Busy Pius Heinz looking to hire personal PR interns
2011 WSOP Main Event Champion Pius Heinz has been extremely busy since winning the world's most prestigious poker tournament. So busy that he is now looking to hire a number of personal interns.
Reigning WSOP Main Event Champion Pius Heinz has seen his life turn around completely since he won more than $8.7 million at the November Nine.

So much in fact that he is now hiring personal interns to help him with practical issues and PR assignments.

Heinz' call for interns has been listed on German job site Jobmensa.de, and outlines a number of tasks for the right applicants.

Among the core responsibilities are handling of PR campaigns, developing brand strategies, research, taking care of social media, and development of Heinz' personal image.

The 22-year-old Heinz and his team further inform that the German star is looking for two interns, who will be offered internships of between three and six months, depending on need and availability.

Each intern will be given the opportunity to work in "a fun environment" with room for "implementation of own ideas," the call reads.

All interns will be based in Cologne, Germany, at the Teknologiezentrum, where they will be working closely with Heinz and his personal entourage in return for a compensation of €400 a month.

The job offer is the first of its kind ever issued by a WSOP Main Event winner, and reflects the enormous popularity of Heinz in his native Germany, where his WSOP triumph has been noted far and wide.

Besides rising to become a major name in the poker industry, Heinz has also crossed over to mainstream media, where he has given large numbers of interviews with some of the biggest German, Austrian and Swiss publications and TV stations.

Anyone interested in becoming an intern for the in-demand WSOP Champion can read the call for applications (in German) here.

I'm not sure how much 400 euro is comparison to 520 american dollars but that seems low for per month pay.

The "wage" is not a wage, but a compensation for work. It's a system quite normal in Western Europe when taking on interns, and especially in Germany where there is a culture for this kind of work. Essentially, the offer is not directed at professionals, but to youngsters who are looking to make a little extra pocket money and build their resumes. I am not in favor of this system, as working 40 hours a week for €400 is somewhat ridiculous from a professional point of view, but again it's not "work" as such, and quite normal for teenagers etc. who are looking to gain experience.

Yup after winning 8.7 million dollars, he sure can afford to hire personal interns, theres no harm in that at all, i can only imagine how proud his family members and relatives would be of him, running like a beast on the world series of poker and taking down the main event he has had a sick run of good luck, very good for him :-)
