OnGame
The OnGame Network has one of the most impressive backgrounds of any online poker network, going back over a decade in time. It is one of the largest multi-room online poker networks, with well over 6 million registered users.

The vision of the OnGame Network originated in 1999 when a pair of Uppsala University students / professional poker players foresaw the prospective capabilities of online poker. Claes Lidell and Oskar Hörnell, with the help of Oskar’s brother, set forth to conceive their own online poker site, dubbed PokerRoom.com. The site was launched in October of 1999.

It was little more than an experimental poker room at that time, and did not implement real-money poker games until 2001. The real-money aspect was an instant success, achieving a positive cash flow within the first month and netting SEK $2 million in profits ($9 million before taxes and overhead) on the year.

In 2003 the online poker industry realized a traffic growth rate of 600%, and the OnGame Network was right there to capitalize on it. The online poker network grew to 1.4 million registered users, more than doubling to 3.5 million in 2004.

Up until this point, the online poker network was operating under the brand "PokerNetwork", but reintroduced itself under the trademark "OnGame Network". Under its new title, the OnGame Network, and its premier site PokerRoom.com, were experiencing so much success the company opened two new branches in Sweden and Costa Rica.

Another milestone for the OnGame Network came in 2005 when it was named "IT Company of the Year" by Swedish magazine Veckans Affärer, hitting the 6 million registered users mark.

OnGame has continued blazing a trail of success in the online poker industry since that time, now maintaining a multiude of online poker rooms on its pioneering poker platform, the P5 Poker Engine, copiously equipped with all of the latest technological innovations.
