonuses actually work off a dealt method not raked so again, clearing them is just easy. They still offer p2p transfers as well.

Now the downside is the withdraw situation currently and only time will tell if that will get worked out to be more user friendly. The customer service is actually quite quick and effective I have found in the few instances I have used it, so long as you use the .eu email and not the .com link from their website.

The casino is great. You can find just about any game you want to play. Some games have random jackpots which you can win by just betting 20 cents.

Lock isn't too bad visually if you have the power and memory on your pc to play it. I have seen many bad experiences with tourneys cancelled and cash outs delayed. One of the good things I do know of is that it still has p2p. Seems to be a shortage of that nowadays. Again I don't know how good that is when people are struggling to get their money off of it.

As a former multi-table grinder on Full Tilt Poker and Pokerstars on occasion, Lock is probably my 2nd pick as far as terms of quality for online rooms still available to US players. I haven't personally had to use their check cashout option as of yet, but I have used Western Union quite a few times, and they were quicker than most in terms of getting my funds to me. I've noticed some players say they get "blacklisted" after making cashouts, but I've never even remotely had this problem on Lock...

They have a decent selection for tournaments, but I think they could offer more in terms of events for late evening US players. The cash games are good for anything from micros, and in most cases, roughly $1/2 - $2/4 always has a full ring going at all hours.

All in all, 4/5 stars for me. I would consider a five star rating IF they had better software stability than they have as of late. Hopefully they get this fixed in the near future.

This is blatant spam. Straight up post just to get points. There are are numerous threads on another very reputable forum that says that U.S. and ROW players are expecting MUCH longer wait times to receive cashouts, whether it be via check, WU, Net teller, Moneybookers, you name it, it is taking a long time to get paid! Way longer than advertised. Players that try cashing out via Western Union, are being "blacklisted" (has happened to multiple players) and are then having to request for a check after waiting almost a month and a half to recieve a WU, only to be told you can't. Then the wait process starts again... This time for a check. Players are resorting to selling funds for $.65-$.71 on the dollar just to get funds off in a timely manner....... So please save it when you say " and easy to deposit and receive checks. Hadn't had a problem yet and they deliver the checks on time. " Thanks.

I have not made a deposit as of yet, rahter hard to put cash on any poker network living where I do, however the cash prize won in the previous weeekend series will most likely be moved to this poker client since a carbon transfer is no longer an option and they have replaced carbon with lock poker as an option to withdraw to in the "My Rewards Balance" section.

I will say one thing that really mpressed me about the new lock poker, when reactivating my old account, I had several issues and had to contact thier support, and we all know what a nightmare support form any poker room can be. Teh folks ay lock poker support answered all 7 of my emails very very quickly. IMO Lock's unreliable cashouts have ruined their image. A lot of people that cashed out in november never received funds due to a technical error that has yet to be corrected. Lock money is selling at its lowest rate ever on the dollar. The only plus is that you can still do p2p transfer, which you can't do on merge. The software itself is just ok. They copied a lot from merge, and havent really deviated away or made themselves unique. They do have a lot of pros, so if you like "playing with the pros" then that is a plus. Overall this site is only an OK option.

I play the majority of my real money games on Lock Poker. Of the three networks left available to US players that I have played on, I prefer Lock/Revolution. Tournament selection is much the same as the other networks, with mostly r/a or turbos at the lower stakes, and the play is mostly soft. They do have a $100K GTD game on Sundays, usually with a few $500 pro bounties on the line. This is a $109 game, but they have a 100-seat freeroll satellite on Saturdays, so you can get yourself in that way.

You will see me most every night in the $2 bounty game at 7:50 pm pacific time, and often in the $1 and $2 deepstack turbo GTD Games

P2P transfers are available, but I have yet to attempt a regular cashout. It sounds like Western Union is the way to go but you will pay a premium.

There are a couple of games in the private section I frequent with a regular crowd, and those games are growing. I hope to get some more added in the near future.

Lock is probably one of the better sites left to play on,for u.s. players.they have about the same promotions as other sites, with a few more that other sites dont have.they could use a few more table lay-out options tho.and the lobby takes some getting used to.other than that its a good site to play on.

I really can't make to much of a review for this site because i never played there very much. i do know that for a while you could deposit money with a master card or visa, i think it is only visa now or maybe they don't take either. i don't remember. the few times i played i have no complaints. good amount of traffic.boy it has been so long since i have even loaded up there software i can't even remember my screen name. i dont remember any rewards like new player freerolls. look at it this way, they take US players and are still around doing business and going strong so they are doing something right. give em a try.

I honestly have never played at lock and have heard good and bad as far as depositing & cashing out are concerned, so I have just not ever looked into it! TBH the hassles of being a US player truly stink IMO & so much for our rights to do with our own $$ that we pay taxes on.....truly a sad situation & one that I hope is changed & soon!

This site is good. but their deposit and payout i think can be better..i say all sites should have option western union also as option..better for players to have broad payout options..but over all the site is great.

In May, Lock Poker left the Merge Gaming Network and acquired the Cake Poker Network along with its flagship site. Lock then re-branded the Cake Poker Network to the Revolution Poker Network, keeping the Cake software in place. I still play on the site since I have a bankroll there and have many friends that still play on the site as well.

Big fan, they have great micro/low level tournament selection. The fields arent outrageous either, if they cover the guaranteed money it isnt by much. My favorite ones are the $3 and $5 rebuys. Only complaint is that to my knowledge (last time I played was a few months back) there were no hand histories for tournaments which made taking notes basically impossible. I also really like their interface, reminds me of Pokerstars.

Lock was one of the sites I played on the most after Black Friday, did very well there even earning myself a ribbon and winnings from a freeroll. Once they switched over to Revolution though, I did not care for it at all. It was hard for me to find good games (competition) and did not like the software at all. I would recommend the casino though, in particular the slots. LOL The kids and I blew my BR playing there but had such a blast!!

They went from Merge Gaming to Revolution Gaming, probably better known as Cake Poker Network. So that is why everything looks completely different now.

Did I miss something here. I played on lock poker in the past, and after I got my **** handed to me, I left that site. but I just checked it out recently and everthing on that site looks different. Players again remind me of 3am session on Full tilt against the crazy russians... Did I miss someting during my absence?
