Other than a friend who host a private game once a week the software appearance and everything else about it is bad. Carbon pays out in 3 weeks. Lock is more like 3 years..... If they don't payout then why bother?

I have only played there a couple of times. I have to assume the reason i dont play there is simple I dont like it. Although I never really put any thought into why. Based on my reading this thread my intuition must have been right on. lol

Happy gaming all and good luck on and off the felt!

I only gave 1 star because I have 2! I have $750 stuck on the site that I know I'll never get back. Good thing i built it from $0. I just have my money sitting there without touching it in hopes they will figure something out so I can get my money!

Been waiting since January 6th for a payout from Lock Poker which is now over 4 months. Think I would take down the banner for this poker site if I was a forum owner. Even the PPA(Poker Players Alliance) has demanded Lock Poker to explain why payouts are practically non existent. The payout process is nothing near the quality of Bovada and Carbon which both have payout times of less than 2 weeks.

Lock is not that great of a poker room. Mediocre amount of players and they do not have as many freerolls as some excellent rooms like Carbon. Carbon Bovada and BCP are much better choices but there is a reason why this site favors Carbon.

The process for withdrawals is very similar to Bovada and Carbon and the UI is not so bad. It's mostly about the amount of players who are actually playing during peak hours.

Brilliant- embezzle millions, stay in business another 20+ years, then shut down thanks to the sponsoring pros for they're great work in allowing this to happen and then selling off their funds to other players

Lock is a ok place for the freeroll they have 3/2 a week giving away 25 109$ tournament tickets , but besides the days the freerolls are on the place has very few players. unless there is 109$ tournament and then there some people playing but % are free rolling and some are just ridiculous making 4-6 re buys. and few good players . so as a no deposit player I like it but seem like more action on carbon poker during the week.

I've played on Lock poker. I was dumb enough to make a deposit there even after reading reviews of players not receiving their checks for months, years or ever at all. I knew I shouldn't have taken the risk but I figured I'd see for myself. Once at the tables I started asking the players if any of them had made/requested withdraws and if so, how long did they wait to get paid. On every table I asked I had exactly 0 players confirm that a payment had been received promptly, exactly 1 player that reported getting paid 8 months after request, exactly 1 player that reported payment 13 months after request, and exactly 3 players who reported never receiving payment at all for upwards of 13 months. This was all the conformation I needed that Lock is not honorable in the way that they conduct business. "Why on earth would they still be playing there?" It serves them right not to be paid if their dumb enough to continue shelling out cash to a site who is so obviously criminal. In my opinion, Jennifer Larson, (owner) should be hung and stoned. The knowledge that I'd probably never get paid killed it for me. I went to the highest table I could afford and blew my 30 dollars as quick as I could so that I could uninstall their software and be rid of them forever. Good riddance.

LOCK IS HORRID....LOCK ARE CROOKS.....LOCK ARE CRIMINALS...DO NOT PUT ANY OF YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY ON LOCK
They take players money and do not pay withdrawals. I understand a lot of people can not keep up with poker news and might miss the biggest uproar in poker right at the moment. Lock Poker moved from the Revolution Network (leaving plenty of unpaid bills), and moved to Lock Poker 2.0. They had either not paid many players, or made many players wait 6-9 months to get there monies. Even I thought the new move might signal a NEW LOCK that would pay withdrawals. From what is witnessed now, it appears they are paying even less people than before they moved.
Many experienced players are currently trying to boycott CardPlayer just because they advertise Lock Poker. That is how bad things are. Until you find that Lock has been paying people who play and have played on their sites, please DO NOT GIVE ANY MONEY TO THESE SCUMBAGS.
I would choose MINUS STARS if that was an option

I am very new to Lock poker. I like the sleek clean look it has.

But found my self every few weeks having to do large updates and re-installing the software. What is up with that? After re-installing and having updated the software, I found that sometimes. It just does not want to run like it was running before.
A feature which I wish ALL poker rooms would have, is this very feature that Lock Poker has!

When you accidentally press that "ALL-IN" button. Lock has this great pop-up window that asks you "ARE YOU SURE YOU WANT TO GO ALL-IN". I thank LOCK POKER everytime I accidentally press the ALL-IN and that pop-up window comes up.
Thank-you Lock !

Besides the great pop-up window. If you time-out on a hand, You are not immediately folded like other poker rooms. You still have a chance to bet/check.

I have made a point of participating in Lock's weekly freerolls to win one of those $109 tickets. Initially it was advertised as a KO freeroll tourney where players KO the LockPros.
Unfortunately for most of the tourneys I have attended. This has not been the case. I can say however. That if you email the Lock support with a concern/complaint. They do get back to you quite promprtly.
My next concern is the rumors that I have heard about Lock's withdrawals 'cashouts'.

These rumors make me feel, oh so very reluctant to deposit into my account. If what I am hearing here, there and everywhere is true?
Are there really players out there that have been waiting for 4+ months for their cashouts?

As a result of what I have mentioned above. I have only given Lock a 3/5 for now.

If I'm not mistaken, didnt their last pro, I cant think of his name quit or get dropped? I remember hearing hes no longer listed on their site as a pro. That place is the last place a US player should look to play online, I'm baffled anyone still really plays there, but then again places like Card Player still advertise it, so newbies to online poker are still depositing there before hearing of the pay out times/ or lack of. I mean you can trade it places but for what, .10 on the dollar? no thanks

I have been playing on Lock and I find the software to be average and the chat to be fine . I understand that player to player transfers are easy but very slow . But I refuse to make a deposit as I've heard some very negative comments about trying to withdraw from the site ! Now I'm only playing on Lock occasionally as I'm still not convinced that site will survive that much longer . So until there is something more concrete being done on this site , I will keep my money in the bank , hopefully earning some interest !

I set up Lock and Carbon poker at about the same time a few years ago, and thought at the time that I'd be playing more at Lock than the other, but it turned out just the opposite. The last time I went to Lock, I had some trouble logging in, and decided it wasn't worth the trouble, so I dumped it. I'm just waiting for Full Flush to become legal in the U.S., and it's lookin like I may be waiting for awhile.

Its a fun site to play on. They have a private game at midnight on Saturday that I play every so often when I can that is a lot of fun. Also they have a few low stake games that I find not to hard to grab a ITM in. A big plus is the chat box that I find easy to read compared to some other sites.

The big question is, how trustworthy are they when it comes time to cash out? I heard that they take a very long time to pay but that was months ago. I hope that problem has changed

I can't say that I know that much about the site since I only played on it once because someone actually fronted me the buy-in. When I tried to deposit there since friends had moved a few games over I met with "We cannot validate your credit care." What? That is the first time I'd ever seen that on any site. They proceeded to tell me I had to fill out an application with the same credit card information, but that I would have to include a copy of a utility bill and my drivers license. What? Sorry....that ain't going to happen. So between that, and my first impression of the site, I decided to give it a pass. Though I still have money here, I'm just not interested.

If Lock didnt owe the Skins so much money then it would/could be a pretty good site but since they do owe so much money that they will most likely never be able to come up with this site gets a -5 Stars cuz they will not be able to sustain sooner rather than later...if you don't believe go see what Lock money is trading for...it's like .25 cents on the dollar...that only means one thing...UH-OH!

The good thing about Lock is the freeroll with little people and the cash game. The negative is that this site doesn't get much traffic, but they sure do have some tournament where the opponent will call with anything. The software is very similar to juicy stakes.

The only thing going for this site is that it is FULL of fish which is why it is getting 1 and 1/2
stars instead of just 1. The software is terrible and outdated. Payouts are a huge hassle and take forever. The payout time has made the Lock dollar worth about .60 if you decide to try selling it off to someone instead of waiting the agonizing amount of time for a check.

Am I allowed to give zero stars?

Any site who has it's players selling at .30-.50 per $1 because they're unable to pay out is undeserving of any praise for any of its software, game selection, service etc. It amazes me they are still running and I look forward to the day they are no longer able to victimize innocent players. Their executives should be jailed imo.

I really like lock and had good runs on lock but i am scared of what i have been hearing about lock like rumors of them closing and they take forever to pay ppl there money. and if you are gonna play to play poker but not get any money back u might as well go but a poker video game and not play for real money. Payouts is everything to me. i dont play poker for the prestige of it. i play to win money. dont get me wrong i love the game but i want to be paid for winning and i am scared now that i am not gonna get paid so i sold my bankroll on they and have spead it out over diffrent sites

I love LOCK, I really love all the sites I have ever played on. I love the fact you have to learn to adjust your play for all the different styles of play on every site. No2 have been the same and playing multiple sites helps me to become a well rounded player...and if you pay attention to the styles that tend to group on each site you can make bank and be a profitable player. I have heard many complain about Lock and I laugh at those players. it means they are the types that don't know how to adjust their play nor do they have the knowledge of the game to pat their back on their loss when they got the call they wanted even if the result kicks them in the ass and puts them on the rail. #1 don't play out of bank roll , Play micros until you can determine your win rate and even if you feel like you are the best player on the site .... never be to big in the britches to go back down to the lower levels until you get your roll back up. Always get your money in right and stop worrying about how many times you get sucked out on , on a particular site.... be proud you got that call win or lose...keep getting it in good and you will be a winning player in the end. #2 Never try and push fish off ... don't give odds for them to get in too cheap not only for hand protection but for value purposes but don't get mad that they don't fold...be happy! That's what you want! lol #3 if you ever catch yourself saying this site always yadda yadda yadda ...then you have now become a rigtard and need to take a break and study up before coming back. #4 Have fun!
Come experience the private Lock games with me and my Railbird family and my clan the Angel's ...they will donk it up at times but they are tough as hell and so much fun to play with. rrrrrrriiiiiiiiiiipppppppp Good luck on the felts. P.S. I don't spell well and I never preproofread so it is what it is .... and if I said something stupid well that's me... the Angel of Perfection at your service!

The MTT tourneys on this site are by far the easiest to win on any online poker site. There are a few problems with the site though. Their mac client looks and operates like a program from windows 95 and has a few glitches. They have also had some recent cashout problems. I cashed out recently in January and received my money almost 4 months later. It causes a lot of frustrations not seeing your money as fast but if you have the patience, I'd recommend this room.

I have enjoyed playing the Private tournaments on Lock. The chat is good and not as restrictive as some sites can be. I think the Ring games have good competition and the site doesn't seem to get silly with close hands and horrible beats. I wish they had more low stake omaha games. Normally only a couple are going at one time.

The site isnt horrible if you have a half way decent pc with a fair bit of ram due to its wonderful resource hogging. Overall the graphics are simple and straight forward with enough options to change the look and feel of tables. The lobby is a little off but still easy enough to get sorted and find your way to tables and tournies.

As for the play, probably a few too many crazy russians but the couple days a month they are hitting doesnt disrupt the many that they arent. The notes section and color coding keep things simple too which is nice as you dont have to do pop-ups or anything as its all within the chat box section. The tournament selection is ok, not great but still alright.

Promotions are constant and deposit/reload bonuses are great if you know the codes and plenty of time to clear them without trying to hustle ass to get it done. All deposit bonuses actually work off a dealt method not raked so again, clearing them is just easy. They still offer p2p transfers as well.

Now the downside is the withdraw situation currently and only time will tell if that will get worked out to be more user friendly. The customer service is actually quite quick and effective I have found in the few instances I have used it, so long as you use the .eu email and not the .com link from their website.

Lock poker is a decent site. It has a very great first time bonus. Though it has very slow at cashing out. Customer service is not the best. Lock poker has some of the best free rolls I have seen on a poker site. The competition is pretty good, and graphics are decent. Lock poker does have some glitches that you be find annoying. The casino is great. You can find just about any game you want to play. Some games have random jackpots which you can win by just betting 20 cents.

Lock isn't too bad visually if you have the power and memory on your pc to play it. I have seen many bad experiences with tourneys cancelled and cash outs delayed. One of the good things I do know of is that it still has p2p. Seems to be a shortage of that nowadays. Again I don't know how good that is when people are struggling to get their money off of it.

I started playing recently at Lock Poker, especially tournaments sit & go Double up NLH$ 2.00 and have greatly enjoyed the Network Revolution is quite nice, and i've had good experiences with other rooms same Network (Betboo, Juicy Stakes), never had problems with support in Lock Poker, even with my account and withdrawn in the Revolution Network. I really like the warnings that appear above highlighted in the lobby of Lock Poker, telling how many minutes are left until the deadline to register for tournaments.** I did my first withdrawal on Lock Poker this week March 24, and will wait to see how long it takes for the money to be credited to my account.

@ OZarkAce Lock has a minimum withdraw of $75 via Western Union with one free per month over one there is a surcharge of 10 percent. or a Minimum of 150 via Check also one free a month, over 1 they charge 25 bucks.
I like the free hud they give you nifty if you don't already have one. as well as keeps track of your wins and losses both for cash games and tourneys.
Haven't tried to cash since they were part of Merge but I have heard some negativity there however have not experienced it myself as of yet.
I like it it is one of the few places I can play that still pay me rakeback.

I have just recently installed ,but I don't play or even open it up.Usually I just uninstall as quickly, but I will wait and see.I might have to go with this option on a redeem. I gave it a 1/2 star rating.

The comments reads backwards in this thread .. lol

As a former multi-table grinder on Full Tilt Poker and Pokerstars on occasion, Lock is probably my 2nd pick as far as terms of quality for online rooms still available to US players. I haven't personally had to use their check cashout option as of yet, but I have used Western Union quite a few times, and they were quicker than most in terms of getting my funds to me. I've noticed some players say they get "blacklisted" after making cashouts, but I've never even remotely had this problem on Lock...

They have a decent selection for tournaments, but I think they could offer more in terms of events for late evening US players. The cash games are good for anything from micros, and in most cases, roughly $1/2 - $2/4 always has a full ring going at all hours.

All in all, 4/5 stars for me. I would consider a five star rating IF they had better software stability than they have as of late. Hopefully they get this fixed in the near future.

widr: "Great for private home tourneys. Has some great players and easy to deposit and receive checks. Hadn't had a problem yet and they deliver the checks on time.
"

This is blatant spam. Straight up post just to get points.
There are are numerous threads on another very reputable forum that says that U.S. and ROW players are expecting MUCH longer wait times to receive cashouts, whether it be via check, WU, Net teller, Moneybookers, you name it, it is taking a long time to get paid! Way longer than advertised. Players that try cashing out via Western Union, are being "blacklisted" (has happened to multiple players) and are then having to request for a check after waiting almost a month and a half to recieve a WU, only to be told you can't. Then the wait process starts again... This time for a check. Players are resorting to selling funds for $.65-$.71 on the dollar just to get funds off in a timely manner....... So please save it when you say " and easy to deposit and receive checks. Hadn't had a problem yet and they deliver the checks on time.
"
Thanks.

Definitely the best site I've ever played online poker with. There have been a few crashes, but despite the inconvenience, the Lock poker site pays back loses. The site seems to be the best for normality of play, being more realistic to live poker. There are still bad beats, but its not like every hand the worst hand wins. I feel more confident playing real money cause it feels like I'm playing for real, not against a computer.

As far as the overall look and workings of the site I do not like it at all. As far as stability of the servers, epic fail on that one. Choice of games and tournaments EH. I am not a fan of the site.

I just started playing on this site. Except for the tech problems that happen, as much as say Carbon, it is the truest site for random hands I have played. It does not seem to have as many ridiculous one or two out catches as most other sites I have been on... at least not yet.

...Have not played here in years and just recently put this poker software back on my computer incase the poker community here has to move the hosted weekend sereis to this poker room. I know they have change networks in the last 6 months as they use to belong to the merge network before and now tehy are with the Revolution Gaming Network.

I have not made a deposit as of yet, rahter hard to put cash on any poker network living where I do, however the cash prize won in the previous weeekend series will most likely be moved to this poker client since a carbon transfer is no longer an option and they have replaced carbon with lock poker as an option to withdraw to in the "My Rewards Balance" section.

I will say one thing that really mpressed me about the new lock poker, when reactivating my old account, I had several issues and had to contact thier support, and we all know what a nightmare support form any poker room can be. Teh folks ay lock poker support answered all 7 of my emails very very quickly. I even sent them two emails the following day and both were answered in less than 10 minutes each, which seems fantastic to me...

IMO Lock's unreliable cashouts have ruined their image. A lot of people that cashed out in november never received funds due to a technical error that has yet to be corrected. Lock money is selling at its lowest rate ever on the dollar. The only plus is that you can still do p2p transfer, which you can't do on merge. The software itself is just ok. They copied a lot from merge, and havent really deviated away or made themselves unique. They do have a lot of pros, so if you like "playing with the pros" then that is a plus. Overall this site is only an OK option.

Lock Poker is great!! They have some cheap tourneys that are perfect for a guy like me plus they have the 100 seat to the 100k tourney that is hard to believe. I've also heard that it is easy to get paid when you make a little money on there and want to buy mama a new pair of shoes.

I'm really not a fan of Lock. It just doesn't play as well as the others. I mean it serves a purpose I suppose, but I just prefer the others more. I wish there were more people. I think they're doing good things to progress, but it's not as quickly as I wish it was.

I play the majority of my real money games on Lock Poker. Of the three networks left available to US players that I have played on, I prefer Lock/Revolution. Tournament selection is much the same as the other networks, with mostly r/a or turbos at the lower stakes, and the play is mostly soft. They do have a $100K GTD game on Sundays, usually with a few $500 pro bounties on the line. This is a $109 game, but they have a 100-seat freeroll satellite on Saturdays, so you can get yourself in that way.

You will see me most every night in the $2 bounty game at 7:50 pm pacific time, and often in the $1 and $2 deepstack turbo GTD Games

P2P transfers are available, but I have yet to attempt a regular cashout. It sounds like Western Union is the way to go but you will pay a premium.

There are a couple of games in the private section I frequent with a regular crowd, and those games are growing. I hope to get some more added in the near future.

Lock is probably one of the better sites left to play on,for u.s. players.they have about the same promotions as other sites, with a few more that other sites dont have.they could use a few more table lay-out options tho.and the lobby takes some getting used to.other than that its a good site to play on.

I really can't make to much of a review for this site because i never played there very much. i do know that for a while you could deposit money with a master card or visa, i think it is only visa now or maybe they don't take either. i don't remember. the few times i played i have no complaints. good amount of traffic.
boy it has been so long since i have even loaded up there software i can't even remember my screen name. i dont remember any rewards like new player freerolls. look at it this way, they take US players and are still around doing business and going strong so they are doing something right. give em a try.

I honestly have never played at lock and have heard good and bad as far as depositing & cashing out are concerned, so I have just not ever looked into it! TBH the hassles of being a US player truly stink IMO & so much for our rights to do with our own $$ that we pay taxes on.....truly a sad situation & one that I hope is changed & soon!

This site is good. but their deposit and payout i think can be better..i say all sites should have option western union also as option..better for players to have broad payout options..but over all the site is great.

In May, Lock Poker left the Merge Gaming Network and acquired the Cake Poker Network along with its flagship site. Lock then re-branded the Cake Poker Network to the Revolution Poker Network, keeping the Cake software in place. I still play on the site since I have a bankroll there and have many friends that still play on the site as well.

Big fan, they have great micro/low level tournament selection. The fields arent outrageous either, if they cover the guaranteed money it isnt by much. My favorite ones are the $3 and $5 rebuys. Only complaint is that to my knowledge (last time I played was a few months back) there were no hand histories for tournaments which made taking notes basically impossible. I also really like their interface, reminds me of Pokerstars.

Lock was one of the sites I played on the most after Black Friday, did very well there even earning myself a ribbon and winnings from a freeroll. Once they switched over to Revolution though, I did not care for it at all. It was hard for me to find good games (competition) and did not like the software at all. I would recommend the casino though, in particular the slots. LOL The kids and I blew my BR playing there but had such a blast!!

They went from Merge Gaming to Revolution Gaming, probably better known as Cake Poker Network. So that is why everything looks completely different now.

Did I miss something here. I played on lock poker in the past, and after I got my **** handed to me, I left that site. but I just checked it out recently and everthing on that site looks different. Players again remind me of 3am session on Full tilt against the crazy russians... Did I miss someting during my absence?
