Daniele Nestola leads LAPT Grand Final, Negreanu fifth
The final table of the Latin American Poker Tour's Grand Final in São Paolo has been set, with German Daniele Nestola holding the chip lead. Daniel Negreanu is also among the final eight, currently sitting on the table's fifth largest stack.
The Latin American Poker Tour is coming to an end after the final table of the tour's Grand Final in São Paolo, Brazil, was set last night.

The São Paolo final is the culmination of the tour's fourth season, and follows events at the PCA in Bahamas, São Paolo, Brazil, Viña del Mar, Chile, Lima, Peru, Punta del Este, Uruguay, and Medellín, Colombia.

A total of 367 players had signed up for the $2,300 Grand Final, and following five days of play, the tournament has now reached its eight-player final table, with the South American players so far dominating the event.

From the eight players who qualified for the last table of the tournament, six are from the continent, with players representing countries as diverse as Chile, Ecuador, Argentina, Venezuela and Brazil.

The two remaining seats, however, will perhaps be the most talked-about, as they belong to German chip leader Daniele Nestola and Team PokerStars pro Daniel Negreanu.

Nestola ended Day 3 as the chip leader after having surged through the counts on the final stages of play, and will now begin tonight's final table with a 1,892,000 stack.

He is followed by Carlos Ibarra of Chile with 1,297,000, Gasperino Nicolas from Venezuela with 1,190,000 and Jonathan Markovitz of Ecuador with 991,000 as the players with the biggest stacks.

Negreanu is fifth with 702,000, followed by Juan Gonzales from Argentina with 548,000, Felipe Morbiducci from Chile with 347,000, and finally, Vitor Torres from Brazil, who is the short stack with 273,000.

All players are already secured a minimum payout of $15,344, while the eventual Season Four LAPT Champion will walk away with $189,196.
