Daniel "jungleman12" Cates and Andrew Feldman appear to be arranging a fight to take place during this summer's WSOP. Both players have hinted to be willing to line up for the fight via statements on their Twitter accounts.
Daniel "
jungleman12" Cates and Andrew Feldman could be the next
poker pros to hit the boxing ring, according to recent updates from both players' Twitter accounts.
The rumor of a potential fight started last night when Cates issued a message to Feldman, asking if he would be willing to line up for a fight in an unspecified category.
The fight, according to Cates' tweet, could be arranged during this summer's WSOP.
"So you still want to do the fight? Let's schedule for this WSOP perhaps? #Ringmatch" Cates
tweeted.
As said, Cates did not specify what category of fighting the two would take on, but Feldman was quick to reply, confirming that he is up for the challenge.
"Sure let's do it! #hu4rollz" was the short
reply from the British poker pro.
The proposed fight between the two
high stakes specialists has already caught the attention of poker fans, with a threat now running on
Two Plus Two, discussing who of the two would be the favorite if a fight was to take place this summer.
While it still remains to be seen whether or not a fight will actually be arranged, it would not be the first time two poker pros decide to take to the ring to lock horns.
Most recently in November, Team PokerStars pros Bertrand "ElKy" Grospellier and Lex Veldhuis squared off in a highly anticipated kickboxing match in Marbella, Spain.
The match was recorded for
TV and ended with
Veldhuis winning on knockout as he delivered a decisive kick to Grospellier's head in round two.
