bwin.party has announced the launch of a real-money bwin poker app for the iPad, based on the same interface as the company's real-money apps for Android and iOS smart phones.

bwin was one of the first companies to develop and release real-money gambling on mobile devices with its smart phone app already in January last year.

The new iPad app will come fully integrated with the bwin online poker client, giving players full access to their accounts while they are on-the-go, says Berthold Kao, who heads the Mobile, Touch and Video department at bwin.party.

"The bwin iPad Poker app gives bwin.com customers unrestricted access to the bwin poker account – now with the full iPad resolution of 1,024 by 768 pixels," Kao explains in a press release.

With the release, bwin.party will be close to fulfilling its portfolio of mobile gaming applications, meaning that the company can now offer players a complete mobile gaming experience, Kao says.

"The bwin iPad Poker app extends our lead in mobile entertainment on tablet devices and builds on our hugely successful iPhone Poker app that bwin.party designs with its own mobile development teams. Together with the bwin Sports App for pre-event and live betting enthusiasts and several Casino games for Android and iPhone as well as Java based phones, we now offer our customers an exciting portfolio of games."

bwin.party's iPad poker app release follows other companies who have announced real-money iPad and iPhone poker platforms within the past months, including Bet24 and the world's largest online poker room, PokerStars.
